was very personable and professional. He changed the igniter (a lower-cost part and common culprit of an oven not heating when turned" on) but that didn't fix it. He had to order the panel and returned a few days later to replace it. Overall it was a great experience. I definitely recommend Mr.
and will call him again for future appliance repair.

"Water dispenser had broken. We called to schedule the service andwere able to send them a picture of the broken part so they could be sure to have the right part" and only need to make (and charge us for) one trip.
, as always, was great in making the repair.

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

As stated above, it can vary between companies.

Typically just an inspection implies you do not have a contract or agreement that may include discounts or free repairs.

With our company you would get the annual maintenace service that you should do every year, and if repairs are needed, they are extra, but you aviod paying a "service call charge" that would be related to most repairs, because you are paying for the "inspection" and we are already on site.

Inspections are often discounted in the slow seasons, and can usually be found advertised , at reduced prices , on Angie's List.

So consider Angie's List and find the best of the best in HVAC contractors!

I have never seen one of this type that does not exit the house. You would not want the grease dumping into your basement, even with a filter it will happen.

The greater part of your job will be carpentry as if there is a wall behind the stove a hole will have to be cut up through the basement into the wall up to the stove. Unless it is one of the stoves that allows for it to fit inside a cabinet below. To answer correctly most here would be a picture of where this project is being done. I have done motorized ones that extend up out of the counter when in use and then retract. Those exit through the cabinet and require the cook top is to the front of the counter and not a drop in one

As an added note these tend to be better as they do not pull the heat away from the stove top when in use as much as the ones flush with the stove. I have install quite a few and happen to have an Amana cook top with built in down draft and I have to shut it of to get water to boil on the back burners.

A carpenter will know what can be cut and what not in the basement, a sheet metal contractor should know as well but at the other end for the finish by the stove they might not. Most carpenters that do kitchens have installed the minimal amount of duct work for this. They just have to be carefull with the number of ellbows and the lenght of the duct.

I had major flooding of my kitchen floor under dishwasher,
Springfield Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
kindly squeezed me into his busy schedule on a Monday morning, I had left a message Sunday night. He quickly found the source of issue, the pump was spraying water and leaking. He made some very good suggestions regarding how to dry the wood area that had been soaked. On the same visit I asked him to diagnose a problem with ice maker, quickly solved that issue as well.
He clearly knows his trade, is professional, gets right to the source in no time, and I have the utmost confidence in his work. so glad to have someone I can rely on for any future issues. I highly recommend him!!

The washer is running perfectly. When I placed my call, I explained that it would only agitate no matter which wash cycle I tried to use. The next day I received a call back, and was asked to give him the washer's serial number, and then discuss dates and times. He was very accommodating and I was pleased that he was able to service it on a Saturday, since my job is not that flexible. Based on our conversation alone, he ordered a part for the washer, and that part is what was need. Amazing. He was very knowledgeable and I learned that the drum on the washer was plastic and not porcelain. I also learned a helpful tip from Nick, that plastic drums can build up mold, and I was smelling something but I was not sure what it could be. Nick suggested to use a

of vinegar in a wash cycle, at least twice a year, hopefully it will do the tick. Thanks again Nick for your service.

, after hours, he answered; not just an answering machine. I told him the make and model of my washer, told him the symptoms, we went back and forth a few times. At the end he said "Based on what you've described, it sounds like the motor. A motor job on that would be $250. Why spend $250 on a 15 or 20 year old washer? I'd recommend you go buy a new one."
While it would be nice to have a scheduled fix for the washer, I really REALLY appreciate

's honesty. I would recommend him to anyone.

The service call appointment process was very good. I would say the promptness of the just OK - apparently one of the repair men had quit and our repairman was late. Took some time to get the dishwasher out and it was put back slightly crooked. Asked him about the the reinstall and said he used the same holes. I ended up repositioning the washer correctly. Overall experience was so so. Will look elsewhere next time repair service is required.

The provider was accommodating with his time when we explained the urgency of the work: Our fridge had stopped working and we couldn't hear it come on and off anymore. Our unit is 13 years old and we were preparing for the worst.

gave us a call first thing in the morning after we contacted him and set a time for the visit. He asked questions on the phone and we knew then that he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was very thorough in his explanation over the phone. We set a time for repair.
Provider arrived on time and was cordial. He started to work right away while explaining to us exactly what he was doing and the best and worst-case scenarios. He applied several tests to the compressor and gave us his diagnostic and the solution. He was very detailed about the charge for the service before and after he did the work. We are very pleased with

and will definitely use the service again.

called to let me know he was on his way and showed up on time. Based on the sound the dryer made, he told me it was probably either a worn ball bearing or something stuck in the dryer. Before opening up the appliance,
Springfield Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
told me exactly how much the labor would cost. He let me know that if he had to perform repairs, I would have to also pay for parts, but that the labor charges would be unaffected. That is, the labor cost is for opening up the machine. Whereas I believe this company to be honest and professional, I think their prices are a little high. I paid $180.00 because I had a $50 discount through an Angie's List deal. The actual cost would have been $230.00, which I think is high because the job took only about 35 minutes.

t was easy to make an appointment. Tech came out on time and diagnosed the problem quickly. He stayed to make sure everything was running properly. Tech was nice and professional.
First time I've had anybody come out and fix my dishwasher, so I didn't know what to expect price wise. May check other places to see what pricing goes for, the next time. They did explain a $59 service call fee when I made the appointment. If you decide to go with them, that fee is waived. If you decide to go with another company, you have to pay that amount. The $129 included my 10% off and an additional $15 off for writing a review on Google...otherwise, it would have been $159.

Amazing service!
Springfield Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
is the owner of the business. He was very professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. He came to my home the same day I spoke with him, at the end of a very busy day. He was efficient, did not make a mess, and explained what had caused the problem. He also double-checked his work and said that he would return free of charge if the problem recurs soon. He also called when he was about a half hour from my home so that I knew exactly when to expect him. I was pleased to have my dryer back in working order in a very short time!
