"We had wanted an additional estimate for flagstone stairs and patio. Rami gave me the number of a subcontractor they use. The subcontractor came out and seemed" very interested in the work, said he would send an estimate ( approx. week later no estimate had been sent), then unprofessionally he emailed me to say he did not think it would work out. I did take this situation into consideration when making my decision. A company should be very careful about recommending other companies that are not professional.

"I had been needing to replace my roof for a while now and had heard great reviews from a friend of mine about . From the phone call to" the estimate it was a pleasant experience. But what really inspired me to hire them for the job was the fact that during the inspection I had told them to excuse the foul scent throughout the house as I wasn't sure where it had arisen from. They asked if they could inspect the attic as they were concerned there may be mold spreading throughout the house. They went up into the attic and conducted a mold test which came back positive. I was concerned due to the fact that I am pregnant and they were extremely reassuring; they would be able to remove the mold and apply the roofing simultaneously for our convenience. They were able to get someone out to us at our earliest convenience and did a complete mold remediation as well as apply beautiful Spanish tiles to compliment our home. Since the renovation our house no longer smells, my allergies have subsided, and my overall health has improved. They made the entire process easy and comfortable for us. Thank you to the Premium family!

Woodworking, Molding and Baseboards

Carpenters who specialize in the finishing details of a house can craft a variety of items from wood, including baseboards and molding.

Baseboards and molding

Baseboards and molding serve a practical function -- covering up the space where walls and floors join, as well as protecting the wall from scuffs and dents. But they also provide a decorating opportunity.

Using different types of wood for interior trim provides a unique alternative with eco-friendly products.

Blue wall, white baseboard in room setting

Dear Angie: What does it cost to replace baseboards? Mine are made of dark wood that was painted white, but is now chipping. I’m interested in replacing the existing trim with pre-painted, faux-wood baseboard. – Beverly C., Cheyenne, Wyoming

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

I contacted by phone about doing a small job to repair some
damage to my front door. He asked me to send him an email with a photo
of the damage, so I did, but he never responded to it.

Because of how the stairs met the flooring in adjacent rooms and in the hallway, took special care with measurements and installation. It was not an ideal "start from scratch" setup for a carpenter, but he worked with these difficulties in stride and made it look and feel of excellent quality. He definitely takes pride ...More in his work and in his neatness. He worked in our home as if it were his own home, and cleaned up very well after construction.
What I was pleased with the most was his level of flexibility. In knowing that we have small children and the possibility of no-stairs, a potential safety issue, he was able to do the main staircase work while we were on a week long vacation. Some of this was coincidental timing of the materials order, but he was indeed able to fulfill the majority of the duties during this time.
The work done required a higher price tag than we wanted or expected, however, the quality of the work is excellent and I would much rather have his carpentry craftmanship over a shoddy job.

and his crew changed an ugly, outdated kitchen into a bright, new-looking room. The many cabinet doors and drawer fronts now have a soft white shine with no hint of their knotty pine construction. Whether it was plastering, patching, priming or final coat, the work was done neatly, with little dust. ...More is a good manager. His handling of the business side was fair His team of 3 or 4 workers was respectful of the house, careful and pleasant.

Excellent. Very prompt and attentive. Even though our job was just a small job, fixing one cabinet. Mr traveled all the way from Broadway County to our home in Coral Gables, examined the cabinet and gave us an estimate, then returned within less than a week with the parts needed to fix the mechanism. He was very professional, ...More punctual and knowledgable of his job. I will defenetily recommend him and use him again.

He was very courteous and professional. He only gave an estimate of the work I want done now. I most likely will hire him to do what is needed now and any future work in the spring.

Kept me informed of the tasks on a weekly/daily basis. Always on time and extremely courteous, polite and professional. Extremely clean and cleaned up surroundings on a daily basis. Protected environment and hauled off trash daily. I am not easy to please and I have high expectations. I could not have been more pleased with the beautiful outcome ...More and service. Above and beyond attention to fine detail. Even came back to add a bottom brush to my screen door.
