"excellent service, timely wait for the repair to get done i thought it would take weeks but he did it in 2 days, he found just the right color turquoise to match" the rest of my stones plus the store has an amazing collection of native american art.

"We entered the store. Several people ran to help us. Now we know why. We asked if they could take links out of a watch band not purchased in their store. One person" said sure. Took the watch, Took about 10 minutes to remove the links. Handed us a bill for $59.95. Explained she could have charged us $109.90, to make us feel better. It did not work. Stay away from

Depends on the design and how much it is being resized, and if reducing or increasing. For a simple one-size change larger, with a simple circular ring, can be as cheap as $20-30 to heat and stretch it.
If needs to be enlarged more or reduced, then it has to be cut and changed to the size wanted, and fused back together, with new gold or silver if enlarging. Obviously, reducing is cheaper than enlarging as no signficant new metal is needed, and silver is cheaper than gold or platinum because of the six-seven fold difference in the cost of the metals.
Resizing involving cutting probably in the $50-100 range for silver or for reducing a gold ring, enlarging a gold ring with added metal could run $100-250 depending on how large the ring is - a real hefty men's ring will obviously take more metal, so more cost, than a thin wedding band.
You want to consider the value of the ring - a real valuable or antique ring you want to take to a true artisan jeweler who makes and modifies rings in-house - a simple economy ring or simple band you would get a cheaper price probably at a chain store like Zales.
When you drop it off be sure to get a written receipt for it while they work on it (usually unless a simple one-size stretch job, cannot do while you wait), and I would also take a picture or two of it on your cell phone, including a zoom shot of any interior engraving, so if there is any question about whether you got back what you dropped off, you have some proof. Of course, the integrity of the shop is critical.

The outcome is absolutely amazing. The original set was very worn and yet the jeweler was able to recreate each and every detail to perfection. I can't say enough about how much I love the final product. However, the process took much longer than I anticipated. I dropped the original set off in October and didn't receive my new rings until January. I feel as though a lot of last minute holiday jobs took precedence over mine during November and December, which was a little frustrating. My interactions with sales staff were hit or miss. I worked with one staff member closely in the estimate and decision making phase who I felt really listened to what I was wanting. I had numerous phone conversations with a different staff member that were unpleasant and left me concerned that I wasn't going to get what I was describing. The agreement I had made was that the original diamond and metal would be incorporated into the new set for sentimental reasons. I was aware up front that using the original metal may not be possible due to damage and contamination. I expected to be informed of the final process, however when I went to pick up the new set, the sales person mentioned nothing about the original set, leading me to believe that it had been successfully incorporated into my new set. As I was paying, I happened to notice something in the plastic bag that had contained my order, I couldn't be sure but it seemed possible that it was the original set. I didn't say anything at the time and neither did the sales person. Later that evening, I grew concerned that my grandmothers wedding set may in fact have been what I saw and that the jewelry store intended to throw it away. This was a devastating possibility to consider and after a sleepless night waiting until the store opened the next morning, I called to ask. Sure enough, they were not able to use the metal and they had my grandmothers wedding set with no apparent intention to ask me if I wanted it returned. I immediately drove to the store to pick it up. In the end, I am left wondering how a jewelry sales person can have so little regard for the sentimental value of family jewelry that she would have not instinctually known that I would want the original set back and not to have it tossed into the trash.

Best place to go to for jewelry in the Metro Detroit area, hands down.
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
is extremely good at what he does, and if you tell him what you're looking for, your price range, and what matters most to you about what you are buying (size, style, etc) he'll help you get the best piece at the best price available.

My family, 3 generations of us, have been going to
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
for years and have never had any reason to reconsider our decision. This visit we brought in several pieces of jewelry, some my mother's, some mine, that needed attention of some kind. 2 watches needing batteries, a broken silver earring, my great-grandmother's broach needing replacement stones and some small repairs to jump rings on the necklaces my husband and I never remove. We also brought in 2 large pearl earrings we wanted to have made into pendants. We discussed with
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
our ideas of what we wanted and our budget and then we went looking for appropriate mounts. In the past we have had
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
design custom settings but our budget didn't allow that on this occasion. He was very patient and thorough in showing us just about everything available for our purposes including things he could modify to get the look we wanted. We selected 2 mounts for the 2 pearls, he documented the size and quality of the pearls we were leaving with him and told us we could expect to hear from him in a couple of days - when the mounts arrived - so we could approve them before he mounted the pearls.
I will update this review when the work is complete but fully expect that this time, as in the many times before, we will be delighted with the work
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
has done and the price that we paid for it.

