"Their on-line appointment system is great, and I was able to get an appointment on the day I needed. Following my exam, I found new sunglasses at their store, but" when I
to pick them up, the prescription was wrong. My prescription had changed quite a bit, so they encouraged me to give it a couple of days. It turns out a typo had been made, and the wrong prescription was put in. They fixed the problem, and were apologetic. I still had trouble with the new real prescription, and I ended up going back twice to be re-evaluated. This was MY issue, not an issue with the quality of their work/service. They re-tested and tweaked my prescription both times and put new lenses in both times. (Part of their 30-day guarantee.) I appreciate their patience. The only drawback on this location (
) is they don't have a huge selection of frames.

"I go here for pretty much all of my health needs. Everyone who works here is board certified or eligible. They have numerous locations which is great for convenience." They are associated with the hospital next door, if you have any issues at all, like a CT scan, they just pick up the phone and make the arrangements. They are flexible with scheduling, can get a scheduled appointment in a day. They realize you have a life and meet you where you are. My doctor saves 1:00pm to 1:30pm appointment every day for a walk-in!

Abington Diagnostic Test Labs Provider Name Locked
is a large corporation with numerous offices throughout Northern Virginia. My experience with the office in
Abington Diagnostic Test Labs Provider Name Locked
was not good. On May 16, 2014, my physician told me to go to Quest for a routine blood test. I am 74 years old and on Medicare and Tricare for Life (Medicare supplement). Quest did the test and then billed me for $739.46. I was stunned. The invoice was overprinted with a remark that Medicare had deemed the test unnecessary and that I had signed a statement that I would have full financial responsibility if Medicare denied the claim (doubtful). So be careful:
1. Determine up front what the charges will be. Do not wait for an invoice.
2. If you have Medicare or other health insurance, do not sign a statement accepting financial responsibility.
3. Ask if Quest sends a referral fee to physicians who send them patients.
4. If you are a disabled veteran, skip Quest and go to a VA hospital or clinic (no charge for lab work).

The lady at the front desk did not seem happy to be at work. She then took me inside to draw blood but there's no place to hang our coats, so I had to hang it on a partition. I had my left sleeve rolled up and ready to go. Then she looked at me and asked, "which arm?" Maybe she needs glasses. I lifted my left arm to show her.
She did do a good job drawing blood.
Then I went into the bathroom to give a urine sample. Afterwards, I looked for soap to wash my hands but there was none. I opened the door, handed the sample to the tech. Saw a dispenser that looked like hand sanitizer or soap, so I got some when the other tech declared, "that's soap." I said, "okay, can I take it in the bathroom?" And she repeated, "no, that's soap!" So I got some soap on my hands and went into the bathroom to wash.
These two jokers are like dumb and dumber. Why isn't the soap in the bathroom? If there's a reason why they want it outside, please explain it to the clients! I will never go back to this nut house. I have been here before but it was not a bad experience. These two techs need some proper training in inter-personal communication and customer relations.

The first time I went to this location I was sent for a blood panel prescribed by my primary for a routine physical. I give an A for bedside manner, because the girl who took my blood was excellent. That was the only good thing about this place. My blood screen indicated that I needed further tests for my cortisol levels. I was sent by my endocrinologist to pick up a specimen collection kit. I was given the kit at this Quest location. I followed the instructions, stayed up until midnight to take the

specimen, returned the kit this morning. The girl behind the counter logged in my specimen and was about to send me on my way. The girl next to her told her she put the wrong code on my paperwork for cortisol. Then she said the doctor's office gave me the wrong test kit. I told her that I picked up the test kit here and that QUEST gave me the wrong kit. They then said I would need to do the test over again, gave me a plastic tube that was not enclosed in a sterile pack -- just a plain plastic tube. They printed out the directions for the new test. I left and started reading the directions, only to find out that they cut off midway. I had to go back again to get the directions completely printed. Besides all of this, the office is filled with HIPAA violations. Patients' info is sitting out for anyone to see. They are very disorganized, and additionally, all 3 times I have been in there -- the front office is very rude, not only to me, but to everyone. Cold, rude and unfriendly, as if its their job to be that way. Calling my endocrinologist now to let them know this Quest accused them of giving me the wrong test kit, when in fact, it was their own mistake. Beware of this place!

The visit went fine. There was no wait. I gave them the paperwork from my doctor and they promptly took me back and

my blood. They never asked for my insurance which became a real problem.
I started getting bills from CPL Labs for $556.50. Normally with my insurance, blood work for a physical is no charge when they apply my insurance. I called the number on the bill but they only answered with a computer and encouraged me to go to their web site which I did and entered my insurance information. That was about sixty days ago. It was relatively easy to do on the web and I thought it was taken care of.
A month later, I get another bill for $556.50. I call my Doctor's office for the second time. They give me a different number to call, 940-383-5200. I called that number on 9/23/14 and spoke with

. She took my insurance information again and said she would put it in. She said it would take a couple weeks.
Today, 10-17-14, I received a computerized call from CPL @ 512-646-3849 saying it was urgent to pay my bill. I took the option to speak to a person and a nice lady came on after a couple minutes. She has my insurance information in her computer and said she would apply it to the bill herself. I told her if this failed again and it went on my credit report, I would file suit against CPL. She said she fully understood.

The first time I went it did not impress me too much, but the next time they seemed to be more organized. They are not covered by my health insurance, but it is much cheaper than the same services at the hospital. It is actually run by some doctors in the hospital. They do various blood tests, electrocardiograms and things like that. They do ultrasounds of the aortic artery and things like that; the things that most people forget to do. I got the impression that the tests I took were worth it because it was not really terribly expensive. I think having tests done there is worth it because they might find something that has been missed. It is not covered by Medicare and they offer the testing at various places in my area. They don't have an office, they just rent places.

It went well. I would suggest anyone having a colonoscopy use the substance requiring less liquid. I had a billing issue as the procedure was billed diagnostic, not preventative. (Preventative has no co-pay.) I had to make five phone calls to resolve the situation.
