They came the first day I called them. Great communication, very efficient and even worked over the weekend to complete the job. Would highly recommend them. I was worried they couldn't complete the work because it was raining. They watched the weather and were there very early in the morning to complete the job in plenty of time for it to dry before it rained.

I expected an engineer's report with specific items listed to be corrected. This man did not give me a detailed report on foundation inspection; it was based on visual observation only; he didn't use any equipment, took no measurements (customary with foundation inspection, I later learned). He wrote his recommendations from just walking around and "eyeballing" the house. His report described conditions that were obvious, listed the history of my foundation work- that I gave him, with a few general recommendations.
It was not worth the $600 he charged and is of no use to me.

He viewed cracks and explained possible causes. I'm not mechanically inclined, yet he was able to explain so that I was able to understand. He then emailed me instructions for contractors, including drawings.

All but one of the items on my home inspection were waived, thanks to Mr.

's thorough structural report. If I had to get the work performed, I would have definitely used them. For the one item that required work, Mr.
Arlington Structural Engineers Provider Name Locked
's honest opinion of who should perform the work, again saved me money. Thank you for your honestly!

Other structural engineers on Angie's List will quote a lower price for visiting the site, then offer a written report at additional cost. But RESolutions bundles those together and charges a minimum $475. Since they specialize in residential work and seem quite competent, I went with them. They required me to sign a contract before coming and to pay by check at the end of the visit. They guarantee an evaluation of at least one hour with a written report.

stayed for only 45 minutes but did excellent work with definitive recommendations. He said we would get the written report in four days. It has now been eleven days, and no report. I have e-mailed them and called twice, getting an answering machine, but no personal response.

Arlington Structural Engineers Provider Name Locked
provided a verbal analysis on the spot which he followed up with a very detailed, easy to understand, written report by email, which is preferable to a hard copy. He ultimately recommended we have some tree roots cut, a root

put in, and have our home inspected for leaks because of our old cast iron drainage plumbing. Oh. And grow some grass on the lawn where there now is none by the house.
The leak inspection recommendation never even occurred to me and I was unfamiliar with the root-thing until I read information on his web page. I knew that roots could be a problem, but I thought the only option was tree murder, and that made me sad. The prospect of a root
Arlington Structural Engineers Provider Name Locked
makes me happy.
The water spots remain of uncertain origin, but he referred us to a leak specialist to have the house inspected for drainage leaks. He did suggest, because of the furrowing in some fiberglass insulation, that the spots might originate from animals in the attic, which is an unsettling prospect. There is no smell and we don't hear anything up there, but we haven't ruled it out. I thought it was worse after the rain, but maybe I only looked after rain. Most importantly to me, though: he confirmed that the spots were moisture and not just residual stains from previous problems. For that I am grateful. I will pursue their remedy until it is found. On this I am unanimous.
I thank the universe that I discovered structural engineers before a foundation company got a'hold of me and that I discovered

shortly after that.

Arlington Structural Engineers Provider Name Locked
is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about everything about a home/building. He was the only one I called for all my contractors that investigated and found the source of my water intrusion. He was able to take mold samples, take pictures etc. Because of him, my home insurance finally beleived there was a problem and paid for remediation.
Arlington Structural Engineers Provider Name Locked
does not do remediation but he inspected the company who did it.
Arlington Structural Engineers Provider Name Locked
is picky and wants things done right. He is the right guy to make sure the job is done right.