My husband and I went to EVERY JEWELRY shop at
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
's Corner looking at sapphire engagement rings. It was a long, dazzling weekend. We decided on Jewelry Direct in Falls Church city -- in our opinion their designs are the most beautiful and the best prices in Northern Virginia. The diamond wedding ring is slightly curved complimenting the shape of the sapphire engagement ring. After the wedding I asked Jewelry Direct to solder the two rings together to hold them in place permanently.
They invited me to return often to clean my diamonds. The jewelers clean my diamond rings and check the settings whenever I visit. The are friendly and professional.

My husband went into the Jeweler to replace a watch battery While he was waiting he saw what he considered the most beautiful earrings he had ever seen. Since his brain bleed, everything is beautiful to him. When he showed them to me I said they were "fine".. He said only fine. I looked at the price tag and saw they were $5K earrings. I clearly stated to
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
who was helping us that we could not afford these earrings. He then showed me some similar earrings for half that price. I said no, just can not afford these. I moved on and behind my back my husband gave him our joint charge card to buy them for me for Christmas. When I reviewed our charge card transactions 4 days later and found the large purchase. I went back to the store (the earrings were not picked up yet) and said I'm sorry we can not afford these earrings. We moved into my parents house to help care for my father when my mom passed away and he could not care for himself and our house has not sold for over a year an half. So I'm taking care of both houses and we have bills for the hospital and doctors that have put us in a financial bind at the moment. I explained this to the store and
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
said they were altered but he would see what he could do. That was on Sat the 13th of
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
. He called me in the evening on Tuesday saying they could give me store credit for a "small" restocking fee (more on that later). I said that did me no good, I could not afford the earrings. There was nothing they could do but give me store credit. I returned them to see if I could get a diamond or something I could sell better to try and recover some of my money. They charged me a $592.15 restocking fee. They had to walk from one counter to another to display in the case and probably some typing to update their inventory. These were not special ordered and no changes were made except putting locking backs on the earrings. I feel they clearly heard me say we could not afford these earrings and took advantage of my husband. When I tried to return them they would not take them back for anything but store credit. I filed a complaint with the BBB and am waiting for a reply. People I have talked to have said I should call the paper and new channels for the consumer watchers. I hate to do that but it has been a struggle. I have been talking to the credit people and they are trying to work with me but it has put us in a terrible bind. They were always professional but would not waiver on helping me out. This was a gift bought straight from the counter - that they would not return. They said the designer of the earrings Made by
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
and designed by
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
would not return the money they had paid to them for the earrings. This was also before the earrings had been picked up. I think a little of my frustration is showing here.

Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
worked with us to decide on a customized setting, and met with us
late one evening (after store hours) to look at an array of diamonds to select
the "perfect" solitaire. And it is! We couldn't be happier with the ring!
Throughout the process,
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
was very accommodating, patient
and generous with her expertise. She is honest, trustworthy and very
knowledgeable. The prices are reasonable, given the quality. We highly recommend
Elizabethtown Designer Jewelry Provider Name Locked
, and will be purchasing our wedding bands from her as well.

With great difficulty and reluctance I took the clock to him on the day he specified and when I showed up he told me to come back in an hour which I refused because I did not want to be transporting this clock around in the back of my pickup truck due to the possible damage that it could cause to the clock. He allowed me to leave the clock and he did not assist me in moving it. After contacting the clock manufacturer we were advised that the service needed should not cost more than $150 and that the clock should not have to be moved to the servicer. After hearing this I was irate and decided to go get the clock and bring it back home which I did. I had a similar experience with this gentleman on an another antique grandfather clock we own and had much of the same experience. This was approximately 2 years ago. Again a $600 repair cost to clean and oil and he had the clock over a month. I should have learned from that experience. I will never use this company for clock repair again.

He called the day of the appointment to confirm the time and that he would be at our home. He was on time, courteous and very professional. He was very pleasant to do business with and we highly recommend his service. We would definitely use him again.
