I should mention that I called
Was supposed to do a "comprehensive" sprinkler evaluation. After he left (I was unable to be there) I found a sprinkler watering the street (180 degrees off zone) and one not working as it should (barely putting out any water). One area with bushes and shrubs is not getting enough water and he did not recommend any changes to this zone.
He added a small sprinkler in a flower bed and I think he raised three more higher, can't tell.
Two of the heads that were replaced/adjusted to improve coverage actually made it worse. The technician was nice enough to leave the old heads so that I could replace them if I wanted. He also left a tool for me to make adjustments.
The drip line leaves the narrow strip almost bone dry. there are dime size damp areas where the holes in the line are. But it's not any better than when I had nothing there.
The added sprinkler line on the side of the house is working fine.
A & L left me with as many problems as I had before they came out.
The technician was late to the appointment but did call me ahead of time to let me know. Once there, I informed him that I had several zones that were not working. He informed me that if he had to do any work ahead of time that he would let me know and then he started to look everything over. About an hour and a half later he knocked on the door and told me that he completed what he could and that he would be leaving and that I'd need to schedule another appointment (waiting another week for the next service window). He then showed me the zones that he got to work and those he didn't. I was charged an additional $150 for an hour and half worth of labor. The labor charge also seems odd because that time also included time doing the tune-up. What did I actually pay for on Angie's List?
Later that night, I went to turn on the zones that were "fixed" and some didn't work. Additionally, several wires that were spliced were just left above ground and in an unfinished state. I understand that what was purchased was a system tune-up and that a profit needs to be made. I also understand that what was purchased did not include repairs. The problem I have is that a service visit should allow time to fix a customer's problem and/or providing an estimate and rescheduling the followup with the technician there. Instead, I was told to call and reschedule again without anything really being fixed. Let's face it, the reason why
In my opinion, they left me hanging after the tune-up without anything actually being fixed or a plan/estimate for fixing my issues.
