did a beautiful job renovating our master bathroom with tremendous skill for an unbeatable price. Angie's List to the rescue, once again!
It would seem that the former owners of our 90+ year old home remodeled the master bath on their own and on the cheap a few years ago. The final product, while aesthetically pleasing, resulted in water damage, mold, cracking tile and a bath lacking in overall function. With new design plans in hand, I sought bids from five Angie's List contractors.
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
was the most prompt of the contractors I contacted, and provided the lowest bid by far. Normally I hesitate to go with the lowest bid, however the other Angie's List reviews for the company were so positive I felt comfortable choosing this contractor. I made the right choice.
Mr.
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
is the owner and sole employee of
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
. He does the work himself. He has decades of experience and is meticulous in his work. He is very good at envisioning the finished product and offers helpful suggestions if he thinks that any aspect of the renovation you are requesting will result in an awkward or insufficient final product. Throughout the course of the renovation he identified existing issues that needed to be addressed, including the replacement of wooden trim around a window in the tub/shower area with a PVC material to prevent water damage and the lack of insulation in exterior walls. He was not pushy about making these changes, recognizing that we were on a budget, but simply provided pricing information for items when requested, and then made the changes easily when we ok'd them.
Mr.

worked tirelessly on the project, arriving before the scheduled "start time" each day. After he had completed a portion of the work we paid him about 1/3 of the estimate. He actually advised me never to pay more than that to any contractor because there was a

they may not return to finish the job! He is exceptionally honest and takes great care to minimize disruption to your daily life. He communicated well and asked questions throughout the project. He was insistent that we tell him if we were displeased in any way while he was completing the work. Most importantly, the renovation fixed the problems we were trying to address. No more water leaks and the space is now beautiful and functional.
The cost of labor totaled $4,000 and he spent around $850 on materials. He made several returns at the end of the project and dropped off a check for the cost of the returned items. He also furnished receipts for everything purchased. Items such as tile, medicine cabinets, a new shower head and tub spout were purchased by me and not included in the cost of materials. The marble tub surround and cabinetry were also extra because Mr.

referred me to sub-contractors for these aspects of the renovation. I was delighted with his sub-contractor suggestions and pleased with the quality of their work.
Mr.

"I was VERY impressed with
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
. I was referred to this company by a friend who was also very impressed with them. The owner,
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
, is a very friendly and funny guy who really went out of his way to make sure that me and my children were not encumbered in any way during the month-long project. He made sure that he and his workers maintained a clean area and perimeter despite all the dust that was kicked up. Mr.
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
always had a large sample of tiles and materials from which I could choose. I also found it very interesting that Mr.
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
seemed to enjoy spending time not only asking what my wishes were, but also seemed to enjoy sharing his knowledge about how the various projects are carried out. So in this respect, I found Mr.
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
to be VERY personable/friendly, and that also showed through in how he treated his workers with respect and how they spoke very highly of him when he was not around.

"After trading emails with someone in his group, I saw him down the street on a job and asked him to come look at my plumbing and tile work. He came in with his helper and looked at the job telling me what he could do and that "I WILL GET BACK WITH YOU." NEVER happened.Went out on my own to find matching tiles and in the process of finding the tiles, the Owner of the business, Clay Tile, had a plumber and a tile guy. The plumber came out right away and performed the job well and did some preventive maintenance in case of future problems that would save me a lot of money(

"After shopping at four other major tile stores, we were horribly disappointed and confused because either the showrooms were unorganized and cluttered, the sales staff was useless, or the prices were sky high. We visited the
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
showroom out of desperation and we were immediately relieved and impressed with the organized and well-lit showroom.

The sales staff was extremely helpful and helped as much or as little as you preferred. After we narrowed down our selections, they quickly sent out someone to measure our rooms so a quote could be drawn up. The tile and installation prices were very reasonable. Once we ordered the tile, it took about 2.5 weeks to arrive at the warehouse, and then the installation was scheduled the following week.

The installation contractor team was extremely fast and efficient. They installed the backsplash and 750 sq. ft. of 18" tiles in only 1.5 days. The supervisor checked everything and asked all of the right questions before they got started. The floor was installed perfectly, as far as I can tell. The backsplash looks great too, but I did notice that a couple of the tiles are askew.

is quick to return calls and very punctual to start in the morning.
He does a good job keeping the worksite clean.

His work ethic is very good and he does good quality work. While we had
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
working, we also had another contactor come in to replace our back door. By contrast, the other contractor was simply interested in getting in and getting out.
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
even helped us fix the problem that the other contract caused.

All in all, the experience was good. He's so good that we just continue to find work for him to do. After retiling, we had him paint the bathroom, while painting, he discovered some rotting wood. This lead him outside to find more rotted wood and by the time it was over, he had replaced the entire exterior siding on one section of our house.

We would not hesitate to hire
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
again.

is actually out of Mississippi, but he was relocating over here for the house in
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
. It was a lot of work done in the house, especially with the floors. He made sure the crew cleaned up every time after they finished, so we were all in pretty good shape whenever they finished for the day. When we had any complaints, he took care of it. While they were putting in the kitchen floor, there was something that wasn't done quite right and he wasn't here when they were doing it. When he came back, we explained our concern. He made the workers take up a part of the floor and start all over again. He was a good person to work with. I used him after my ex-wife used him and she was quite pleased with him. His honesty seemed to be the biggest factor working with him and I would certainly recommend him to anyone else. He did sub-contract to some people and we had some complaints about 2 of the main plumbers. They seemed to charge a little bit excessive for what their share of the work was, but he took it off of our bill what we considered the excessive amount. I guess he short bid himself. I would use him again in the future. I feel like I have a new house now. "

"I visited the store and picked out the tile. The salesperson (
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
) scheduled time to come to my home with my selections to insure it was what I really wanted, and made very helpful suggestions. Tile was delivered on time and was exactly what I ordered, but one of the grout colors was not available when the other materials came in and another color was substituted (with my approval.) Installers were prompt, and the work was completed as promised. One thing to note is that the installers are contractors, not employees.
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
followed up to make sure I was satisfied with the end result. A little messy from the clean-up standpoint, but nothing I couldn't live with. Overall, I was pleased with the outcome.

"An appointment was set up immediately. I spoke to the office manager who was very nice and helpful. A technician was sent out the next day. He was very punctual, professional and helpful. He knew what I wanted to have done and obtained the information needed to complete the estimate.
I received the estimate the next day along with contact information for questions, etc.
I have not made a final decision on what I will do. I am obtaining another estimate.

"After three days we began to notice problems with everything he did from the floor tiles being grouted improperly to the shower tiles being installed incorrectly and not how the design was supposed to be. After being confronted with the problems all he wanted was his money for doing work for 3 days that looked terrible. We just had the plumbers in yesterday and they are telling us that the tiles around fixtures are cut to big and the floor upstairs the tiles are coming loose. Trust me people
Baton Rouge Tiling Experts Provider Name Locked
and his crew of tards are not worthy of your business. Buyer beware. We are currently working with our attorney to file a claim against him for the damage he did to our house. And don't let him park on your driveway he drives a old truck that leaks oil all over your driveway.
