"Because we were having major work done on our house over the following few months, Meeko's training dwindled. I called
when the work" on the house was finally done and told her that we needed her to come back. She came back last week and went over everything again showing us exactly when to do and how to respond to different situations that arise. We have been working with Meeko as
suggested and she is doing MUCH better. There was no charge for this return visit.
gave us confidence and also let us know that she is always just a call or an email away. Because it has been so cold, walks have become limited so
suggested that she come back again in April and practice outdoor walking with her there. In just a few days, Meeko will wait by the door to go out and not try to leave until we say OK. She will sit and stay when the doorbell rings - although we need to keep training her to
jump up when we let people in the house. That said the difference is amazing.
is a wonderful trainer. She is kind and warm and understanding. And she LOVES dogs! I would recommend
to anyone who wants to have their dogs behavior improved - she's absolutely GREAT!

"I was a little skeptical having read about how hard
terriers are to train. But I decided to try their two week intense training. I dropped" my dog off every morning and picked him up at night. They also have day care there so their were lots of dogs for him to play with when notin training. After the first week my dog was really starting to listen and do what I asked. They provided a private lesson with me and my dog. By the end of the second week not only was my dog fully trained but he had all the skills to pass the canine good citizen test. I was both surprised and pleased on how much my dog learned in such a short time.

Dog Training reviews in Dartmouth

We rescued a small mixed breed dog in November. After getting her home, we realized that she had some serious problems. Hysterical screaming barking at other dogs and people. We could not get her to settle and be quiet. We had a difficult time trying to read when she wanted to go "outside". We were successful most of the time. We were in trouble with this dog and new it. This was not our first dog...we've had Rhodesian Ridgebacks and a Beagel in the past as puppies and no difficulty. I
searched for dog trainers on line in the Cleveland area...most were either just group classes or guys with military experience training dogs. Pat offered a lot of choices on her web site. Puppy Training, Rescue Training, Behavioral Training, Group Classes,
Pack Training, and Canine Good Citizen classes. We emailed Pat and explained to her the problems our rescue was having. She asked us to call her to see if she could fix our issues over the phone. That was a nice no charge offer. We talked and decided to have Pat come to the house for our training sessions. The first session was over two hours and put us and our rescue on the right track. The remaining lessons always lasted longer that the scheduled hour. Our rescue learned to quiet after we let someone in the door, learned to play with visitors dogs, learned to walk and ignore other dogs. Our rescue can sit, stay, down, come, and wait when we open a door and go out or in first. Most of all no issues with going "outside". She loudly lets us know when it is time. She paid attentiuon to Pat and has us trained very well. Our rescue is a love, will chase and fetch a ball all day, loves to cuddle and is a welcome member of the famiy thanks to Pat.

I have 2 very large mastiff mix dogs and one was fixed while the other wasn't (boy and girl) and they recently started having aggression issues in addition to basic dog behavior issues like barking and charging at the door. I scheduled an in-home training session with
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
after he was recommended by my vet when I went to him to discuss the behavior concerns. I was really skeptical about a 1 visit dog training session being able to work because mastiffs are known to be a stubborn breed of dog, and only 1 visit was unbelievable. While I won't say that their behavior does not need work still, after 2 weeks the changes in their behavior is so drastic and surprising it's nothing short of spectacular and I do not regret a single penny of what I paid for the service. In addition to showing me the proper techniques for dog training,
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
also gave suggestions on their dog food, exercise, and some additional products that he was not trying to sell me but thought would benefit us better than similar products we already owned. The only additional product he even tried to sell me was only because he could offer me a discount over what the price would have been at a pet store so it was more of doing his clients a favor than him trying to be a salesman. I have recommended them to everyone I know!

It went extremely well.
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
taught me and my husband how to behave like a pack leader in a way that makes sense to our dogs. We demonstrated a lot of the pack leader traits but it wasn't effectively communicated to our dogs by the way we were acting and it was sending mixed signals (which we didn't realize).
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
seems to genuinely care about our dogs and 3.5 hours went by quickly.
Since the training, our dogs behaviors changed noticeably and I am confident that as long as we act as pack leaders and instill the hierarchy to our dogs, they will continue to behave better. I would highly recommend it. $650 for two dogs was not a small investment but it was well worth every penny.

The quote was scheduled in the evening because we work day times , and
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
was on time, uniformed and professional and personable. He played with our dog while we talked. He asked us how we heard about his company and we were actually referred by a friend, the rescue organization, and our veterinarian . With 3 people telling us about this
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
fence company , and 2 of them had bad experiences with another dog fence company, we thought this company would be a great option. The installation and follow up lessons for training were also worked around our busy schedule. They were very easy to work with and took the time needed, never making us feel like they were in a rush. We will recommend them to everyone.

Love the personnel here.
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
, the owner, has a great sense of humor, and unlimited patience with dogs and people if they are truly dedicated to creating a better partnership with their dog.
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
does a great job instructing and training, and I value her input and opinion highly. The day care staff is patient and caring, and always have funny stories to tell me about how the day went with my dog, and I have seen them do likewise with other daycare clients. I understand the reasoning behind not allowing owners into the day care area. It can be disruptive to the dynamics of the day care with a "strangers" walking in and out.
I don't know how these 2 important facts get lost in the shuffle, but if you feel you dog has not completed a particular training class to you satisfaction, upon request,
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
allow you to repeat the class free of charge. Who else does that? Also, ANY potential client is encouraged to come watch any and all classes prior to signing up their pup. I find the best way to contact PNI is via email because I don't have to worry about catching someone at busy moment. I realized training my dog is not a "one shot deal and done". It is an ongoing commitment that happens every moment I share with my dog, and makes my day to day to living with them so much easier. Personally, I enjoy taking continuous classes at PNI. It is worth every penny, and both my dog and I enjoy the feedback, company and camaraderie. Come watch a few classes and draw your own conclusion.

Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend her. She has a very good understanding of dog behavior and presents as well-educated rather than having learned by the seat-of-her pants. She appreciates that each dog and breed is different and customized plans are the most helpful. She is respectful and realistic. She begins her sessions with a brief interview and fills out a form that she brings; she is clearly well-organized. She was always on time and also flexible with her schedule.

Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is great at helping me to correct mistakes that I make which is more often than I care to admit. But he is able to explain what I need to do to get my dog to respond to my commands and it's not through hurting the dog in any way-no shock collars or other inappropriate ways of correcting behavior.
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is helping me and he didn't start until my dog was already 8 years old. I think through
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
my dog has become a much better dog and I hope to have him registered as a service dog. Someday I would like to be able to walk him without a leash and
I think with his help it may happen.
I like the fact that
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
always comes directly to our house and conducts the training at our residence. He is very punctual and usually always a little early which I have gotten use to.
I often see people that walk their dogs and they have a hard time controlling their dogs. I think to myself that it's a shame they don't want to spend a little money to get someones help. They would enjoy their pets much more with even a little of
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
's expertise.

If you have an aggressive dog that needs to be trained to accept you as the alpha in the relationship,
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
is who you need. Our two rescue dogs went through "basic training" at
Dartmouth Pet Sitters Provider Name Locked
. Probably more importantly, they spent significant time teaching us how to continue and reinforce our dogs' training. It really works.
