Hvac Reviews in Frankfort

My auxiliary heat came on and I was concerned. I called at 7:30 pm to ask if this was an issue that needed to be repaired immediately. The on-call tech returned my call within 20 minutes and reassured me. In the morning, I scheduled a service call, and
& Son was very responsive. The tech,
J., was at my house within 2.5 hours, was very personable but professional. The service was performed and the cost was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone who asked, and actually have scheduled for a twice yearly maintenance on my system.

Angies List caused me to buy maintenance services from
& Air of Lexington, which saved me money by having a special rate.
Everything went perfectly well from beginning to end.
was very responsive, punctual , personable and professional. What more could I ask? In the years of having a Frankfort company, and I rechecked my files, I was never given a printed detailed list of tune-up procedures performed or not needed until
gave me one today. Service companies should provide each customer with such a list, but of course not all do.
even noted issues in writing to check later in order to watch for any changes or needed service. He also wrote down the manufacturer's parts numbers (model & serial) for future reference and return trips. Thank you Angies List and thank you
& Air.

The company was responsive in scheduling a time that worked for me. The technician was polite and professional. My furnace had some cracked hoses and needed additional work requiring a second service visit. I felt the price was reasonable for the additional work that was done. I like that the technicians showed me the cracked hoses and problem areas on the furnace. They did a good job explaining the problem and required fix.

I have not had any complaints with this company. They are reliable and prompt. They set a time and come during that time. I would recommend this company.

Our central air unit quit working on Memorial Day. I called this company after first checking with a couple of others, whose offices were apparently closed for the holiday. When I called this one, I got a call center, who took my information and told me they'd have a technician call me as soon as possible. Within 15 minutes, the technician called me for more information and to give me an approximate time of arrival. He was able to get to my house about an hour and a half later. He quickly diagnosed the problem (the capacitor) and fully explained what was wrong. He worked on the air conditioning unit in full sun in temperatures well into the 80's, including cleaning the coils, which turned out to be very dirty (he also showed me this when he took the cover off the unit). Finally, he also recharged the system with coolant, which was also low, according to his meter. In less than two hours, he had the system working fine again. Although the parts were inexpensive, his labor for working on the holiday was rather expensive, as I expected. My bill was about $300, but I was impressed that the company sent me a refund check for overpayment by about $25 within the next week (the technician must have figured something wrong when he wrote up the ticket). I was very happy with the service I got, especially on a hot holiday weekend. I will definitely call them again if I have any air conditioner or furnace problems.

came to the house and found that the compressor had a leak in it. He recharged the unit and also suggested that we clear some of the plants away from the unit for better air circulation and even helped me with clearing out the vegetation. He is a very pleasant gentleman and we have exclusively used his company for our heating and air conditioning needs for 35 years.

In 2005 I had

install a new heat pump and air exchanger for me and my husband who was ill with cancer. After my husband died I had a home inspection done where my heat pump was found to be installed without a drain in my crawlspace causing my crawlspace to become moist and infested with termites. I called

and his explanation was the original installer had not installed a drain for my old unit so they didn't either. They did come out the next day and corrected it. In 2011 my AC quit working. The serviceman came out and checked my unit for a charge of approximately $84.00 which I paid and was told I would get back if I used them for the repair. I first had a friend look at my unit when it wouldn't work. He was a retired HVAC repairman. My friend told me it was not the compressor since the compressor was testing out as being operational. After I called

I was told it was my compressor and I needed a new one. Trane has a policy that only Trane dealers can get parts for Trane AC units. So I had little choice but to use

for my repair. The repairman was prompt and professional but

and behold after putting in the compressor he discovered another non-working part that had to be replaced before my AC was repaired ( just like my friend had told me). When I received my bill the initial charge of $84.00 was not taken off of a total charge of over $800.00 for a compressor still under warranty and one additional part. This charge was only supposing for labor and the one extra part. The extra part cost around $63.00. So the additional charge was for labor. The total hours actually on the job was around 3 hours. I felt as a widow I was taken advantage of. First for the bad job of installing, leaving my crawlspace wet and prone to infestation. And then putting in a not needed compressor and once again charging me for an additional service call that should have been free.

himself was personable, professional, and friendly, and I liked him right off the bat. But like some businessmen his policies are to make money anyway he can.
