Sample Antique Dealers Reviews

Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
& Liquidation was hired to handle a very large estate sale at my parents home. It was an enormous task, since the house was 2800 sq. ft., with every room filled with antiques and treasures my parents had collected during the 28+ years they lived in the home. It was a very emotional and difficult time for our family, and were touched by
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
's understanding and kindness.
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
and her staff did an EXCELLENT job organizing, staging and pricing every item. Due to the substantial amount of inventory, it was necessary for
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
to run the Estate Sale for three consecutive weekends. Each day, there were long lines of potential buyers, literally all the way down the street. It was amazing! At the end of the sale, there were very few items left, and our parent's home was left neat and clean, which was appreciated very much. I would HIGHLY recommend
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
to anyone who has lost a loved one, and is going through a very trying time.
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
, thank you all of your hard work, professionalism, understanding and kindness to our family, during a very emotional time for us. You are awesome!
"They waited for two months to pass and then cashed my check. I requested a copy of the cashed check from my bank with the endorsement and sent that and a copy of my credit card statement showing the charge. I asked for a $500 refund because this was paid twice.
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
Yader, owner, refused to refund my money. By the time I tried to have the charge reversed on my credit card, it was too late. My bank also would not do anything because I did not stop payment on the check. This is a dishonest business and should be avoided at all cost. This seller purposely defrauded me.
"Seller talked up sheets as being very high quality. Egypt. 800 thread count. When opened, they were so thin you could see thru them, a lot less quality than what was advertised. Seller took back, but was did not want to. Also looked at
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
cabinet that he said he would sell for $600.00. When we went back to look at again, they and increased the price on the sign. He asked me what the last price he offered was and when I told him he loudly denied it, even though two of use know it is true (four if you count sellers). Cabinet not even worth 600.00.
"r I think
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
and his team (including members of his family) did a very good job in terms of holding the sale. The tag sale was advertised in Newsday as well as on the web, and also with signs around the neighborhood.
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
and his team arrived an hour early and priced/marked all of the items as well as setting up for the sale. They set-up a checkout stand in the living room, with a big sign including the “rules of the sale.” They taped off bathrooms, closets, and other places we didn't want buyers to go into with yellow tape. At 9 am sharp we opened the doors.
The sale went well. There were a lot of people who came through the house, and most of the smaller items were sold during the six hour sales period. Unfortunately much of the larger furniture didn’t sell. The furniture was all in showroom condition, so my only concern would be that the furniture was priced too high. During the course of the day we started marking down the furniture, but much of it still didn't sell.
At the end of the sale I sat down with
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
and his mom, and they counted out the money collected. There was really very little control over the cash, but I believe they were completely honest throughout the sale. There was a minimum commission of $900 which is the equivalent to 30% of $3,000. If I hadn't sold the minimum,
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
would still collect $900. We did sell enough to get over the $3,000 minimum, and we split the money according to our agreement at the conclusion of the sale.
I can recommend

Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
and his team without hesitation, and would certainly use them again.

