"Their staff is very friendly. The Dentist has a great chairside manner. They have a gentle touch and explain what they are doing while they are doing the work. They are reasonably priced.

"Great procedure! Dr.
Brown DDS did a fabulous job removing my old crown and replacing it with a new CEREC crown made in office and placed" in one visit. Dr
is great, always sweet and kind. More imortantly, she is extremely knowledable and competent. I have had two fillings performed on previous visits. Dr
did a great job each time. I am so glad I found
Smiles through Angie's list reviews, back in 2013. This is a great place to go for all your dental needs. Also a BIG shout out to dental hygenist,
at

I am familiar witht he ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers across the country, in particluar, the one in Overland Park, KS.  They are a "one stop" implant center.  The doctors there are at the top of their field, and an advantage is that you have all of the specialists that will be working with you in the same place.  That would have to make communication easier between doctors.  They usually offer seminars for patients and I think, offer free consultations, which is always worthwhile.

If you chose to go the other way, some Prosthodontists will place and restore the implants themselves. In other cases, an Oral Surgeon or Periodontist will place the implant and a Prosthodontist or General Dentist restores it.   Fees can vary quite a bit from office to office and with the different options for restorative materials.  Some offer free consultations, for others, they charge a fee that might be applied to any future treatment in some cases.

The first step is to schedule a few consultations with different providers, which it sounds like you've already done.

The most important factors when deciding which practitioner to work with:
:
.1.  You should feel comfortable asking your doctor any questions so that you have a good understanding of the procedure itself, healing time and long-terem outcome, and possible complications.  Write down a list of questions and take them with you to the consultation.

2.  Ask about the experience of the practitioner. How many similiar procedures have they completed?  Have they had any major complications with any cases?  Ask to see photos if possible.

3..Figure out if it works out better for your schedule, to go to a "one stop" provider or to separate providers for the placement and the restoration of the implants.

4. Follow your instincts.  If you feel rushed, didn't get direct answers to your questions, didn't communicate well or had any other negative feelings, this probably isn't the doctor for you.

5. Consider insurance coverage and financing options.  If your dental plan covers implants and it is important to you to use a preferred provider, you will want to check your list.  Many times, insurance does not cover implants, or at least not all of the steps.  You may want to inquire about payment and financing options.

I hope this at least helps you feel a little less confused and a little more directed. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further help.
Sincerely,

As a  Dentist, I am sorry to hear about your denture nightmare and I know how frustrating that can be.  I am surprised that your doctor wasn't willing to work with you on some type of solution.  A few options would be either remaking the dentures once more,  or offering to return some of the money and have you return the dentures.   Unfortunately, the doctor has put in a lot of their time and lab expenses, but the patient also  has time and money invested.  You might try sending a letter re-explaining the problems you hand and offering an acceptible and fair solution.  Be sure to keep a copy of it and any correspondence you receive from the Dental Office.  In the event that you don't get anywhere, you have documentation of the problem.

At any point in the process, did they have you sign something saying you were happy with the denture set up?  Some practitioners will document the patient's acceptance at the try-in appointment, before the denture is processed.  At that time, changes in tooth arrangement, size and color can be made with minimal lab expense.

If the letter doesn't get you anywhere, you might try going to the governing body of the dental profession in your area.  I am a dentist in Blue Springs, Missouri, USA.  Here, we have the Missouri Dental Board  (or the Dental Division of the Missouri Department of Professional Registration.)  This is the entity that licenses us to perform our professional duties in our state.  They often have a process to file complaints against a provider if you were unable to resolve the problem yourself.   After your complaint is received, they will contact the doctor to get their side of the story, then try to mediate a solution between the two parties.

As far as a new set of dentures, you might seek out the services of a Prosthodontist (specializes in dentures and removable appliances - extra training and certification beyond general dentistry) or go to a local dental school.  The students are supervised and checked off at each step by professionals.  Most dental schools also treat patients through their faculty practices, and you can often get the services of a specialist at a lower price.

I hope this information is helpful to your situation, and I wish you well.

