Interior Painting reviews in Brookline

My husband and I were moving out of a home we lived in for 28 years and had an inordinate amount of old furniture, paint, hardware, glass, trash etc. in our enormous basement. I asked a friend if she knew anyone who might help us remove and clean out the entire area prior to putting our place on the
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
and she recommended
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
. What a treasure he is! Though the basement cleaning service is a new one
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
is offering, in addition to his successful painting business, he is experienced in myriad repair work around the house and was invaluable to us. First we needed a window sash fixed very quickly and
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
accommodated us in one day. Second, our basement was a true disaster area and within a week,
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
had removed everything and taken it away, leaving us with a remarkably clean basement. Third, we needed to get rid of several pieces of old, cumbersome furniture in our house and
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
managed to take the pieces apart to make them more easily removed, and carted them away. He also glued together a lovely wood desk we had in need of repair. He did all the aforementioned work within a week and for a total of roughly $1000, which was a real bargain. Moreover, he is an incredibly nice, trustworthy guy. I can't recommend him highly enough!

It did not work out to use them. I would rather not review this provider but the message asking me to is constantly appearing and while I asked the people who call from Angie's list to stop asking me to review this provider, they won't.

Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
was recommended by the person I hired to do the plastering (who did a great job), so I got in touch with him. He was very responsive in coming over to give me an estimate on the work. I liked him, and he was very professional. There was some initial delay in getting the work scheduled -- but it worked out well before too long (I think
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
is a small family company, and he does commercial projects as well; I caught him in the middle of one of his commercial projects. As soon as that was done, we easily set things up, and he came over right away). On the work itself,
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
and a helper arrived right on time, and got right to work. They did an excellent paint job (even coat, sharp lines, etc.) -- even painting a few things not part of the original estimate at no extra charge (some baseboards and a door surface) because, if they had been left unpainted, they would have looked old/dirty alongside the new contracted work.

Painters were clean (no collateral damage (splatters) whatsoever), and considerate. I felt very comfortable with him. I would highly recommend
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
, and would definitely hire him again.

Set up appointment to have estimate done, was running late, but called to inform me, and gave verbal quote at the time. Was detailed and courteous. Estimated 12x12 ft kitchen walls, white molding and ceiling at $750 including some patching and smoothing work required and old wooden and with glass built in cabinets. Adding in the painting of baseboards in dining room, livingroom and hallway (1100 sq ft condo) total cost $2600. He said it would be about a 3 – 3 ½ days job. Took my information and stated that I would get an emailed quote the following week. Never received written quote or call. Called the office # (781-332-2270) the following week and left voicemessage asking about quote, and asking about timeline of when I might be put on the schedule. Never received call back. Called a few weeks later to ask about doing work that was quoted and getting on schedule, someone did answer but was not in office and did not have my information available. I asked to get a call back ASAP when back in office and can look at my quote. I was very busy at work and could not afford to keep calling them and not knowing if it would be a wasted effort. He stated that if I didn’t hear from them to call the office in the next few days. I stated that I was not calling again hounding them to do the work, if I didn’t hear from them to schedule I would not be following up. He said he would call me back. Have not heard back from anyone since (3 weeks ago). I’m all done with this company and their lack of customer service and lack of follow through.

was fantastic. He initially gave me a proposal for my whole condo, but, when I decided to split the job into two parts, he cheerfully returned to do a second proposal. He and an assistant came on time every day, worked industriously, were considerate and helpful and even added a few touches they thought would improve the job.
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
was always in a good mood and was a pleasure to have around. I felt completely comfortable leaving the house when he and another painter were there. While I only needed indoor work done, I know he does exterior work. I plan to call him again as soon as I am ready to follow up with the rest of the job!

house cleaner was extremely nice and worked very hard _ came with own equipment _ overall good job

I got a "big deal" to paint one room for $99 from this provider. I needed to schedule it at a much later date from when I bought the deal, and the provider was an excellent communicator and scheduling was easy. The person sent to do the work,
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
, was extremely courteous, kind, and clearly very careful and respectful of the property. He did a fabulous job, and the room looks absolutely awesome! At some point through the process, the owner called me, because I had requested that
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
paint one strip of wall (separated by a crown molding) in a different color. I had completely forgotten that the coupon was limited to one color only, since so long had elapsed, and my plan had been to do one color until the weekend just before the painting, when the idea of a second color for that strip occurred to me. At that point, the work (second color) had already been done.
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
said he would have normally charged an extra $50 for it, but since the work was already done and it was clearly a misunderstanding, I was not charged anything extra. Overall, as I said, the room looks great, and I am very happy with the paint job and with the deal.

I realize this is a long review. If nothing else just read the last paragraph.
I contacted Extreme for a bathroom remodel estimate in November of 2013. I spoke to
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
, the owner, who was very helpful and responsive in getting me an estimate and my followup questions. I decided to work with Extreme to remodel my bathroom. We signed the contract in late November for work to start in late January of 2014. We decided to delay the start so there would be enough time to purchase all the supplies because I wanted a few items that had a 2-3 week lead time. Unfortunately as soon as
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
received my deposit he stopped being responsive. He often did not call me back or waited 4-5 days to return an email or phone call.
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
also told me that he worked closely with a tile supplier in Watertown and if I ordered with
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
I would get a 20% discount. So I choose some tile from that supplier and emailed the information to
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
5 weeks before our chosen start date. There was a 2-3 week lead time on the tile which I also communicated to
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
. Unfortunately he ignored my emails and I finally got in touch with him just 2 weeks before the scheduled start date. He had not ordered the tiles and told me he was immediately heading to the supplier to order them so they could be ready for the work. Unfortunately yet again he lied and the tile was not ordered until one week later. That was confirmed with the supplier. He also could not get me the 20% discount. When I spoke to the rep at the supplier he had never heard of the company and it appears that Extreme was just entered into their system a few days before. In addition to that
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
told me he could get me free paint samples to test out any colors I was interested in. When I asked for a few samples
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
told me the store no longer provided them and he could not get me any samples. I decided to back out of the contract because everything started to seem quite shady on
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
’s end. I asked for a refund of my deposit and
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
refuses to give it back. The contract stipulates that I am entitled to a full refund within 3 days of the specified date.
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
never filled in the date should I believe I should be entitled to the refund at any time before the work starts. I’ve called the Massachusetts office of consumer affairs and they agree with me and suggested I file a claim in small claims court which I will be doing.
Lastly I realized after signing the contract that
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
does NOT have the state required construction supervisor's license to perform this type of work. Even if the work is being performed by licensed plumbers and electricians the general contractor needs to have a CSL as he is overseeing the project.

The painters from
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
arrived on time. The listed "Big Deal" was for 2 painters for 4 hours each or 1 painter for 8 hours. Because they had another job as well, one painter remained and set up right away to paint.
In short, he was professional and worked consistently, only taking a few breaks during the day. He asked ahead of time in areas where there was furniture near by and took extra care. Also, he listened to any suggestions or requests I had during the day.
I really appreciated the job done and I would recommend them to anyone who needs a paint job done.
- Hari M.

From the initial contact to the final day of the project,
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
and his crew had been professional, service-oriented, and easy to work with! They spent a good amount of time doing the preparation, did a refined job painting and fixing defects on the walls, addressed all my concerns, and cleaned up the condo thoroughly after the project was completed. I was very satisfied with their service and the final result. Three months have passed. No new cracks or defects have emerged. Everything looks as if they’d just been freshly painted. I highly recommend
Brookline Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
and his team for those looking for quality painters, and will hire them again for future projects.
