"The end result was good. But, when one of the workers initially came in the house he tracked snow and dirt into the living room (I still need to figure out how" to remove the stain that was left behind on my hardwood floor), although they did put a tarp down before the job was started. Another thing that left me a little peeved was that a thick film of dust was left on parts of the furniture that I did not cover; this is after I asked one of the workers if dust would be created from whatever work they would be doing, and he assured me it would be noisy, but there would be no dust created. Plus, I could have closed the doors to other rooms in the house to protect the furniture in those rooms if he would have told me when he realized that there would be dust created in the process.

"Because of too much weight in the closet, clothes rack pulled about 6 feet of sheet rock from wall.
repaired the sheetrock, mudded and fixed" it so it looks new. I had him forgo sand and painting because another portion of the closet still had clothes hanging up. Being a closet with clothes this was a nonissue. He installed about six feet of horizontal 2 x 4 to existing structure. He then mounted an additional 2 brackets (3 total) to ensure stability. All done professionally. His price was extremely modest and reasonable for the service performed. He works in the northwest Florida area. I was so impressed with his work and cost I have lined up two more projects for him to do as he has time to fit them in. I highly recommend this personable and professional handyman.

Artificial (quartz) is cheaper, more uniform, has fewer voids to collect dirt, and is almost as abrasion and chip resistant.

Granite is more expensive, stains and collects dirt a little easier as a rule, and is slighly more chip resistant as a rule.

For durability, I would not rate one over the other - barring a 250 lb guy hopping up on it and cracking it, either is likely to outlive you. Selection is typically based on appearance - quartz tends to be more uniform looking and does not always do a good job of simulating the veining and variations that natural stone has.

Now some of the man made stone counters rival the real granite and othe stones without the maintainence of stone. There are many of them out there and it is more a choice of looks than anything else. Corian is still a strong choice of tops today and one advantage is it can be repaired when scratched on site. If you don't mind the maintainence you can't beat the looks of real stone though unless you need a few pieces to make up the top as the graining may be hard to match up. I am impressed though at how realistic some of the man made products have become. It is more an issue of what brand are available in your area. Most all are made the same way with crushed stone and basically an epoxy binder used to make the sheets.

Marble And Granite reviews in Nicholasville

AP Flooring & Granite provided excellent service and product from beginning to end. I found that although they are a small shop, they had a good selection of granite in several grades and a good variety of colors. Their prices were more reasonable than any other shop I considered. The granite was an excellent quality and exceeded my expectation. They arrived on time and worked long hours in order to avoid inconveniencing us with an 'out of commission' kitchen. They did everything beautifully, taking care to clean up after themselves. I found the workers to be trustworthy, polite, and respectful. The service included installing a sink. They did the plumbing necessary to adapt from a two sided sink to a deep single drain sink. I had found tile that I especially liked from a local dealer, so they installed my tile as the backsplash for a reasonable installation fee. I requested several small adjustments that they readily accommodated at no additional cost and in a timely manner. I cannot emphasize enough what a pleasant experience workng with this company has been, whether at the office or on location. I will most definitely use them in the future and recommend their services without reservation.

We chose this company because co-workers of my husband recommended

Everything was excellent. Quality work at a fraction of the cost and in a much timely manner than the major big box retailers.

, the salesperson was very nice and delivered on what she promised. Granite was around $29/sq foot installed, and the job scheduled and completed in about a week and a half versus the month and a half wait from home improvement stores. Top notch measure and installation.

I had talked to mutiple granite companies and everyone said the same thing. "Pick out your granite and then it will be about 2-3 weeks before we can install"

Looked and took pictures of multiple slabs of granite. We were told at the desk it would again be about 3 weeks for install. know on Wednesday I liked his granite selections and prices but I really wanted my countertops done ASAP and 3 weeks was soooo far away.
I told him which slab I wanted, my kitchen was measuredd the following day, Thursday and my granite was installed the following Monday!!!! 5 Days total from picking my granite out to it being installed!!! The guys did an amazing job. My walls were not square (old house) but the guy who measured did it manually and digitally, so my tops fit perfect!!! I am so pleased!

I contacted them through their website and someone called me the same day.
Nicholasville Natural Stone Tile Provider Name Locked
came out the day after to do a quote and i went ahead and payed materials that same day.
The cabinets took a few weeks to arrive and a little while to be installed.
afterwards the granite came in and to be honest, i didn't think at first i would be happy, but for the price, i got an amazing kitchen!
They then sent someone out to do the backsplash. once it was completed i paid them the rest of the labor.
They didn't ignore me, and tried to fix my nitpicked spots.
overall i am quite satisfied.
- William H.

I contacted them and they called me right away and scheduled an appointment to see my kitchen. they came gave me a free estimate showed me the types of stones they had. The price was within my range they were very reliable in this aspect. A few days later they came with the stone i chose installed it. They made sure that everything was the way i wanted. All i can say is that i am very happy with my kitchen.
