"We first tried YesVideo which is a membership warehouse volume company which states that they will perform the transfers of different media types to DVD. We allowed"
's Club to transfer 18 reels of 8mm family films to DVD for us. When they were through I had 6 DVD's and my 8mm reels had been transferred onto 7 inch reels for return to us. We reviewed one DVD and found it to have about 20 minutes of transferred media onto it. The next had about 13 minutes on it. The 3rd had about 7 minutes of transfer and the quality seemed to us as if it could be better. We stopped reviewing the DVD's after the three and I took them back to
's Club for a full refund. Problem was since the contents of the (18) 8mm reels (each were individually boxed in the original box with the dates and activities of each of the reels on them) were now spliced together onto 3 seven inch reels, we had no idea how to determine what was on each of the reels returned by Yes Video or even what order they were transferred. I then turned to Angie's List to seek an alternative to YesVideo and found Nick
. He and his company were highly rated and I read nearly all of the member reviews. I contacted Nick directly via his contact info, told him of the above and I told him I had a total of 45 8mm reels. He said that I could send them to him directly to Virginia and he would personally handle their processing. I told Nick that I would send the 18 reels that YesVideo had processed and see how they turned out before I would send the other 27 reels. Nick told me that the price would be by the foot. Nick processed the transfer and we ended up paying 0.12 per foot for the first 18 reels. We opted for standard processing as explained on his website as we just wanted the memories captured on DVD and to have a back up copy of our memories to share with family members. Nick shipped the DVD's, emailed us with a tracking number for the USPS and asked us to let him know what we thought of the outcome. We were very pleased that the transfers came out as well as they did as the old 8mm reels were not kept in storage properly and as a result, some sections were not as good as others, but we were elated that further deterioration of the reels was not a concern as our family memories were now on DVD's. I called Nick and asked him where our reels were and he said that he ships the DVD's first, separate from the reels, as it prevented the reels and DVD transfers from being lost by the shipper. It also allowed Nick to retain the reels for reprocessing should we have any questions or problems with the outcome. We did not and I sent Nick a photograph of the remaining 27 reels so he would know what he was dealing with in relation to total footage and he responded that he would process the remaining reels for 0.10 per foot if we pre-paid, which we did. We received our DVD's and we were very pleased! Nick sent the master DVD, a Back-Up DVD to share with my wife's sister who was a part of these memories and Nick even provided us with a Master Archive DVD for each. 45 total 8mm reels transferred to TWO DVD's! (not counting the copies.) Nick always answered my calls and was even faster to respond to my many email questions about the process. We have some more family memories (more recent of course) on some VHS tapes and we will be sending them to
soon! I highly recommend Nick and his company to capture and store your precious family memories onto DVD's before the become older and more deteriorated.

was great! We chatted first on the phone and when I decided I wanted him to do the project, he offered to come to my home to pick up the" original tape. He was very polite and professional. We got in touch again about a week later, and he delivered all the DVDs and the original VHS back to my home. Door-to-door service!! The DVDs came out great and I am 100% satisfied. I need to dig out all my other old VHS tapes to have
convert those as well! Highly recommend!

, did a fantastic job for both my church and for me. I had restored nearly 700 old photos for my church, and used about 475 to create a moviie, or pictorial history of the church, for the 100th Anniversary Celebration of our church. The movie needed to be converted to the proper DVD format, and then have 325 DVD’s produced for members of our congregation. To prepare for this, I first created a brief tribute movie to my parents.

converted my personal movie file, and produced about 7 copies for me and various family members.

did what another company could not do. I originally took my parents’ movie to another company, which failed to produced working DVD’s after THREE attempts. It was then that I heard about

. I immediately felt valued as a customer, and I felt the care for both my church project and my personal project, right from the first conversation. I had to choose a company I had complete confidence in… knowing that I would be entrusting the 100th Anniversary Celebration project to the company I would ultimately choose.
I just picked up both the church DVD’s and my parents’ DVD’s. I viewed a DVD from each batch at home, and they look wonderful! I am so pleased, and I know the members of my church will be thrilled as well when they receive their copies at the celebration banquet.
I am working on a new movie tribute to my entire family, and will have

handle this project as well. I have decided to have them transfer my parents’ old wedding movie, which is in Super 8 format, to DVD next. They have many services available, and would recommend them to anyone. I’m a very pleased and happy customer.

I began this effort back on June 28, 2015, by purchasing a Big Deal for three transfers for $49.99. I had several questions over the next several days, which Nick answered, and I also asked for the order to be "platinized" (explained on the
Quincy Video Services Provider Name Locked
website, for which I would send in some additional money to cover the cost). Then work and vacation got in my way, etc. and I finally got my order into the hands of

21. After a few weeks, I hadn't heard anything about progress or what-have-you, so I emailed as to where the transfer work was in progress (or in queue), and Nick responded that I had great timing and that the transfers were done and would be shipping the next day, August 11. This was great, and I let a few days go by (the distance between the company and my house is about an hour away), but I received no DVD's . I had to ask again on August 18 what became of my DVD's and NIck was very apologetic, as he was trying to rectify one of the videos that had some really bad contrast issues and sound dropping out. He was able to recover the sound and recover the video, but in the meantime days had gone by and he just hadn't caught back up with me to let me know. As I said, he was very apologetic about the time delay, and the DVD's came in the mail on August 20. The DVD's look great and we are happy we had the VHS tapes transferred to DVD for safekeeping and archival. Throughout the process Nick has been responding quickly to all email questions, etc. I would be happy to do business with

again in the future.

I had approximately 25 reels of 8mm film that my Mother had taken in the mid-50s. I had never seen any of the film and was not aware if it was still viewable. Looking at reviews, I saw that
Quincy Video Services Provider Name Locked
had a number of positive reviews for this service. I took the film to them in April, received an estimate of $300, and was told the process would take about 6 weeks. For this process, they send the 8mm film to a centralized place with special equipment. After 6 weeks I had not heard from them, and I called to check on the status. They checked, returned my call, and informed me it would be another week. Within the week, they called me to let me know my film and DVDs were back. They DVDs are amazing with very clear pictures. I could not imagine a better result.

Excellent service - even sent DVD overnight due to some miscommunication regarding

box and family reunion was quickly approaching. Would definitely use their services again. Online coupons are much cheaper than Costco.

I did the angies list special deal. I guess that made them super busy because it took quite a while. I was not in a hurry and was informed they were running behind. When I did not hear from them I emailed and right away they got back to me. They had run out of the high quality DVD's I ordered, so he sent me a set of DVDs right away not recorded on the high quality archival quality discs.I thought that was very nice of them to do. With in a couple weeks I got the complete set recorded on the archival quality DVDs I had ordered. We just finished watching them, they were fine considering some of the tapes I had sent were not in good shape.
I would use them again, just not if I was in a hurry.

from VHS to DVD. I was a little bit worried to send my children only home movies to them but I was so happy when I received them all in DVD, good quality regardless these were old movies saved in VHS. They were so professional , they explain the process with all the details and they answer your questions in a timely manner . And last but not least their prices are awesome,!!! I will definitely use their services. I highly recommend them !!!

I was amazed. Nick was extremely thorough and the quality of the transfer was better than what I had hoped. They even had upgraded my order and provided me with extra copies. I have already sent in more tapes to be copied.

I delivered film on 4/29/15 and was told it would be ready on 5/9/15. Not only was it ready but it was ready two days ahead of time. He called twice to keep me updated. The service went far above and beyond what I expected. Getting this type of service is rare and so well appreciated. He took great care to preserve my precious memories and I will be forever grateful.
