"We went into our kitchen remodel wanting the
marble look for our countertops but with more durability. JT recommended super-white quartzite" and while looking at different granite and quartz options, I couldn't have agreed with him more. The quartzite is gorgeous and we decided to put it in our powder bath as well. He brought over several different backsplash choices so that I could see them next to the quartzite. We decided to go with a marble backsplash and it looks amazing. JT was great, his crew was courteous and professional, and I couldn't be happier with our new kitchen and bath. Looking forward to more projects in the future.

"When we initially visited
we had already been to numerous slab locations and did NOT find what we liked. When we visited
" , they had a slab and 2 pieces of the same material, that we really liked. It did not appear that there was enough material to do our kitchen, but with the help of

out to measure and he thought that they could make it work. We did have to buy a farmhouse sink to enable them to have enough granite to complete our job, (but we were going to install a farmhouse sink anyway). We met with them and they showed us how it would be laid out. We asked if they could change a few minor things on how it was laid out, and they willingly changed the

cut the granite for our layout both he and
positioned the seams such that most of the seam would fall under the wall of our existing appliance garages.

did an excellent job of laying out the seams such that they were not noticeable. When Pat, Mat, and
installed the granite, they did an excellent job of installing it. Where they had a seam, they expertly epoxied it together such that it was barely noticeable. Overall, everyone from this company did an excellent job. We are very pleased with the work that they performed.

Artificial (quartz) is cheaper, more uniform, has fewer voids to collect dirt, and is almost as abrasion and chip resistant.

Granite is more expensive, stains and collects dirt a little easier as a rule, and is slighly more chip resistant as a rule.

For durability, I would not rate one over the other - barring a 250 lb guy hopping up on it and cracking it, either is likely to outlive you. Selection is typically based on appearance - quartz tends to be more uniform looking and does not always do a good job of simulating the veining and variations that natural stone has.

?

Now some of the man made stone counters rival the real granite and othe stones without the maintainence of stone. There are many of them out there and it is more a choice of looks than anything else. Corian is still a strong choice of tops today and one advantage is it can be repaired when scratched on site. If you don't mind the maintainence you can't beat the looks of real stone though unless you need a few pieces to make up the top as the graining may be hard to match up. I am impressed though at how realistic some of the man made products have become. It is more an issue of what brand are available in your area. Most all are made the same way with crushed stone and basically an epoxy binder used to make the sheets.

BJ did an awesome job installing the granite on our new countertops. He returned all of my calls, answered all of my email questions, was always on time, and was very easy to work with. The countertops look great!

From the first conversation with
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
in Sales to the final installation with
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
, the entire process was handled professionally and we could not be happier.
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
listened to our wishes, explained various options and made good suggestions. We handled all demo our selves, then Ed came out and did a precision laser measurement and verified again all the choices we had made for edging, corner radius, etc. Took photos of the cabinets, made a video for the stone cutters to make sure everything was properly communicated. We then met up with
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
in the granite yard to pick out our slabs and decide on layout of the granite and orientation of variations in color. Install day was handled with great care and extreme attention to detail be

Great from beginning to end! Crystal provided a timely and complete estimate during the fabricator shopping phase. Once my wife and I decided to go with
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
,
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
came out to the house (on time) for measurements. After that we met with
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
at
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
fabricating shop and choose how we wanted the slab to be cut. This was really nice as I favored one corner of the slab. Finally
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
came out to the house (on time) for install and was done in just a couple hours. So far everything looks amazing! I think they spend a little more time/care in the shop fabricating/polishing then others would. The corners and edges are great! They also smooth the underside of the edges (something I would have never thought of but really appreciate it in the end product)! All this at a good price (comparing it to 6 other bids I got).

Working with
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
was an A+ experience from start to finish. I called
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
on a Thursday, had a quote by Saturday afternoon, and my new countertops were installed Tuesday. What I was expecting to pay around $1000 for,
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
did for $720. It wasn't a huge job, but there was a little bit of carpentry, a tricky window sill and a sink installation.
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
's work is meticulous and he is fantastic at what he does.

