"The
looks great. We were contemplating getting new bedroom furniture but are happy in our decision to have our 1975 set refinished instead.
" was very pleasant to work with. Our only complaint was that the job took considerably longer than estimated and
was not always prompt in returning calls or e-mails within 48 hours as their website claims. However, we were satisfied with the results.

"He called ahead to let me know when he was on his way, quickly inspected t recliner to ascertain the problem, gave me a verbal estimate, and repaired the chair quickly and efficiently. The recliner now works fine.

"I originally purchased a Bid Deal to have furniture repaired. I took two chairs that were my grandmothers that were painted green. I had
and his crew remove" the paint (I had tried, but it wore me out). They successfully removed the paint and stained them to a stain color that I had picked out.

Furniture refinishing & repair

Many families have learned the hard way that antique furniture inherited from the grandparents can't be treated as roughly as modern furniture with its polyurethane finish. Here are tips on what you can do about older furniture that has become damaged. You can make some minor repairs yourself and furniture refinishing experts can work wonders.

I would call the manufacturer first.

They probably have a recommended serviceman list and/or replacement parts available.

That's an interesting concept, plus now you can buy all-new furniture at your new place. You can find ratings and reviews on local real estate agents on Angie's List. I would definitely finding a few agents who are familiar with that kind of listing, or alternatviely, you may want to consider an auction house to help sell off our furniture (which you can also find on Angie's List). Check out both servcies here www.AngiesList.com

If you use promo code ANSWERS, you'll get 20% off an annual membership. Good luck with your sale!

1) contact local furniture store that handles and repairs recliners. Frequently, even if they do not have the exact spring, they can come up with a pair that is close enough in length and stiffness that you can swap both and get satisfactory performance.

2) google your local barcalounger dealer - they might be able to get parts or keep a few common ones like springs in stock

3) write the company - Corporate Address: 400 W. Main Street, Suite 210 Morristown, TN 37814 It went bankrupt in 2010 and was bought by HPC3 Furniture Holdings - manufacturing in china now but distributing in US.

4) Google the phrase - barcalounger parts - there are a number of companies listing parts for sale, including springs

They walk on water!
This is likely the 5th or 6th time I've hired
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
to do work for me and they NEVER cease to amaze me with the quality of their work as well as their ever-present professionalism.
They say a picture is worth a 1,000 words. I'm sending a before and after photo of an armoire that they hand-painted for me. I can't stop admiring it.
SIMPLY INCREDIBLE!!

and his assistant were excellent fixing a Flex-steel recliner with some new parts that we had to order from the manufacture. We also had probably 5 or 6 other things thru out the house that he looked at and fixed. He was very patient with us and answered all our question while my wife and I traveled throughout the house looking for more things that he could fix. He spent as much time with us as necessary to answer all our questions. We highly recommend
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
to others and will use him again ourselves when the need arises.

.I booked an appointment with
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
weeks before my move to have them disassemble my
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
bed. I tried reaching the company the weekend before the monday move to reconfirm that they would be there. I had no return call and there was no answering service.
On Monday, they no showed, leaving me basically with a huge problem. Fortunately, I was able to get my maintenance men to remove the bed.
The one thing I will say positively is this: Mr.
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
did apologize and acknowledge his error, and agreed to be available by phone to answer questions from the maintenance guys who were removing the bed. We had to call him once and he was helpful. But I was extremely disappointed in being left with this bad situation, especially after booking so early. He needs to get an answering service

was very quick to come pick up antiques and bar furniture that were damaged due to water. They restored the pieces back to their original look, and some pieces even looked better. I was so pleased especially with the antiques that are irreplaceable and have been in the family for so long. I have several other antiques that I plan on having them restore. They are currently reupholstering two antique chairs and I know they will turn out just as nice.

I requested an estimate and
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
came to my house the Friday prior to Labor day. The job included the

/staining of a banister and a cabinet.
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
assured me that this was something his company could handle and that actually
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
needed work since things were slow, so he would return to the office, meet with
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
, and then send me an estimate within a few days. I pointed out this was Labor Day but he assured me that I would have an estimate over the weekend. After approximately 3 follow-up phone calls the following week, I finally received the estimate approximately 7-10 days after the initial visit. The original estimate was $7,000+ which is 700% higher than the estimate from 2 other companies (also on Angie's List). In addition, the address on the estimate was not my address so I believed that they had probably sent me an estimate for a different customer. When I was contacted to see if I had received the bid and had any questions, I questioned the address and price. I was told the address was a typo and the price was not a mistake. When I explained that this bid was 700% higher than 2 other companies, I was told they were craftsman and not painters. I explained that the 2 other companies were not painting companies but specialized in cabinet
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
and I had obtained their names from Angie's List. They agreed to revisit the estimate and a few days later, I received a 2nd estimate for $5,000 which was approximately 500% higher than the other 2 companies and after close inspection, both of their estimates only included the
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
/staining and the cabinet was omitted from the bid. I am not sure how much more I would have been charged for the cabinet! I notified this company that I would not spend any more time trying to determine why the significant price difference and that although I seldom submitted reviews for a company, I would definitely be sharing my experience on Angie's List. I would not recommend this company for several reasons including their inability to meet a timeline to provide a bid (which leads me to believe that the work probably wouldn't start on the target date if I had hired this company) and their cost. Who wants to pay 500% to 700% more than 2 other companies with excellent reviews?

They were the most professional people I have dealt with in a long time. They kept in constant contact with me, always answered my questions and never made me feel like I was a problem. They went above and beyond great customer service. My dining room set turned out absolutely beautiful!!! Even better then I had imagined it would. This belonged to my husbands parents and both are deceased, this has great sentimental value to us and the decision to let it be redone was difficult to make. They came and picked it up in Port Orange, found someone to reupholster the chairs and redelivered it to us. They were right on schedule and when I had mentioned my husbands siblings would be coming for a visit. they managed to get if finished and delivered ahead of schedule so that we had it when they got here. I would absolutely recommend
Merrimac Furniture Repair Shops Provider Name Locked
and if the need arises we will use them again, as a matter of fact I will only use them!
More owners should run their businesses this well!
