"It went great! You want all the details? Better call
, they took care of all the detsils, from NEM application to closed of permits. It was" a smooth transaction, worry free and best, they will work and accomodate your wish, especially if you have concerns with roof penetration and asthetic look and
out of pvc pipes. I have the neatest non-noticeable PV system installation in the neighboorhood.

-Greg R.

"Installers called when they were on the way. Arrived as scheduled and began work immediately. They had two installers on the roof installing the brackets, solar" panels, and plumbing. They were very careful to make sure to find the roof trusses to fasten the brackets to so they would be very secure and there would be not leaks. As well, mastic was used to seal carefully around the lag bolts. All roof plumbing is black to maximize the solar impact, and provide a very neat, clean installation. While the roof panel installation was going on, there was a separate installer working on the connections to the pool plumbing. Every piece was carefully laid out and fitted. A level was used to make sure all vertical plumbing was truly straight, as well as all horizontal plumbing was level. He even used the level to make sure all of the valves were perfect! The wiring for the automatic valve and digital controls was done extremely neatly and is unobtrusive as possible. The entire system was checked carefully to make sure there were no leaks anywhere. The installers went over the controls and explained all of the valves carefully. All parts of the system are carefully labelled. This was an extremely professional installation and every visible piece makes that totally apparent. We couldn't be happier with our choice of
for the solar heating system.

Are you talking about powering your home solely on solar (i.e. no back up power source or off grid).

The power, once convered from DC to AC via the inverter, is suitable for use by the home.

Most solar application are in supplement to the current powering of the home and will spin the meter back in the day but are not the primary.

OK - that should strike Atlantic Plumbing off your vendor list !

You say female pipe to copper pipe connection - I hope you are not saying they connected copper directly to galvanized or black iron pipe. If so, there should have been a dielectric union put in there to prevent corrosion, which could be part of your problem.

Also, generally a bad idea to use teflon tape for hot water tank connections - too much thermal cycling, loosens it up over time. Should use plumbers dope for that application.

It sounds to me like a connection problem - if the tank itself was leaking it should be flooding the top of the tank or more likely running down through the insulation and dripping out the bottom.

Unless you are a do it yourselfer, sounds like you need to find a new plumber with good reviews and rating in your area - Search the List (in green banner bar). This should be an easy fix - should have him put in dielectric couplings (about $5-10 each depending on pipe size) if current connection is iron to copper, and even if not, have him redo connection not only for cold but also hot water - if one was done poorly, probably both were.

Solar Panel Installation reviews in Brighton

This has been a very bad experience and I now wish I chose another company to do the work. They're already several months late on the delivery, and last time they responded, expected date is 2+ months out. They took 50% payment 3 months ago ($21000) and have become completely unresponsive.
I spoke to
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
at the time of my signing, as I had concerns with their highly-negative yelp reviews. I was assured that those were corner cases and that installs almost never run late, and the payments are taken incrementally to pay for hardware, then installation, and final payments on approval.
I've been paying interest on this since June, and last I heard, my panels should be in sometime in October with installation another month out. The worst part? Not even so much as an email or a phone call after they took my cash.
- Brook B.

I contacted
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
in late 2014, along with two other solar contractors, to provide quotes for installing solar panels on my home. The quote from
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
was slightly less per watt than the other quotes I received, and
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
also took the time to answer my extensive and sometimes technical questions....More /> After the contract was signed,
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
found a different option which had not been available before and would make us eligible for additional solar incentives. These new incentives will save us a considerable amount of money over the life of the solar panels. We eventually installed 16 410W panels manufactured by TenK, making us eligible for the Made in Minnesota solar incentive.
Our installation was delayed a couple months by problems getting the solar panels from the manufacturer, but the
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
team worked aggressively to try to get our panels as quickly as possible. The installation itself was performed quickly and with no drama, and our solar installation has been performing better than expected.

Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
was quick to respond to my message, we set an appointment for an estimate. I was happy with the price so set an appointment for installation of a solar fan. He installed the fan and it has made a big difference in the comfort level of the house.
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
worked quickly and was careful about not leaving a mess. We have had several hard, pounding rains since the installation and have not had a leak. He knows what he's doing!
- Margaret D.

Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
was fantastic. They arrived on schedule and finished on schedule. They were totally responsive to all my questions and the staff were friendly and were precise in their installation. Both CEOs of the company came to my house to explain all facets of my system. This included the Fed and State rebate systems. It was seamless installation and I could not be happier. I have and would recommend this company for your solar needs.

We are installing a solar system at our home. I initially used Angie's List to select prospective bidders, and chose 3 to present bids.
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
was the third.
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
showed up promptly at the agreed upon time, but that is the only category I can give acceptable
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
to. The presentation was extremely thin, there was uncertainty on his part as to the number of panels he was quoting, he never discussed the electronics (inverter, my existing fuse panel, locations of panels/equipment, etc). He spent more time telling me how much he liked East
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
. He also insisted that I could get a tax credit for 30% of the cost of my new asphalt roof just because I was also installing a solar system. Absolutely false. I was not impressed.
The kicker came the next day when I emailed
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
to thank him for his time, however we had narrowed our selection to the 2 other vendors. Even after that I received 4 more emails from him. I had previously sent an email directly to
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
informing them of my opinion of the bid process, so they are certainly aware. If my experience is representative of
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
, I fail to see how they have received so many glowing reviews.

