"When we dropped our car off both the navigation and storage compartment were working as expected. When we picked the car up the navigation screen would no longer open and the storage compartment latch was broken.
We are certain that both items were fine when we dropped the car off. A service technician had called us to let us know the radio wasn't ...more working. This was a known issue as the amp had been removed and I was looking for a replacement part. The navigation screen opens when operating the radio and we believe it was manually closed instead of using the proper button. As a result it appears this has broken open/close mechanism for the navigation screen.
I had opened the storage compartment when we dropped the car off to retrieve my sunglasses. At that time it was fine. When we picked it back up and I went to open the storage compartment to put my sunglasses back in, I found the latch was broken.
When these issues were addressed with the manager, my wife was told the car is old and these are things that break on this age of car. We emailed the customer satisfaction email about a month ago and haven't received any response.

I am writing this letter to you to express my thoughts of the service provided on my
mother's Ford Taurus, on 6/24/14. You replaced the starter and billed her $499.96.
The original estimate was $168.79. Quite a difference from what was charged.
Take away the tow of $63 (and that is quite high for a 2 mile tow), and tax of $26.52,
that comes to $410.44. Without the 10% discount, that figure would have been
$459.15. For a starter?
It appears you took advantage of an 85 year old loyal customer. For the re-
-887RM you charged $267.68. A new one at
Ford is $212.45, a
$53.23 difference, or what I would call a bit of a price gauge. At Auto Zone the top
of the line Duralast starter was $161.99. Advance Auto also had fairly priced models.
Remember, this is a 13 year old car with a Blue Book value of roughly $2,300. If you
were looking out for your customers, advising them of a less expensive option would
have been reasonable.
The $85 "pin point," out of line. I knew it was the starter, and so did you. Connecting
a couple of clips to the engine and flipping a switch was free money for you without
question. When I mentioned this to my friends, they could only shake their heads in
disbelief, over $400 for a starter. I guess word of mouth advertising can go a long way.
In closing, you are a very pleasant man to talk with. But it now appears with this way
out of line pricing... maybe not so much.
I do not know what you and my mother discussed prior to the installation but I do feel
compelled to let you know my thoughts on the situation.