We had to drive from
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
to
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
to view slabs but the trip was well worth it. We were able to get counter tops with lots of movement for considerably less than we would have paid for a more generic slab. Everyone from the owner, to the salesperson to the installers were great to work with and the removal and installation went smoothly. I would highly recommend them.
If you do decide to go to their shop I suggest that you call in advance and get instructions (they are located behind a cabinet shop and not easy to find).

The company completing our remodel had hired them for the job. They were a little backed up and the job did take a little longer to start than we had expected. There were no troubles with the work. We are happy with the countertops.

We chose
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
more by default since they are Costco's current counter top provider. We had use Costco for counters in our last home, and all went well. Although it was a different company that provided the service, having Costco standing behind the service provider gives good peace of mind.
We called in last December to schedule the service and received a call back from the company a few days later. We got on their schedule for a certain day for the consultant to bring samples to our home. On the specified day, the consultant was late, and we finally received a call. Turns out, she had two calendars, and our appointment was showing on two different days in each calendar. When we confirmed it was supposed to be THAT day, she came right over.
We looked over several samples, including Corian and quartz (we had ruled our granite due to maintenance). We gravitated toward a quartz that looks just like Carerra marble. Ours was called Coarse Carerra. We picked that out, and we were also informed that because it was
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
Zodiak, there was a rebate of 10% in Costco Cash on the materials price!
We had to review and choose from several items that
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
could provide. I opted to do the demo myself and save about $324. I also opted to the install of the new faucet and disposer and save another $350. Finally, I opted to do my own backsplash demo and install and save about $800. Although
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
will remove a cooktop if you hire them to do demo, they will NOT reinstall one. Since I'd have to figure out how to reinstall our cooktop, I figured it was best for me to remove it as well. As I removed it, I saw that the old Corian counters were basically held in place by silicone, so they popped right off without a problem.
Templating was scheduled for January, and the template guy showed up with the fancy laser measurer and computer. It took about an hour but was an interesting process to watch.
A few weeks after that,
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
called to schedule the install. We got a Monday, which was great as I could use the Sunday before to remove the old counter.
On the day of, the installers arrived a bit late. It wasn't a big deal since I work from home, but they said 9 AM and arrived closer to 10. Nonetheless, it was a very professional and efficient crew. It was pouring down rain, and they were able to maneuver their small truck to our back garage for easier access. I was impressed with how efficient they were getting the two piece L-shaped section installed and joined, installing the undermount sink, and installing the island.
The cooktop cutout for the island had to be performed on site, but no one told me it would generate tons of dust. Thankfully, the install crew suggested they come back another day to do that cutout, which would give me time to hang plastic everywhere. I opted to go that route, and it was 2-3 days later that they came back to cut out for the cooktop.
I had been told they would show up at one time, and they were again about an hour late. It was to the point, that I was about to have to cancel a meeting I had scheduled when they showed up. Thankfully, they were very efficient with the cutout, did their best to keep the dust contained within the plastic area I had prepped, and vacuumed up what they could that escaped.
There were so efficient that I was able to keep my appointment, but I do have to give
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
a "ding" on punctuality. The only person in the process who was on time was the Template guy. Everyone else missed their appointment time. It's not a big deal since I work from home, but I do plan my day around whatever I have scheduled, so it is a tad of inconvenience.
I do think the crew's professionalism and quality of work stands out. The new counters look gorgeous. I would definitely use
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
again and I can recommend them. I do have to give them an overall grade of B though because of the punctuality issue. But assuming you can live with that, I would not hesitate to use them. Additionally, I felt having to leave a message to get them to come back out and cut out the cooktop and then waiting a day for someone to call back was a bit of a pain. The crew said that someone should automatically call me to schedule but then added it would be smart for ME to call. I am glad I did as I fear it would have just gotten lost in the shuffle.

We are very happy with our experience with these guys, everything went perfect from stage to stage, each day
North Dartmouth Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
checked in with us to let us know what was going on with the project and what we could be expecting, followed up asking us about our concerns, it felt good to know your taken care of. The crew was courteous of our home, made sure they cleaned after themselves. The project did take a little longer than expected due to a few custom pieces that needed to be ordered, but we did get better pricing through Doggers than what we were quoted so that was great, no complaints here.
