"Recently moved here from out-of-state, I had to get PA inspections to switch license plates. I figured I'd go to a dealer as opposed to a general repair shop." Everything went OK & the car was done in a timely manner. They even called my insurance agent due to a wrong character on my insurance card. I was a bit astonished at the price but figured that was what it costs. A week later I got a pack of
coupons that would have afforded me the
to get the same thing done for considerably less. I'll watch for that next year. In Virginia, the cost of the safety inspection is capped at about $16 & the emissions is capped at about $25. I don't know the rules here. Also, the dealers I went to there always gave a written report on 25-or-so things also looked at on my car, even when I brought it in for things such as the state inspection. I didn't get that here. And even though I'd buy my cars in Maryland (and never return there for service), the
dealers in VA that did my service would run my car through their carwash when it was still newish (my car is a 2014 model with about 13K miles). In short - they did the job in a timely manner & got a mild error corrected. But they didn't do anything to endear me as I thought that washing my car (assuming they have a carwash, which most new car dealers do) would have been a nice gesture for a new customer to welcome me to the area. And as I learned, their price was nothing to do a somersault over. The waiting room was spacious & had a TV + WiFi.

"It went excellent, they are the only dealer for the past three cars we have bought. They give you the best bottom line deal for their customers, they go out of their" way to make us happy, their service department is excellent. The owner stands by his product. He will step up and take it out of his own pocket just to keep you happy. We are always exceedingly happy by how we are treated by them, we do not even bother looking at another car dealership to make a purchase any more.

For sale, here is another answer I previously gave to same type question -

Sounds like your biggest problem will be narrowing your list to a limited number of models, and deciding what brand names you are willing to consider to narrow the field.

You can search for websites blogging complaints for each model you are considering to see how they rate with users, and you can also go to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website at     www.nhtsa.gov     to see how many recalls there have been on a specific model and year.

Most dealers these days have websites with their listed prices for new and used cars that you can browse to get an idea of available listed prices.

I would also recommend that you check out the used car values (free) for models you might be interested in on    www.edmunds.com    and on Kelley Blue Book  -  www.kbb.com

Those 2 sources will give you a lot of negotiating power, because they list what the dealer pays the manufacturer on new cars, shows what people have been paying for each vehicle model and model year, and shows used valuations also. There are undoubtedly other such sources also - these are just the ones I have used and seem to be the best known.

Car Dealership reviews in Independence

I went in for my 50,000 mile maintenance, and it was wonderful, as always. Their showroom and facility is very nice, clean, and accommodating. They also have free car washes if you bought your car there, and give me a loaner while I'm having service completed!
- Barbara B.

Scheduled an appointment to have the bed liner installed about a week in advance. Left my truck with them for about 6 hours due to someone else being in front of me in the queue (normally only takes 4 hours). When I picked my truck up I was extremely happy with the results. The liner looks perfect and they covered all the rails. Very professional service and well worth the price in my opinion.

I strongly believe that the car show to me is not the car they gave me. The car that show to me has a tint that I drove around 6 PM. But the car I got did not have the tint. After 5 days of purchasing my
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
brand new car, I had a issue with
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
car . When I called, dealership salesmen made the call to go to service, and @ service went to voice mail and they never returned my call. I called next day, service pointed back to salesman. This dealership didn't take responsibility. I am writing this review that no one else should fall in the trap of "

and suffer like me.
I had one more issue with finance team. They coded wrong about my maintenance package that I bout. I called them again and went to voice mail. The only good thing out of it is Finance person (
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked

) did corrected it. But I never get a reply-call. I wrote my review in a happy & healthy environment. I am in computer profession, and I have no relationship with CAR dealers.
My suggestion is please take a step back before going to this dealership.
- Hari M.

Very easy to schedule an appointment. The service team was very cordial and they arranged to have someone drive me to and from work as a courtesy. I am very pleased with
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
. I also appreciated the free cappucino when I arrived to drop off my car.

