I've used wall liner (it applies like wallpaper only thicker) to cover a multitude of "wall sins" over the years. In my opinion it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. It doesn't look cheap or tacky, it's inexpensive, non-labor intensive and not messy to install.
I used it for the first time about 15 years ago to cover a faux brick tile on my lower kitchen walls that couldn't be removed. It was either tear the wall down or take a chance on $40 worth of wall liner. It did the job beautifully and lasted. Since then I've used it to cover paneling, a badly gouged wall after a kitchen remodel and a wall that looked like a pegboard after floor to ceiling shelving was removed.
Friends and family (and realtors!) have been amazed by the transformation after applying this simple inexpensive product.
Drywall Repair And Installation reviews in Ivel
We were most impressed with this company. Mr.
Problems that I encountered was with the owner, who came out a week beforehand to review what needed to be done.
He said the15-20 sq ft of tiling would take more than alloted four hours with grouting. He said this would be an additional charge per hour. Since I was clear about my budget, I told the owner, I prefer to get a refund and wait until I can afford to get the work done. He then went into a long explanation and eventually said he would do the work for me as a "favor." I was upfront by stating no favor was necessary, my budget was set and tiling can wait. He continued to push to go ahead and do the work. Evenualy I accepted.since he said they would try to get it all done within the alotted time and if they go over he would not charge extra. I had also received several previous bids for this tiling at $300, so I was in the appropriate price range for the work with the Angie's list "deal."
When the worker was finished, he got the owner on the phone who asked to speak with me. The owner asked if I was happy with the work and I said yes. He immediately reminded me that he said it would take longer then alloted and since it had, it would normally cost $120 but I could pay him for 1/2 hour ($60.) I reminded him our his offer. He continued to lecture me. This converation made me feel uncomfortable and a bit betrayed since he had made an offer and I had been upfront which is fair.
His continuing to push dampered my excitement for the new kitchen backsplash and seemed an ovralll unprofessional approach. When a customer is clear on budget, honor that and your honor your word or simply charge whatever you charge.
