"Recently moved here from out-of-state, I had to get PA inspections to switch license plates. I figured I'd go to a dealer as opposed to a general repair shop." Everything went OK & the car was done in a timely manner. They even called my insurance agent due to a wrong character on my insurance card. I was a bit astonished at the price but figured that was what it costs. A week later I got a pack of
coupons that would have afforded me the
to get the same thing done for considerably less. I'll watch for that next year. In Virginia, the cost of the safety inspection is capped at about $16 & the emissions is capped at about $25. I don't know the rules here. Also, the dealers I went to there always gave a written report on 25-or-so things also looked at on my car, even when I brought it in for things such as the state inspection. I didn't get that here. And even though I'd buy my cars in Maryland (and never return there for service), the
dealers in VA that did my service would run my car through their carwash when it was still newish (my car is a 2014 model with about 13K miles). In short - they did the job in a timely manner & got a mild error corrected. But they didn't do anything to endear me as I thought that washing my car (assuming they have a carwash, which most new car dealers do) would have been a nice gesture for a new customer to welcome me to the area. And as I learned, their price was nothing to do a somersault over. The waiting room was spacious & had a TV + WiFi.

"It went excellent, they are the only dealer for the past three cars we have bought. They give you the best bottom line deal for their customers, they go out of their" way to make us happy, their service department is excellent. The owner stands by his product. He will step up and take it out of his own pocket just to keep you happy. Sounds like your biggest problem will be narrowing your list to a limited number of models, and deciding what brand names you are willing to consider to narrow the field.

You can search for websites blogging complaints for each model you are considering to see how they rate with users, and you can also go to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website at     www.nhtsa.gov     to see how many recalls there have been on a specific model and year.

Most dealers these days have websites with their listed prices for new and used cars that you can browse to get an idea of available listed prices.

I would also recommend that you check out the used car values (free) for models you might be interested in on    www.edmunds.com    and on Kelley Blue Book  -  www.kbb.com

Those 2 sources will give you a lot of negotiating power, because they list what the dealer pays the manufacturer on new cars, shows what people have been paying for each vehicle model and model year, and shows used valuations also. There are undoubtedly other such sources also - these are just the ones I have used and seem to be the best known.

I went in for my 50,000 mile maintenance, and it was wonderful, as always. Their showroom and facility is very nice, clean, and accommodating. They also have free car washes if you bought your car there, and give me a loaner while I'm having service completed!

Scheduled an appointment to have the bed liner installed about a week in advance. Left my truck with them for about 6 hours due to someone else being in front of me in the queue (normally only takes 4 hours). When I picked my truck up I was extremely happy with the results. The liner looks perfect and they covered all the rails. Very professional service and well worth the price in my opinion.

I should have known better than to go to this Dealership as they quoted me an estimate and charged me more than the estimate without my approval once before. This time they gave me an estimate for a diagnostic charge/fee that was TWICE as much as a nearby competitor. I would have spent an extra $65 that was not needed.
