We had three companies come out and give us a quote to install new windows and sliding doors in our house.
was the clear choice.
, the owner of the company, came to our home and was able to describe in detail how the project would transpire, from beginning to end. He was also straightforward with pricing. (Both competitors had sales people come to the house. Even they admitted they couldn't tell us exactly how the old windows would be removed and the new ones put in. One company had such a gimmicky sales tactic that we wouldn't have gone with them even if we liked the product.) (A fun side note, our dog and kids liked
...none of them reacted well to the gimmicky sales guy!) We had originally wanted to replace all our windows and sliding doors but the estimate was above our price range. Since we were confident
would install things correctly, we opted to complete the project in two stages instead of finding a cheaper company. We chose to replace six of the eight windows and one of the two sliding doors. We'll probably complete the project in a year or so. As with many projects, there were a few hiccups. After installation, we noticed three manufacturer errors.
immediately arranged for the manufacturer to come out. The manufacturer came out a couple weeks later and all three issues were resolved that day. We were impressed with the manufacturer's customer service. They also have a very good warranty policy. I would put a note of caution to those homeowners with older homes: have the installer assess whether or not your windows and/or door frames are cut evenly before the project begins. Our home was built in 1979 and it wasn't until after installation that we realized that most of the windows and door frames weren't originally cut evenly. (Or maybe with the house settling things shifted?) In any event, this affected how the matching vinyl trim looks around the interior of our windows. The trim makes the framing look crooked. (This wasn't evident with our old windows because they were built into the house frame meaning the windows were crooked too. There was also no interior trim.) We brought this up to
who reassured us that the windows are installed correctly and level to manufacturer's standards. It's the original window/door framing that makes it look off. We have confidence that the windows/door are installed correctly and realize this outcome would have happened with any installer but we were still disappointed in how the trim looks, mostly because we didn't expect such a variation. Other homeowners may be fine with how a trim in this case looks. (Some trims are more pronounced than others.) If not, homeowners may want to consider new construction over retro-fit. A pricier option but could avoid the issue. Another option is making a custom interior trim that follows the window frame and the window. We'll be looking into this when we redo the kitchen.
was considerate with my feedback on this matter and said he'll give this more consideration with future projects. All in all, we would recommend
to others and plan on calling
in the future when it's time to complete our window project.
is very professional, knowledgeable, reliable and excellent with follow-through.

I contacted Mr.
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
for an estimate on repairs to stucco on the back of my home. He responded promptly and provided an estimate. I needed the repairs done quickly because I was in the middle of selling the home. He was very specific with the time frame he said he would be able to do the repairs. We had to wait a few weeks due to other work that was scheduled before mine. He started the job when he told me he would and finished in the amount of time he said it would take. Very happy with results!

I recently had some landscaping done that removed a large planter box at the base of an exterior wall. This box contained multiple tall bushes, that once removed exposed some surface damage to the stucco in several spots. After searching Angie's list for reviews of contractors near my home, I contacted
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
through Angie's list via an email with Photos & My Contact info).
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
responded the next morning and we setup a time a few days later (due to my availability) for him to stop by the house and talk through the scope of work.
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
arrived at the agreed upon time (he was early actually) and within five minutes he was able to assess the damage and give me an quote for labor and materials.
I also asked him give me a quote on some concrete damage to a 2nd floor balcony. He was very straightforward about his concerns with the damage and the possible implications to the waterproofing and structure of the balcony. He suggested I call in a roofing/patio contractor to assess the scope of work. After that conversation I decided to skip the balcony repair until I do more research.
Finally, My wife and I eventually plan on resurfacing the whole exterior of the home.
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very helpful in giving a ballpark estimate of the work, but also explaining the process and all the steps that would be needed.
I'm extremely happy with
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
's workmanship, but also his willingness to share his expert opinion. I also appreciate that he is willing to say no to work that he feels would not be in the homeowners (my) best interest.
With all that being said, we proceeded with just the stucco repair above the planters. I left
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
with a handshake and he said he could do the work the next day. No money up front, just pay him when I'm happy. When I arrived home the next day, the wall was patched and looks great. The only thing I need to do now is to paint to match the existing exterior. I couldn't be happier and I will use
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
again without hesitation.

Did a great job trying to color-match as close as possible without the original color name. Workers arrived on-site two weeks ahead of schedule and finished quickly. The work looks great!

We recently purchased a house that had an addition with an incomplete stucco job & one wall where the sheathing had rotted away due to an improperly vented clothing dryer. We had a water infiltration inspection when we purchased the house that found many suspect areas that needed to be checked out for rot. On day 1 they checked out all the suspect areas & found that only one actually needed to be removed & redone (the aforementioned dryer vent section). In the end
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
stuccoed our addition & the wrap around porch base, built a half wall on part of our back porch & stuccoed it (this will be a screened in porch in the next step), & stuccoed 2 dormers.

& his crew are easy to have around, very polite, & extremely efficient. We had many stucco guys come out &

Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
is a professional who takes pride in the quality of his work and has a lot of integrity. He and his crew were great. He responded to vm right away and gave me a reasonable estimate of the work to be completed on both the exterior an interior of our home. He went above our beyond our expectations. The patches they completed on the exterior to cover up the old wall air conditioners were seamless its hard to tell they where before. He fixed and repaired old shoddy stucco patch on the back of the house the correct way including saws all down the old wood protruding thru the patch. Now it looks perfect lie to never happened. They did the same great seamless plaster repairs to all our old vents and now they are smooth as a baby's bottom. I plan to have him come back later to stucco around 2 new window we are having replaced. I would highly recommend hiring
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his supper crew on any plaster/ stucco work to be done in the future

I'm sorry to write a negative review for Bill, but I can't in good faith write a positive one. I hired
Mission Stucco Contractors Provider Name Locked
to patch stucco and paint it once a three-season porch was removed. Bill gave me an estimate ranging from $900 - $1300 depending on how much of the wall would need patching once the porch was gone. He sent a guy to do the patch and he ended up patching 1/4 of the area. The bottom of the wall was very uneven so Bill sent some other folks to correct it. He then billed me $1300. I asked for an explanation for the highest price since only a fourth of the wall was patched. He then asked me what I thought it should cost, which I found odd since I'm not in his trade, but I stated that I expected to pay towards the low end of the estimate because I thought the range was based on how much of the wall would be patched. I also explained that I didn't think I should cover the cost of sending men out twice since the first patch was done unevenly. Bill then invoiced me $900, which I paid immediately. I waited a week and then asked when the painting would be done; he had left me a voicemail two weeks before saying he would wait a week for the stucco to cure. He emailed to say he was too busy to do the painting.
I want to be clear that Bill seems to be a nice guy and he addressed the uneven patch quickly. Still, because of the uneven patching, charging the highest price without explanation, and backing out of completing the job means I cannot recommend him. He also didn't apply the Angie's List discount, but with all the other issues I didn't bother bringing that up.