Installation of solar panels began on
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
10, 2015 and was completed professionally in 2.5 days. It appears to have been done well. Unfortunately, to date (7 weeks), there has not been any further follow-up as to when it will be inspected by the town and local electric company so that it can be turned on. Meanwhile, the best time to save on solar energy (summer months) is nearly over. The entire process began in the fall of 2014 and to my disappointment, there have been other extended periods where the company has not initiated contact with the customer until it was time for the next step. This lack of contact includes telephone, email, snail mail, text and computer generated. When I have called them in frustration, they have been very responsive and solicitous. However, the major decision and major expense of installing solar energy creates consumer anxiety for me, especially with all the promises of how much money you will save. The lack of contact and handholding in any format during these gaps, even to say things are in process or I haven't been forgotten, is disturbing to me. I have expressed my dismay over these gaps several times. Of course, whomever I speak to says they understand and will pass my concerns over what I view as poor customer service on. Yet, nothing seems to change. Also, there is no point person identified for me to contact. First, there was a salesperson, then a designer, then someone else and so on. The process would be much better if one employee was the "go to" person throughout the process. Due to these delays and frustrations, I am unable to comment as to whether
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
is a cost effective, responsible solar energy resource. They certainly need to learn something about customer service.
It will be interesting to see how
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
responds to this posting. It's too bad it came to this.

Sales process was great, but the communication afterwards was absolutely pitiful. There were a few follow-up emails and then everything went to pot. I had Y.E.S. do Solar panels, service panel upgrade, whole house fan, solar attic fans and radiant
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
. No one ever explained to me that some of these tasks were going to sub-contractors. So when people started calling to schedule appointments, it was awhile before I realized I was talking to different companies. The first appointment for the installation of the fans was scheduled for a Monday, and then they called and said they couldn’t do Monday but they could do that Sunday, so I left a voicemail saying that would be fine. I came back from vacation early to be there for the Sunday install and no one showed up. I had another appointment for a solar panels for that Tuesday, come Tuesday no-one ever showed up for that. Turns out these were all miscommunications. So, now I’m furious. Everyone I’ve talked to has been accommodating and apologetic, I was told the CEO would call me and try to make things right. I also asked questions and learned how the whole process was going to work, which parts of the job subcontractors were working on and how the whole service panel upgrade would work between the electrician, the city and PG&E. There should have been one project manager who explained all this to me from the beginning. Later I get an email from another employee saying she has notes in the file to make sure I am notified of all scheduling activities. A week later I replied to that email, asking if there were any updates to my scheduling. No response. The following morning my power goes off. I go outside and see the PG&E guy and an electrician. I asked them if this was a scheduled outage, they said yes. I asked them if it was an outage for my service panel upgrade, they said yes. SO, my service panel upgrade, which ended up being nearly a 7 hour power outage thanks to the city inspector. Was scheduled and I was never informed. NOT a happy camper. I called and complained again. A day or so later I did get a call from someone higher up in the company, who offered to upgrade my solar panels at no additional cost. This was a decent attempt to placate me, but I declined because what they were offering was from a different manufacturer, and I had been sold on the panels I chose because they were designed better, and was told they had better output. My solar install was scheduled for 2 days. The first day went without a hitch. The second day, the guys ran some wire and then waited for word on the solar panels. Turns out my panels and some other equipment got sent to the wrong location. So the rest of that install will need to be rescheduled. The next day my whole house fan, radiant
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
, and attic fan installation was scheduled. When the contractor shows up I find out he doesn’t install radiant
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
and isn’t sure why that was on his list. Then he comes back from a trip to my attic and tells me the fan I was sold will not fit because of the way my attic is designed. As I am writing this review, my installations have not been completed. Anyone I talk to at this company is nice enough, but all of these screw ups and poor communication is absolutely unbelievable. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong. This just is my experience and maybe I’m that one super unlucky customer, but considering all that has gone wrong so far, I cannot recommend this company. It’s just not worth the headaches. If it is possible I will update this review after everything is completed. There’s still time for them to make me a happier customer.

I didn't want the numerous discounted electric bill programs many vendors are offering. I wanted to own outright and have install panels.
Brighton Solar Panel Companies Provider Name Locked
guided the entire process thru all the registration and permitting process to completion. I am now receiving my own SREC distributions and have a zero monthly electric bill , in fact I assign my excess to my Mother's account and her bill is now zero.
I expect to have the entire system paid off within 4 1/2 to 5 years with Federal and state solar credits, SREC distribution and no electric bill plus I provide free electricity for Mom.
