sent us numerous color brochures and fliers listing and depicting various landscape, perennial, and annual plants which looked attractive to add to our flower beds and accent our landscape. My husband and I telephoned them and inquired further. We live in a marshy area of zone 9 and told this to the experts at

. They informed us that all their plants were guaranteed and our satisfaction was guaranteed as well. So we placed a substantial order of these types of plants and waited for their arrival.
When the plants arrived, many looked worse for the trip, but already having been advised by

just to plant them and they would thrive, we purchased many bags of topsoil and nursery soil to accent our raised beds and planted these many plants alongside existing plants and those we obtained from local

were not coming out. After a couple of weeks they were dead. Plants we obtained from other mail order

The next communication we received about the matter was from a debt collection agency engaged by

. They stated we owed $55.04. We knew we did not owe this but after not receiving any revised invoice from

and being assured we could have complete confidence in their plants and satisfaction guarantees, we found that just was not true. Under protest we paid their debt collection company the $55.04 and sent a letter to the CEO of

detailing our report here. We have not heard back from the CEO, nor from

and two employees) who have been working together for decades and know what needs to be done and how to do it so well that the work seems to flow effortlessly. We made a few changes in the plant selections, but most of the time we came around to

He understands old houses and favors the kinds of materials and styles that would have been used when they were built: brick and bluestone and fieldstone; no concrete pavers. These guys are also a pleasure to have around. Because every aspect of the job from landscape design to driveway paving was done by the same people, there were no hassles, and everything turned out well. I recommend them enthusiastically.

Fabri Statuary was great. They have the largest selection of water features and fountains in the Bay Area. It is a multi-generational business so they know all aspects of water installations. They were punctional, informative and cost effective. I would definitely recommend anyone who wants a water feature to talk and work with them.

HIRTS & AMAZON DO NOT PUT THEIR COSTUMERS FIRST-



Neither Amazon or Hirts Nursery can figure out what their return/refund policy is on dead plants. I ordered and then received ten 4" Boston Ivy plants that where delivered over 2 wks. ago. Upon delivery I promptly opened the box and the potted 4" plants looked... weak. I planted and watered the plants the same day, there where no return instructions or planting instructions with the shipment. Four days later the plants where dead.

I called Amazon told them about my problem -Amazon said that they would contact Hirts and Hirts, would have 2 days to reply/respond to the problem (turns out Hirts did not). Almost 2 wks. later and 4 more phone calls (of which I was told 3 times there would be a replacement of product or refund) I discarded the shipping box and 10 planting pots.

AS OF TODAY Amazon changed their position- Amazon told me I HAD to now dig up the 10 dead plants and ship them back to Hirts- and see if I could get a refund from Hirts. When I checked Hirts web site (which is a Co. Amazon is representing ) Hirts has NO return policy posted under returns. See: hirts.com

After all the time and inconvenience this has cost me I would have been better off going to Home Depot

Nursery here in Missoula. He is a Master Gardener, and is willing to do whatever I want done, and has given me help from sharpening my own garden tools to advice on when to move or prune shrubs and plants.
He arrives every other Wednesday between 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM and gives me 4 hours of work without stopping.
