"I am so impressed by the responsiveness of this organization. This may well have been the best customer service experience I may have ever had. There was a glitch" in scheduling my daughter's behind the wheel lessons, and when I called to discuss it, the owner stepped in, and offered a way through the issue that was creative, and extraordinarily generous. Likewise, I also had a very responsive experience with the classroom teacher, who accommodated a special request.

"DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. These people are rude and very unprofessional. It will take you about 3-4 months to complete the course because they overbook and only" work part time. Once you complete the classroom time it will take up to 6 weeks before you can book your first drive time then they will drag that out forever. It's like they're hoping you will just go away after they get your money. If they tell you that your drivers permit is coming in the mail don't believe them. It will get mailed to their office and then they won't call to tell you it's there. They just wait for you to call them. This happened to both myself and my neighbor. They work from 11am till noon and then take an hour break and work from 1pm to 4pm NO JOKE! Good luck getting them on the phone and if you're lucky enough to get a call back you better answer because the old women in the office will tell you " I don't leave voice mail messages so you better pick up when we call". I had to laugh because they are so over the top rude when they talk to people it's almost comical. Run don't walk away from this place.

One of the greatest responsibilities of parenting is determining when a teenager is ready to begin learning to drive, and how to support him or her in safely exercising that new freedom.

Drivers Ed reviews in Overland Park

My husband and I decided to get our daughter private driving lessons because she was super nervous about taking the road test at the DMV. Her instructor was courteous and punctual. Their pricing was more than others I had called. However, they were the only ones that could help me in the time frame I needed. The other places I called, I had to leave a message. My calls were not returned for a couple of days from the other providers. This service is such a stress reliever! I wish I had thought about doing this before. Being a passenger while your child is driving, can be very stressful for both of you! Her instructor was very calm and encouraging. He helped give her the confidence she needed. Her instructor picked her up from our house and dropped her back off. He answered every question and gave great feedback. She was very well prepared for her road test. Matter of fact, the person who issued my daughter her license was very impressed with how well she did! The lady told my daughter that it is very rare to have someone come in and score so high. After using this service, I am so thankful I did so. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

alum family. My now-19 year old son completed the IDS course in Maryland during the summer between his sophomore and senior years in high school. Now it is time for my 16 year old daughter to learn to drive and to be perfectly honest, that thought scares me a little.
Which is why I am absolutely over the moon that
Overland Park Drivers Ed Classes Provider Name Locked
has branched out to bring their unparalleled level of driver's training to our new hometown in southern California. Well, they're not exactly in our new home town, more like a 90 minute drive south of us. IT'S WORTH IT!
That is how good these folks do their job: as a busy entrepreneur, mother, wife etc, I did not even think twice about the distance when we learned about IDS in SoCal. They are THAT good. And the need for my daughter to become an excellent driver is THAT important.
A bit of background: We were introduced to IDS when they made a presentation at my kids high school on Silver Spring MD. I was impressed with the program philosophy, instructor experience and materials this program offered. That police officers teach the course is a bonus on several levels.
My daughter is eager to drive but not so much that she is really engaged in the process when I chauffeur her around town. As opposed to her brother who asked thoughtful questions about the mechanics, laws, and culture of operating a motor vehicle each time he we got in the car. As he progressed through the IDS training his questions became more sophisticated, his Behind The Wheel confidence skyrocketed without approaching arrogance, and his respect for the responsibility of driving a car was obvious. I mention this to illustrate my upcoming point:
IDS is the only program with which I feel completely safe entrusting this huge responsibility of guiding my daughters evolution from passenger to responsible, safe and excellent driver. This is a position I take with with 100% confidence after witnessing the competent and yes, smart - very smart - driver that my son became.
We have only great things to say about this course. Yes, it was among the more expensive options back in Maryland, but it was much cheaper than the hours therapy or pounds of cheesecake required to otherwise calm my nerves as my cherished children grew into drivers.

is one of the best decisions made by our family!

They were terrible - they had other people in the car, the instructor would stop at a station and eat while the student was driving. Also it took 4 months to complete the driving school. Then they penalized me because they took so long - made me pay an extra $150. They also charged me for gas, which wasn't part of the original agreement. They also charged us for pick ups (which I had to pay for in advance).

I was going to

him, but saw he had a judgement against him for several thousand dollars, so didn't bother.

The course itself was fine. My main problem was with response, ot lack thereof, to questions and concerns. Forget about anyone answering the phone EVER if you call. Furthermore, messages and emails are not responsded to in a timely manner, if at all. Totally unresponsive to customer inquiries. Very poor customer service. Avoid at all cost.

Signed up for a specific class and time.
Overland Park Drivers Ed Classes Provider Name Locked
changed the time and location but did not inform us of the change. They combined a series of classes in to one huge class of close to 40 students in a converted garage without enough seats for all the students.

made sure to inform all students of all the fines they would have to pay if they were late or made changes. The instructor spent more time fast-forwarding through videos than he did teaching according to my daughter and friend. Although we were told driving time would be at the site we signed up for, that was changed and we had to drive to a different location. Despite signing up for specific drive times,

changed the time either the night before of day of causing a huge coordination problem for us the customer. We felt for the money, they were very poorly organized and managed. I would not recommend anyone use this service but to check out other schools first.

I signed my daughter up for this program because they had a very good reputation. Unfortunately for us that reputation does not seem to be well earned.

My daughter took the classroom portion of the program a year ago. The classroom instruction was good except that a retired state police officer did a scared straight thing that included his railing against anyone who disagrees with his political or religious views. I want my kids to hear all kinds of opinions and to understand all kinds of beliefs but the driving class is not the place for that.

The day after she got her learner's permit my daughter started attempting to sign up for road lessons using their antiquated online booking system. It wouldn't let her book lessons any sooner than three months out and she could only book three lessons at a time.

She became age eligible for her license in April and started calling the office to attempt to secure lessons shortly before that time. She calls every week and is told to call back every time she calls. They lecture her about how long she has been in their system despite the fact that she has been actively trying to sign up for lessons. They suggest that she sign up for text alerts for lessons. She has signed up for text alerts three times and only gets the alerts after I e-mail them to complain. By the way, they do not respond to parent e-mails either. Not a word. You just will suddenly get a couple of text alerts.

I have also called the office. And they tell me to call back too.

I am really disappointed in this company. My experience with them does not support their reputation. If they are the best driving school I don't want to know what the worst one is like.

Excellent, excellent organization! Both of our sons learned how to drive with
Overland Park Drivers Ed Classes Provider Name Locked
and it was a great experience for both of them. The instructors were professional but nice and helpful. You are able to order extra sessions, which we did, especially for driving at night. Most importantly, both of them passed their driver's road tests on the first try and with flying colors! And we know it's all because of the high quality instructors at IDS. In fact, we know some kids that used other driving schools and they have had to take the road test a few times to finally pass. We also highly recommend signing up for the Pre-Driving Test session which takes the students through what the actual driving test will be like. This last one is a separate fee and a little expensive, but if you can afford it, it is worth every penny! You won't be sorry.

I highly recommend Mr.

and the

. He is very professional and was always on time for her lessons. He started my daughter's lessons in a parking lot and she progressed to interstate driving. He is patient and provided excellent guidance. She passed her driving test on the first try! The lessons gave me some peace of mind and gave her the confidence she needed to be successful.
