"This company turned out to be a sort of broker for whatever place you eventually select. They were extremely persistent in contacting us and continued sending" emails and calling even after we informed them that the family member had died. Once you contact them they seem to think you are hooked.

I received calls from
Leawood Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
stating they did contact me. So I will withdraw my review, this was during a very emotional time and I did not remember the calls. Therefore it is not fair for me to leave a negative review.

My mother complained about the care, but we liked the caregivers and hoped she would adapt to her new surroundings. Unfortunately, she died within a month of moving into
Leawood Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
. The reason for the horrible review is that the facility managers, including
Leawood Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
, and the California-based duo that appear to be in charge of the business (lawyer
Leawood Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
DeBenon and his paralegal

), have not fully returned our $3500 security deposit. There was no claim my mother damaged the property, indeed she couldn't get out of bed by herself. Instead, these managers claim that too many client deaths took place in their various properties when my mother died, preventing them from paying back security deposits. They have not returned multiple calls. After a fair amount of effort on my part, including calls and a letter, they finally sent us $1500 this spring. It is now late June 2015 (my mother died in December 2014!), and they still owe our family $2000. We consider the money stolen.
I hope to save others from the horrible experience we've had with the managers of this facility. It takes a low life form to steal from the elderly and their grieving families.

I have visited here for a friend. I went on a tour of the grounds and the apartment. The apartment is rather small but very clean and they do allow pets. The food was excellent. My friend's family was very pleased with it. The marketing director,

, really took her time to explain everything and made the transition as smooth as possible.

They are a live in community that has a memory care in an adjoining part of the building. I have never seen a more resident focus environment. They staff is very warm and nurturing and they have nurse on site 7 days a week. They have a hair salon, exercise room and their dining room is stunning. The servers are warm and solution given. The quality if the food is unparalleled with other facilities that I have looked at.

They just do basic care, if they can go out on their own then they can leave. I go once a week. It is for very elderly people. These people need a lot more care, I don't know about price.

It's privately owned and they have several around the city. I go every week. They have full services. Salon, home cooked meals, laundry, and they have a van that takes people out on trips and it is very expensive.

It has been excellent. It is a clean facility, very well managed and easy to access. The staff is visible. I have been to other care centers where you can walk in and not even see the staff. They engage me and ask if they can help.

Our first meeting went well.
Leawood Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
asked me all sorts of questions to help him determine my Father's needs and which facilities would best meet those needs. He was very professional and friendly.
Leawood Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
really seemed to understand the special needs of elderly dementia senior citizens and their families. Several days after our meeting,
Leawood Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
emailed me a list of the three facilities that he felt would best meet our needs along with EXTENSIVE information on each, including contact information, pricing, and services offered. He also included a list of things to look for on my tours and questions to ask.
Leawood Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
also had a list of movers and estate sales companies that he found reliable and who his clients have had positive experiences using. His recommendations were on target and I was successfully able to choose a facility for my Dad much more easily and informatively than I would have been able to without
Leawood Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
's help. My Dad's move was made smoothly and he has quickly adjusted to his new "digs". I would definitely recommend
Leawood Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
to anyone who is preparing to move their elderly family into an assisted living facilty.