"Not well. Took two attempts via the moving company representative to get this person to come evaluation the damage on the
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
cabinet to see if it was worth being restored. He sent his estimate to the moving company and they approved having it restored.
An appointment was made to have D&D come pick up the
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
and take it to their shop to be fixed - that appointment was cancelled because they were overbooked - so a second appointment was made. That one for whatever reason (I'm not remembering was cancelled too) I ended up having to call them to reschedule! The next appointment was cancelled due to inclement weather (which is very understandable) however I was told they would call me the following Monday to reschedule - which never happened and I again had to call them. A new pick up date was scheduled, gets near the time and date for that pick up and I'm called and asked if I have anyone at the location to help load the
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
onto their truck??? I said 'no, and if I didn't I wouldn't allow them to because that is not our job" I was then told they would have to reschedule but yet again because they didn't have the manpower to get the
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
because is was, at this point (almost a month later) near the holiday and their employees were on vacation. I was again told they would call to reschedule after the holiday. Shocking (not) I had to call them again to get a pick up scheduled. The person who answered the phone set me a new date and within a few hours someone else was calling to say the female who set the appointment didn't know the schedule so they had to RESCHEDUL:E me AGAIN!!! Finally on January 3rd the
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
cabinet was picked up to be taken to be restored.
I was initially told it would take 5-7 business days to restore and that they would call me to schedule a return, that would have been January 14th - this date came and went and I heard nothing so I called January 16th only to be told that the damage to the cabinet was far worse than they anticipated and had they known how bad it was they would have charged the moving company more money but were stuck pricing wise with the bid they submitted. (Sorry, but that's not my issue) I was told it would take an additional 3-5 days and I would hear back about delivery. AGAIN that date passed with no call so I waited an additonal 2 business days and called them 8:00 a.m. CST Monday, January 27th and let a voice message. January 28th 9:00 a.m. I still had not heard back from them so I called again!
Thankfully someone answered the phone and I was told she walked into the warehouse and the
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
was lying in pieces on the floor and it looked like they were still working on it; when I mentioned it was to be completed last Thursday I was told the cold weather does delay the time and the amount of work that can be done on it. My reply was "Okay, I understand that is possibly true and don't have an issue with that - what I do have an issue with is no one keeping me informed and returning calls as I'm being told they would". I was asked for my email address so that they could send me updates that way - I gave it to them and did receive an email minutes later stating the same thing I was just verbally told over the phone. BUT at least they communicated :)
I am now being told once again that it will take an additional 5-7 working days to complete the
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
and they will call by the seventh day to set up a delivery...I guess time will tell.
In my opinion: Regardless of how their quality may be (which remains to be seen) this company has very poor communication skills and non satisfactory customer service. No one seems to care that any of this has happened or that I am not happy, which I have communicated verbally and in writing.
I HIGHLY recommend you look for another restoration company to meet your needs unless you want to do all the leg work and keep tabs on the progress and are not in a hurry for your item.
"They came to my house, gave me a free estimate after looking at my furniture (for the cost of refinishing), and we scheduled a date for their employees to come and pick the furniture up. They picked up the furniture, worked on it for a couple of months, and brought it right back to my house, and it looks amazing!
"An associate of the firm came out first to assess the condition of our sink and tub and to give a detailed estimate of labor, materials, and cost. Within several days, the owner of the business called to set up an appointment for early in the next week. This was somewhat surprising as we originally contacted them a couple of weeks before Christmas. Although we were interested in a pre-Christmas completion, we were not counting on it. Nevertheless, they came through. The job took two days with a brief visit on the third day for touchups. The bathroom was fully sealed off and vented through a window in an adjacent room. The results are beautiful; indeed, our tub and sink, originally purchased over two decades ago from

IronWorks in
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
, sandblasted and refinished there, look even better than they did when first restored. That's quite a feat, we think. The work was done quickly and efficiently. It was not "cheap" but not exhoribitant either and the work was well worth the price. A very good deal all around.
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
provided outstanding customer service! We purchase 4 antique refurbished lights for our 100 year home. Couldn’t be happier with the results and the attention to detail with Typhoon. A wonderful experience.

"On Nov. 3rd 2013, I purchased an artifact from the dealer. When I received the artifact, it appeared to be an obvious
fake. I sent it to a well known authenticator for evaluation, and he confirmed that the artifact was a reproduction.
When I contacted the seller, he was at first, very apologetic, and promised to either exchange the item or refund my
money. after following the sellers instructions and returning the item (which was signed for), The dealer has
refused to respond to repeated emails and messages
"I had hoped
Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
might buy some of my huge collection of Blenko colored glass items, but they were not quite as old as the antiques she likes to buy for resale. She also explained that her specialty in buying for resale is old porcelain. So she didn't buy any of my not-tremendously-old glass items. But

Middleboro Antique Dealers Provider Name Locked
polite and professional, so I could certainly recommend

that someone needing to sell very old antiques, especially porcelain, might give her a call.