They are great. They it make a pleasant experience. They got through to me about tooth care. My whole family goes to them and have been going to them for at least 20 years. Over the course of going to them I have gone to a wheelchair. She moved the office to accommodate patients with wheelchairs and walkers.

He's done cavities, crowns, and most recently, he did an implant. He recommended a really good endodontist to do the implant. He runs the office very efficiently. I'm in and out in no time. I typically wait 5 minutes to be seen when I arrive.

please. See above. Staff was nice but could do little in the face of their bosses huge ego driven behavior and greed. I have had excellent dentists since an early age, and rarely had problems. He was one of the worst I have encountered in terms of arrogance and trying to create extra work for himself. I certainly will not have him do any work. The appointment with him was a patient's nightmare.

I had to reschedule this filling several times due to family illness. The staff was always very helpful and understanding about rescheduling. The appointment itself went well. Dr.
Turners Falls Dentists Provider Name Locked
started on time and completed the work as quickly as possible. Actually, the longest part was waiting for the Novocain to take effect. I sometimes need more than one shot. He was excellent at making sure that I couldn't feel anything before starting. He was also good about explaining anything I might experience after the procedure, which was helpful as I did have some minor jaw pain for several days afterwards. Since I knew what to expect I didn't feel that I needed to schedule a follow-up to check it out. Dr.
Turners Falls Dentists Provider Name Locked
has a very gentle, knowledgeable, and thorough bedside manner. I have been happy with his work. The only thing that puzzled me a bit, is that I was asked to pay for this filling at the time I scheduled it. Perhaps I didn't read the financial arrangement information closely enough at my first appointment. However, the staff member who checked me out after the filling seemed surprised that I had already paid for it!

the cleaner did a great job, but they took me in 4 mins late, and after waiting 15 mins for the doctor to do a final checkup I left due to other commitments. they need to do a better job with treating their patients with respect. Our time is money too.

It really appears that the goal of Dr
Turners Falls Dentists Provider Name Locked
is to delay treatment of minor problems until they become less-than-minor (and much more expensive) to treat. On numerous occasions, I have had him tell me, "We want to keep an eye on that tooth" over the period of several visits, then be told, "there's pretty significant deterioration here, I think we need to do a root canal and a crown". Really, there was no kind of preventive treatment that could have been done, and you waited until I needed a $3,000 procedure before you actually did anything? This has happened several times already, I'm getting fed up.
My elderly mother has only been a patient there for a couple years, but has had a lot of problems with the quality (or lack thereof) of services and procedures there. She had $25,000 of implants done, during which she was given some kind of temporaries while the permanent implants were being made. In the following weeks, she had at least 5 failures of the temporaries -- falling out, breaking, etc. She was forced to make several trips to Gentle Dentist to have repairs made, and there was never any kind of explanation made as to why they were incapable of providing her with temporaries that would simply last until they were replaced. Mom typically needs to be driven to the dentist's office, so the numerous repeated trips back to get repairs were an imposition.
Recently Mom had a tooth break off (or fall out?) that Dr
Turners Falls Dentists Provider Name Locked
had just capped less than two years ago. This highlighted TWO problems:
1) Mom had asked about getting several of her front teeth extracted and replaced with implants, Dr
Turners Falls Dentists Provider Name Locked
refused and said he just needed to cap a couple of them. One of those is the one that just broke off. It appears he could charge her $2k for a crown, and then charge her again for repair and/or an implant when the tooth failed.
2) Mom was in discomfort when that tooth failed, and immediately called Dr
Turners Falls Dentists Provider Name Locked
's office and left a message on the "emergency number" so someone could call her back and she could get treatment of further instructions. 36 hours later, that message had not been acted upon in any way by anyone at Gentle Dentist. When Mom complained that she'd left a message nearly two days ago and had not been contacted, she was simply told, "We'll look into that".
Bottom line: If you want a responsive dentist who looks out for the best interest of the patient (as opposed to promoting the most expensive treatments), you want to look elsewhere. I've been a patient there since before Dr
Turners Falls Dentists Provider Name Locked
arrived, but I'm now searching for a new dentist. I'm through with that nonsense. He has a fantastic staff, but that doesn't make up for the fact that I feel like I'm being fleeced for sub-standard treatment.