Please see my prior reviews. Again, the ONLY reason we went with this dealership was because we received something IN WRITING from Sales Manager. Consumers - even if it is in WRITING means absolutely nothing!! Judges always say "get it in writing, get it in writing". What a joke -- getting something in writing means ZERO! Run away as fast as you can! See below:
Sales manager agreed to terms in writing to bait me into the showroom then tried to switch the terms that were agreed to on email.
After several weeks of phone calls, emails and correspondence,
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
B made an offer on June 3rd to us on the purchase of a new
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
Odyssey EX-L van. The email negotiation was final and set, an appointment time was made to finalize and take delivery of the vehicle after agreeing to terms. On the morning of
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
1, 2015 at 9:00AM at the beginning of the meeting; I stated clearly and had a copy of the email correspondence that we agreed to and gave it to the subordinate salesman to review as to ensure that we all had an agreement and "meeting of minds" to ensure that the terms agreed to in writing were to be honored. The email stated terms $499/month payment, 72 month term, they would include Platinum Protection Package at @$2078 with $100 deductible and would pay off my prior trade in balance. Since
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
B*******, Sales Manager put this in writing and made a deal, I asked
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
J****** at the start of our meeting at 9:00AM to please make sure this is the agreed upon terms before we go any further.
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
left the area with the printed email from
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
and spoke to the GSM on the floor that morning,
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
B**** and confirmed that we have a deal. .Now it was just the formality of writing up the paperwork. By 11:40 AM I was in the finance office when I learned that they really did not want to offer the deal, they started to back out and said that they could not and would not have agreed to the terms. I was highly frustrated and irate by this point as months and weeks of negotiations were set, 2 hours and 40 minutes of my time was wasted. Admittedly I did cuss and got loud in the showroom as I realized they did a bait and switch just to get me in the finance office. They strung me along and really never intended to honor the deal that
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
B*******, Sales Manager, put in writing. Furthermore, I left the showroom after GSM
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
B**** asked me to leave and I left behind my vehicle registration on my trade in. Since I had to leave for my job, my spouse had to return to pick up the registration.
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
B******* was called in to the dealership and met my wife at the reception desk; he would not give her the registration until he tried to offer her different deals on the transaction. She had to tell him the deal was over and then he asked her to leave the premises.
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
actually told my wife that her Yelp review ruined their business. Sorry that the truth hurts. The General manager of
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
said that the sales manager made a mistake. Mistake? This was no mistake. It was in writing.
To reiterate: We were assured by our salesman
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
and sales manager
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
that they would "make it right" after the bad experience we had last May 2014 "they wanted to ensure that their back yard customers were happy". The entire negotiations were lengthy, over email and phone calls for nearly three months. My wife spoke to
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
several times and reiterated that he please read her Yelp review before moving forward with any negotiations.
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
explained he would do all he could to make this "wrong into a right". I do not accept that this was a mistake. The agreed upon terms were not a snap decision on the part of the dealership as it took time to discuss and negotiate this deal. The sales manager
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
B****** sent an email giving his word and I quote, "We would love to earn your business, what time do you want to come in? I have reviewed the deal with my GSM, and we will do exactly what you wrote below". End quote. This email was sent on June 27, 2015 at 8:25 am. We were heading out of town and were not able to set up an appointment until
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
1, 2015. Sales had plenty of time to review the email. *** ***** actually said that because it was
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
1, 2015 they could no longer honor that deal. Who wouldn't cuss after being lied to and strung along for months - better yet
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
PUT IN WRITING they agreed to the terms of our offer sent on June 4, 2015 at 7:52 am?? Classic textbook definition of "Switch and Bait" - "A dishonest marketing tactic in which a marketer advertises or offers a very attractive price/rate/term that is really a teaser rate meant to attract customers and get them into the showroom". To work hard with honest negotiation over months to get something in writing as we did and then string me along for TWO HOURS - once I hit the finance office - NO WAY -
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
never agreed to the terms in the email - knowing what we had been through the year prior. Unprofessional and unethical business practices. If nothing else comes out of my review I hope every consumer who reads this knows what they are dealing with before walking through the door.
Finally, in closing, I would like to point out that on the morning of the on-site appointment, I gave sales an opportunity to check again with the GSM to ensure that we agreed to the deal as it stated in writing..I had him check and he came back to me and said "Yes we are good". Go to any
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
dealership in the
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
area but do not come here.

By far , this is the most pleasant, easiest and cooperative vehicle purchase I ever could ever have anticipated. The professionalism of Mr.
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
far exceeded any expectations. The personalized service shown to me, I believe, is over and above any other of my previous buying experiences.
Thank you to Mr.
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
, for everything he has done to make this purchase so smoothe and easy for me.
I will be happy to recommend him as the man to see when considering a quality vehicle purchase.

I should have known better than to go to this Dealership as they quoted me an estimate and charged me more than the estimate without my approval once before. This time they gave me an estimate for a diagnostic charge/fee that was TWICE as much as a nearby competitor. I would have spent an extra $65 that was not needed. I even sent a note to the manager about the first time they did not honor the written estimate and did not ask for my authorization for the dollar change and received no reply or acknowledgment. I will avoid using
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
in the future.

Because of the high cost at
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
, I began searching other places to get the alignment. Because of great reviews, I went to

Alignment in North
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
. These people are SO HONEST! He said my car was NOT OUT OF ALIGNMENT, that I just needed air in my tires...and that the front wheels needed balancing. It cost a total of $16.00! I'll NEVER go to that

service department again! Well, unless it's to purchase another
Independence Car Dealerships Provider Name Locked
...I love my car!
