"The plumber came out the following Monday and within an hour my basement was drying up. It is now as dry as it has ever been . Thanks to
" 's honesty, years of experience and good advice he saved me thousands of dollars. His company will get my recommendation for anyone looking for help with water issues involving their basement or foundation.

B
" The two workers,
and
, were polite, courteous and punctual. My one concern was that they did not inform me" about the deteriorated condition of the brick on the west wall before tacking up that plastic. I feel as part of the waterproofing process they should have repaired that wall or at least informed me of the condition of the wall. It was only discovered when I had basement remodelers to come in and give estimates for completing the remodeling of the basement. I feel that tacking up the plastic on the wall was deceptive of them.

Contractors say homeowners with this trait are the most satisfied with home improvement projects.

Basement Waterproofing

It’s easy to do, but forgetting your crawl space can have plenty of negative consequences for the rest of your home from poor air quality to high energy bills.

Basement Waterproofing

If your basement floods, two critical questions need quick answers. First, where did the water come from. and second, how much will the basement flooding cost to fix? Here's what you need to know.

Angie's Answers

?
Mold in a basement is a common problem. My company helps people with this every day. Some of the answers you received were helpful but not all the information is correct. First, you need to eliminate the two main ingrediants that mold needs to survive. The first one is water intrusion. This is a must. I am assuming you have no water intrusion as you make no mention. The second componant that needs to be eliminated is moisture. Moisture is also humidity. Basements need to be kept airtight in the summer months. Some folks have posted that you need air flow in your basement. Nothing could be furthur from the truth. When you open any windows for example, not one micron of air goes out of the basement, Warm humid air is sucked into the basement. Houses suck air into the basement and it meets the cool surfaces and skyrockets humidity. The windows must be kept closed and a dehumidification device installed to ensure humidity stays below 60% humidity. The dehumidifier should be energy star rated and purchasing a seperate humidity guage is a must to monitor the unit's progress. We like to keep our customer's basements at 50% humidity. This eliminates the smell that is active mold spore growth. Once the water and humidity is brought under control. Remove the organic materials that have mold on them. Walls, sheetrock and studs that have been affected. Follow the advice of previous posts as you must ensure that you do not affect the rest of the home. Once removed, install new walls using as much inorganic material as possible. We also install vapor barrier over the walls and seal the floors to stopwater vapor transmission into the basement. Poly plastic is not a acceptable vapor barrier. It is not "zero-perm" and will still allow moisture transmission. It will also crack and break into pieces over the years. A PVC liner rated "zero-perm" is the correct product in this application. Depending how large the basement is and if it is sectioned off will determine the dehumidifier strength. We use the Santa Fe line of dehidifiers as they are super energy efficiant and work like a dehumidifier on steriods. I hope this helps and I wish you the best in Basement Health!
?

Where is the home located, what is the exterior wall construction and type, how is the space heated?

It could be a whole host of different scenarios that would generate that result.  It is nearly impossible to tell but I would say that most basement moisture problems are a result of bulk moisture intrusion or condensation issues.

Given the deep and hard winter this year, it could be a condensation issue that hadn't previously been shown.

The salesperson was responsive, friendly and knowledgeable. The installation crew was on time, installed the braces as contracted and cleaned up after. I couldn't have asked for more.

I scheduled an appointment to have an estimate done on multiple cracks in my foundation. They called the day before the appointment to confirm and were supposed to arrive between 12-2 the next day. I received a call about 2:30 stating he was on his way. I told him not to bother. He never explained why he was late and never tried to contact me earlier to state that he would be late.

I called them this morning and I'm not sure what I have because they put it in and didn't really explain. They did what I expected them to do but they made a big mess. I've already spent $2400.00 getting some of it cleaned up. They did the job well but they are coming back to explain what I have. They got it done in a day which I was happy about but what they left me with was a mess. They offer financing but financing is horrible.

He determined that our cracks were superficial and no repair was needed. He was very friendly and knowledgable. He provided advice on other questions too.

The crew carried on the same professionalism that

had demonstrated. The foreman and the rest of the crew were very neat, organized and considerate of my property. I felt at ease asking them questions I had before and during the process. The first thing they did was put up a plastic tarp to section off the area they were working in. They worked herd for 3 days, the final result was clean and neat, no surprises. The week the crew came to work was probably the coldest week in 2014. I cannot say enough about the staff and

company. I've had quotes from a famous company that was featured on a investigative TV show, he only wanted to do the entire basement (install drain around entire perimeter), regardless if I needed it or not. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, dependable, and reputable basement waterproofing contractors, just call

They were very professional and made sure the upstairs was protected from the sheet rock dust while they were sanding. By the end it all looked smooth and there were no gaps or rough areas. I have used cable home repairs for several of my houses and they always do a great job.

It was impressive. First a guy came out to inspect the foundation and found no problems! I am used to inspectors finding problems just to pay their salary. Two weeks later another guy came out to inspect the sump pumps by pouring water into the sumps. One of the sumps was full of rocks so he cleaned it out. That in itself was a lot of work. If he charged three times as much, it would have been worth it.

They were very professional. the original bid was for 45 feet of work, but the guys on site determined that it just needed to be the middle 15 feet. So they wrote up a new proposal and completed the work that day.

I waited several months to write the review to make sure the work fixed the problem. Every spring I spent at least one night mopping up water that would leak in to the basement from the front of the house.
Quincy Waterproofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
fixed the problem. We have been through several storms where the ground was saturated and not a drop has come into the basement.
The previous owners disguised the problem by sticking a towel behind the panel wall which would absorb the small amounts of water that would leak in. Only when the towel became completely saturated during week long storms would it leak into our basement. That towel was quite a science project when Basement Technology removed it.
