"Update: 6-14-12: I had a third party come out to look at the gate to fix it at my own cost. Like the company mentioned, I was concerned that all would be done was replacing according to them a warped piece of wood. When they first looked at the gate, they were unclear as to what happened. They informed me that when they come to fix it, they would be able to tell more. The next day, they were out promptly to fix it. The first thing they noticed wad that three out of the four pieces of 2 x 4's had to be replaced on the right side of the gate. I was told that the 2 x 4's were not pretreated, but the fence panel/boards were. They began taking the panels off of the gate and put a level next to the remaining panels and showed me how they were not leveled/straight. They preceded to remove every panel from the right side and rebuild the gate. They actually had to add a panel to the gate because once they rebuilt the gate, it was so unleveled before that it actually needed another panel. Once this was done, and put up, it was evident that something else was wrong with the left side. The entire left side of the gate was leaning forward from the top and as a result would not close correctly. Needless to say, they had to rebuild the left side too. Also, several of the panels on the front of the gate had to be replaced due to the fact that some were bending inward and some were bending outward. Two specific panels were the ones that the hardware was attached to at the end of the. I do now have a very nice gate the closes perfectly, however the issues were beyond a warped piece of wood.

I understand that wood bends and warps, however, about a fourth of the wood used had to be replaced. One or two boards is understandable and I would have gladly paid someone to fix them promptly. I never asked for the courtesy of having this work done free, I just asked if it could be fixed.

There was not a rope that tied the gate together to keep my dogs in. Their was actually a lawn chair that I had to put through the gap in the gate. My dog did not push on the gate because since since the gap formed in late Feb. a few weeks after the it was installed, I had to stand outside while my dogs were walked and immediately put the lawn chair in the gap to avoid any problems. I am unclear and confused as to the lack of accuracy in the facts of the company's response.

The decision to choose someone else to fix the gate was due to not wanting to deal with the attitudes and arguments of the company and to get a third party not known to the situation to tell me what happened to the gate.

******************************************************************************************************************************************************

In Feb, that company came out and finished the work. By April 13th, the privacy gate began to bow and a large gap between the two gates has formed. This gap is large enough for my mastiff mix to fit through. That tells you how large the gap is!! The company did come out (more to the story that will be described below) around April 20th. On May first I e-mailed company again to see if they could come out and fix the gate because the mastiff mix almost got through the gate and a dog fight almost occurred with my neighbors dog. At that time I was told that they would TRY to have someone come out to fix the gate. May 13th after contacting the company again I was told they would have someone out NEXT WEEK to fix the gate. Needless to say, the gate is not fixed and given the other reviews, I have no confidence that it will be fixed.
For the rest of the story.....In the midst of this, I wanted to give the company the benefit of the doubt. I asked them for a quote for a concrete pad for a spa during the April/May time period. I finally received the quote on May 23rd and to make the story short, I asked for the quote on May 13th. So it took ten days to get the quote. Seems a little long, but that is okay. The problem was the evasive response from the company when I told them I had to go with someone else who responded back to me quicker. The company said to me when I told them this the following quote: " I did e-mail you right back...no foul though." Ten days later does not seem to me to be right back.
According to the e-mail, the company is supposed to be out this weekend June 8, 2012 to fix the completely crocked gate. My confidence that this will happen is pretty much none!

As and update, I have made the decision due to the dealings with this company to go in a different direction and not have them come out June 8th to fix the gate.

and his crew at
made very quick work of re-fencing our yard. It was important that it be done quickly for the dogs who are used to accessing the yard freely through the dog door. The crew pulled down the old, ugly, chainlink fence, including the part that had 2 trees growing through it. They cut down the trees, as requested, before putting up the beautiful new Kentucky board fence, complete with wire mesh backing to keep the dogs in. I was so thrilled with the work that I called back 3 months later to have an additional part of the yard fenced."

"I had contracted with mills to extend my fence when my retaining wall was finished. They were very accommodating with their time because of delays on the wall and were able to fit me in with little notice. They did an excellent job and for the day and a half it took them (due to having to pour concrete and let it dry) they were a true bargain!"
