"I called numerous times to inquire regarding their $20 special on lawn evaluations, weeks later still no response. I was just curious why the charge for a lawn evaluation" when their profile states free estimates.. What if I called just wanting a free estimate on lawn care would I not receive a consultation of some sort.. sounds like a HUGE rip off to me, after gaining no response I contacted another company that provided the service for free, I felt lucky for NOT purchasing.

-jackie G.

was quickly responsive to my telephone request. He gave a prompt, free estimate, explaining what he would do and
" inexpensive solutions to the landscape problem. I was under time pressure to complete the project before we had a big party in the home.
was considerate and responsive. He showed up on time, finished quickly, cleaned up thoroughly and provided excellent workmanship. Best of all, he was such a nice guy to work with, that I invited him back when all the plants and the water feature were installed to see the finished garden.

How to Get Rid of Springtails

One of the most effective ways to control springtails is to dry out the infested area. Springtails require a high-moisture environment to breed and thrive, living mostly off of algaes that grow in moist conditions. They will either leave the infested area or die out. If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product.  DO NOT APPLY UNTIL AREAS ARE DRY.  If area will not dry naturally, use Corn Starch to soak-up any lingering moisture and otherwise 'steer' any rain water or irrigation away from area.

Also, if there is a noticed springtail infestation around the perimeter of the structure, use the insecticide to do a barrier treatment and apply corn starch to reduce or eliminate moisture. Caulk and seal all cracks and crevices and inspect potted plants before they are brought into the house.

I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) - NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string      "Tall Fescue Control" - there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services.

There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this - it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators - pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway.

Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that.

one guy came in, went into my attic, came back with one photo of a bare spot in one room. A few days later the work crew came in and blew in the insulation. It took a while, but they were in and out in about 1 1/2 hours. they had me go up the ladder and take a look at their work. I can definitely tell a difference in the room with the bare spot. The room used to be cold in the winter months, now it feels comfortable.

It went fine. They were a little delayed because the weather was really bad. They did some overseeding but it didn’t work. Quality was so-so. I spent a lot of time and money watering my yard which was a waste. I will need to reseed again, which will cost me more money.
- Vamshi G.

They do a good job. They will notify you ahead of time to remind you of their scheduled appointment. My gate is usually locked, so this works out well for me since I need to be there when they arrive. I don't have any complaints with their service. They come when scheduled and always leave an invoice. I'll continue to use them in the future.
- Diallo H.

My lawn has recovered pretty well so I’ve been very satisfied with their work. This company was expensive for their aeration, but in the end, it worked out. The quality of work and professionalism is good!
- Manuel B.

Work was performed, but not when I wanted it done. The provider advertised a service under Angies list terms, but did not adhere to it.
I purchased the service in the Fall of 2014 believing it could be used within 6months- I wanted my lawn done in the early Spring. The company contact said that it needed to be done in the Fall. He would not schedule it for Spring, saying that it was a promotional offer, mainly to keep his staff working to the end of the season, and was not good for 6 months like the ad indicated. I feel that it was deceptive to offer the service and then put limitations on it after the purchase.

- Galen M.

They came out the date scheduled and sprayed the lawn. Our lawn was larger than the square footage covered in the promotion but I thought the additional amount was very reasonable. I was happy with their work and the results.

We usually do our own snow shoveling but often go out of town for a few weeks during the winter or are otherwise unable to do snow removal. In the past (since running out of teenagers to do the shoveling) we have contracted with various providers for periodic snow removal. There were always problems (didn't come when they were supposed to, came when they weren't supposed to, did more or less than requested).

caught my eye on Angies List because they do "organic lawn care," so I thought they'd be careful of my native plant garden. They were easy to reach and very responsive. In fact, while deciding which plan to choose (they offer full season services, 5 or 10 visit packages, or "on-request" services) I contacted them many times by phone and email. When I apologized for my frequent calls, they kindly reassured me that I should call whenever I needed to. Their prices seem quite reasonable. De-icing with "eco-friendly" ice melt costs extra and is pricey, but not inconsistent with the cost of this type of ice melt. They seem very organized and efficient, sending out emails when snow is predicted and again when they "activate" their routes. They also send notifications when icy conditions are predicted so you can request de-icing services. I selected a prepaid (you can pay in one installment or four monthly installments) 5-visit package. When we were out of town recently I called to activate the service; when we returned, I emailed to deactivate it. They came twice, so I still have three visits left. Our housesitter reported that the crew came promptly after each snowfall and did a good job. I was initially afraid they seemed too good to be true, but they've certainly lived up to their promises. We're so pleased we may just sign up for a full season's services next year.

This is a great company. Although we usually have no problem doing our own snow removal for our single-family home, we often go out of town for several weeks during the winter or for other reasons are unable to shovel.. We have used various companies in the past, and there were always problems (didn't come when promised, did more or less than requested, etc).

caught my eye because they offer "organic lawn care," and I have a native plant garden. They were easy to reach and extremely responsive. They offer a choice of plans: fixed price total season snow removal, 5-visit package, 10-visit package, or single visits on request. Depending on the plan, there may be an extra charge for removal of accumulations over 6 or 9 inches. "Eco-friendly ice melt" costs extra if you choose it; that service is expensive but not out of line with the cost of the deicing product. Compared to what I've seen and paid previously, their prices are very reasonable. In the process of deciding which plan to choose I called and spoke with
