I work mainly one-on-one with people who want to decrease clutter, handle paper more efficiently, organize storage spaces, function better and feel better in their home. I do not use subcontractors, but on occasion I may offer to bring an additional independent Organizers or an assistant to help with larger, time-sensitive jobs. I work mainly in the metro Boston area but I'm not opposed to travelling farther.
Many times people considering hiring an Organizer feel anxious, embarrassed, and stressed out, but I try to keep our sessions relaxed and upbeat while keeping focused on the client's goals.
I charge for travel only for trips longer than 30 minutes. I generally work in 3 hour blocks of time, but will usually do 2 hours for people in Newton or towns abutting Newton. My rate is $60 per hour. I do a free initial phone consultation where we'll discuss your problem areas and goals, and create a plan of action for how to get started.
