"If it's any indication of how things went, my son woke up and told Dr K that '"I love you!" The staff is incredibly patient, kind and understanding. We were referred" by a dentist familiar with Dr K for oral surgery and we feel very lucky to have found him.

"I was supposed to go in for an extraction of an abscessed tooth. My regular dentist's office called ahead and made a point of telling them I needed the tooth extracted and that" it needed to be done soon. At this point I had swelling in the side of my face that looked like a golf ball. The exact words "today if possible" were used by the woman who called in to make the appointment for me. They were able to get me in for an appointment at noon the following day. My husband went with me and after I talked to the receptionist, who seemed put out by the fact that her job involved talking to people, we spent the next hour in the waiting room. During that hour we were not updated about the time or how far behind they were. At this point I was getting annoyed not only by the wait, but because I hadn't eaten or had anything to drink since the night before because I was told I was going in for an extraction and if I wanted to be sedated I couldn't eat or drink anything for at least 6 hours before the appointment. When my name was called I was told that they need a different x-
than the one my dentist sent. Why, I still don't know, because the film they sent with me showed the abscess. But, I was in pain and just wanted it taken care of so, fine. 25 minutes later the dentist came in. He walked in, looked in my mouth and said "that tooth needs to come out". He told me my options regarding local anesthetic and sedation/ general anesthesia. I expressed concern over the general anesthesia and my fear of anesthesia awareness. His response was that there had been no documented cases of that with the type they used. I looked that up later and that statement was false. So, he is either sadly misinformed or he lied. Either way, I wouldn't have trusted him before he said that, I certainly don't trust him now. In addition to that it wasn't until after all of this that I was told that this was "just a consultation" and "we won't be doing any work on it today" and that was only because my husband asked. The rest of what happened before I left the office: I received a bill for $185.00 - $110.00 for the x-
and $75.00 for him to look in my mouth for less than 10 seconds. $75.00 for less than a 5 minute "consultation". I had to request a copy of my $110.00 x-
(which I paid for that day) 3 times. I was offered an appointment for March 3rd - 9 days later, despite the fact that my dentist made a point of trying to get me a same day appointment for the extraction the day before. The end result of this was that I wasted an hour and a half of my life and $185.00 in an office full of rude people and did not have my problem taken care of. Instead I had to request that my dentist call in a referral to another office and wait until they had an opening. I cannot imagine why anyone would ever return to this office and I am appalled that the staff would treat patients the way that they do. I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone for any reason. This is, hands down, the worst oral surgeon or dentist of any kind for that matter that I have personally ever been to.

"AVOID THIS GUY!! This dentist is the worst I have ever experienced. He totally screwed up the crown he insisted I get on one of my bottom teeth. He ground the top surface down so" much that it doesn't touch the top tooth. And he laughed at me when I mentioned this to him. I went to two other dentists for second opinions and they agreed that too much had been ground off the top of the crown.
would not do anything about his mistake, refusing to even admit he made a mistake. Not that I would ever let this guy near my teeth again. And, he was terrible with making his patients wait while he worked on other patients. On the day he put the crown on, he had me waiting in a chair for 4 and a half hours! He really doesn't care about his patients health or time and the laughing was the last straw. He is very disrespectful and a terrible dentist.

He was very friendly and explained in detail the process. He pulls the tooth first then you wait approx. 3 months and he does the first stage of the implant. I had mentioned that I looked up him and the practice on Angie's list. He was not aware that the practice or him was rated. I waited approx. 10 minutes and was called in and talked to someone about the costs associated with each step. She was very nice and give me a list of the costs that I would incur. I scheduled my appointment to get my tooth pulled.

I found him to be extremely likeable. He explains things well and seems knowledgeable. Very friendly and doesn't rush you. His hygienist the same. VERY friendly and answers questions honestly and thoughtfully, even when asked by my young daughter. The problem was at check-out. The lady was rude -- didn't smile and didn't

or introduce herself. Chided me for not telling them I was a "Clipper Coupon Special" when scheduling. I felt like a welfare patient asking for a hand-out. She actually huffed. Then, she seemed very put-out when I requested a copy of xrays -- stated she really should be charging me for them, she needs more notice, etc. She actually looked irritated with me. She finally handed me a paper photocopy of xrays, reluctantly. As for his composite filling estimate prices, they were a little high, but I would have paid them, had it not been for my substandard experience with the office staff. I am a RN -- wouldn't treat a patient in that manner EVER.

If you are looking for a top professional in his field with the most gentle touch of any dentist or oral surgeon I have been to, I highly recommend Dr.
Paola Oral Surgeons Provider Name Locked
. He did two implants for me two years ago and have just completed two more for me. He is kind, careful, gentle, and patient. He doesn't rush his procedures, he makes sure the implant heals properly before referring you back to your dentist to complete the crown procedure. He called me the evening after each procedure to check up on me and make sure I was doing ok. In addition, the staff couldn't be friendlier or more accommodating. The office is comfortable and welcoming but most importantly, extremely clean and neat. I've provided the estimated cost of the procedure, but do not go by that... Every procedure is different. I had two extractions, two bone grafts, two implants and I don't even remember what else. But they will itemize everything for you ( I just don't remember exactly). And you get what you pay for :)

I absolutely love Dr.
Paola Oral Surgeons Provider Name Locked
senior and Junior. I would recommend them to anyone who is sick of having sub-par dental work done. The issue I have is with the front counter receptionist who refuses to address the fact that I am not receiving statements. Everytime I go they tell me at the window that I own on my account and I tell them "really?!" I never got a statement. Then come to find out they sent my account to collections who by the way never contacted me so I KNOW they are not processing my information and billing correctly. This has caused me to stop going to see them. I don't know what else to do except hope to see Dr B in Giant or something and talk to him.
