"The sliding glass door was in a tight location and required that he remove the door from a side angle rather than the typical "up and out" method. He did" so and completed the job within 45 minutes. He also was very careful to clean up after his work was complete, including vacuuming up any stray materials. Very competent and very professional.

-Robert S.

"My house is hundred years old and there were some structural issues that he had to correct. The job took almost two days. He showed up when he said he would. I talked" to a lot of contractors about this job. Most of them wasted my time by never following up with me.
came out, looked at the job, and provided me with a reasonable quote. He showed up on time to appointments and kept in great communication with me. Everything went great.

Angie's Answers

Hello - I hope my answer will help point you in the right direction.

The reason you're having a hard time getting clear information is because there are hundreds of companies saying their window is the best. There are probably millions of different features you can choose to have for your windows and in price ranges from $169-$1200 (per double-hung window).

I've been in the business for 15 years and have seen many different window products from many different dealers and manufacturers. This all comes down to: "what's important for you and your home?" If you want a strong warranty from a company who has a full-time service department to give you piece of mind and service your windows should needs be, or are you looking at only those companies who offer true wood interior windows that you can paint or stain to match the home decor? Whatever is your hot-button, then that's where you want to start.

I would recommend you first choose how you want your new windows to look. Wood-interior with vinyl clad is only offered by certain companies, while there is a vinyl woodgrain finish to give you similar results without the maintenance. If you're only looking for a white interior and don't want the maintenance, a fiberglass or vinyl window would be the best choice from what is offered in the market today (vinyl will be less expensive - not necessarily cheaper quality). If you are going to change out a window to a french door and a door to a window, then you WILL NEED to find a contractor with some carpentry experience. Some companies will tell you upfront that they do not handle those sorts of remodeling projects due to the complexity and time it would take to get it complete.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to personally help you with your project as we work in the New England Area. However, if you wish to talk further, please feel free to email me at: sven@ritewindow.com and I'll be happy to let you know our prices for what we offer so you can compare and hopefully find a similar company to do the work for you near the Austin area.

Get your roofer back out there.  Course of shingles above the window need to be pulled, self sealing flashing, drip caps, and counter and step flashing are going to be required here.

This is a flashing issue as the window connects to the mansard roof surface.

Condensation and a leak are two different and very noticeably different (i.e. volume) things.

Flashing and roofing on Mansards can be tricky but is sounds very much like a roofing issue.

Much easier to scratch and typically not as good a finished quality as compared to glass.

Benefits are the resistance to breakage as mentioned by LCD.  Any glazing shop should be able to re-create that panel.

For a broken window (or leaking seal in multi-pane unit), for a standard roughly 2x3 foot window, can run from low of about $75-125 for single pane to more like $200-300 range for triple pane, depending on construction and any special ultraviolet or heat reflective coatings. If a removeable window unit, of course cheaper to remove it and take to replacement glass place then have them come out, measure glass size, order glass unit, then come back to install.

If taking in yourself, commonly they can do single-pane in an hour or two, but count on a week or so typically for sealed double or triple pane unit to come in, so you will have to seal the opening in the interim. That is an advantage of having them come out - they measure and determine type of unit on first visit and can seal with tape and plastic sheeting (if you have not already done that), then come back with new unit and install a week or two down the road - but you are not stuck with an opening in the wall for a long time.

Door Installation reviews in Leesville

Everything was fantastic. Well, basically, what I want I got. It wasn't like some of these other people that came because we were looking to remodel our house and they were giving their ideas not our ideas. These guys went hand in hand what I want I got, period. It wasn't where, we had this other guy where he says no, you should do this and move that and blah, blah, blah. That's not what we wanted to do.
I would use them again. We are probably going to use them again because the only thing that didn't get done was the main bathroom.
- Joseph D.

From the selection to the finished product, it was wonderful. They were meticulous in everything. It took only two hours. It was very cold that day and they worked very hard. They were very courteous and respectful in all manners of workmanship, to my home, and to myself.

He did a good job. We're happy with him. He did honest, hard work. He is timely and reliable. He does quality work. I have no complaints about the nature of his work.

I chose
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
company initially based on Angie's List reviews. Other garage door companies I had received fliers/coupons in the mail for had some reviews of pushy salesman. I found the
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
company easy to do business with and no gimmicks. I called on a Friday night when our garage door wouldn't function. This garage door motor had issues for the past 12 months however I was holding off replacing it until absolutely needed. The
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
company had someone out to our house the next night.
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
was our technician and we were his last stop for the evening around 8pm. Even though it was past 8pm and 10 degrees outside
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
was very professional and helpful. After diagnosing our current garage door as 19 years old and on the
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
, we scheduled a time to have a new garage door motor/opener installed the following Saturday. I want to point out that it was offered to do the work sooner, however we had to work around my family's busy schedule and my work schedule. I would definitely recommend
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
company to others.

Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
arrived same day and worked for over 3 hours on my door that was very hard to open and close. With great difficulty he was able to remove the door from the very very tight track, clean it and then replace the rollers with new ones The door now opens and closes very smoothly! Thank you Bill. Nice Friendly man and I would hire him and recommend his service to anyone.

Summary: From the estimate to the final walk through Certified Windows was professional at the highest level.
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
takes great pride in performing quality workmanship and ensures that it gets done to his standards. Realistically you can expect some minor damage to interior drywall when the old windows are removed. You can be assured that
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
will have it repaired perfectly. His painter took a chip of dry all to the local

and matched the paint. Texturing and paint turned out great. There was some challenges with the installation of the patio doors. The worker could not get them to close just right, but
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
came out and worked a half day to make sure they were correctly installed and close properly. We did a very detailed walk through on ALL 30 windows and doors. The team always arrived by 8am each day and
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
was very responsive to all questions and calls.
The following is an email I sent to them:

Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
: I just wanted to take the time to again tell you how pleased I am that I found your company to install my replacement windows. When I started to research for replacement windows I never thought it could get so involved. I’m the type of person that really digs into the quality of the product and I learned a lot about energy efficient windows. As I worked my way through all the data and information about windows and frames it became very apparent that the company doing the installation has a tremendous impact on the performance of the window. After having a very negative experience with another contractor doing other remodeling for me I was very skeptical going into this window replacement project. Thank goodness I found your company. From the beginning sales call and estimate (with
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
) through installation of 30 windows (under
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
’s expertise) this has been a great experience. Your attention to detail and quality workmanship is outstanding. You clearly answered all of my questions. Your company was honest, timely every day and provided quality work. I’m very happy with the windows quality and appearance. Thanks again and I can confidently recommend Certifies Windows and Doors.

I would highly recommend
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
and his staff. For his first visit to address the roof leak,
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
showed up in a blizzard on Valentine's Day evening. He and his crew worked for two hours at a total cost of $400, which is very reasonable for a professional licensed & insured roofer. I'd add that he was available for the emergency when others we called on Angie's list were booked out. Our condo association was so impressed with the work, his professionalism, knowledge, and good cheer, we hired him the following weekend to clear the snow and ice on the rest of the roof which is about 1000 sq ft. Again the price very fair for the amount of work involved. During last month's blizzards I recommended the company to two work colleagues, who hired
Leesville Door Installers Provider Name Locked
and were also pleased with his work and rates.
