"Owner
and Sr. mechanic
were very professional. They were complete, direct and informative at all stages of their efforts. There was a unrelated and extenuating situation with the car's Traction Control settings. The TCS/ traction control warning light was illuminated on the dash. An electronic error had occurred prior to the transmission failure.
was able to diagnose the traction control system error, and with a little help from my mechanic, they were able they reprogram the system and correct the situation. Their continued perseverance with the electronic issues (error code) and willingness to go above and beyond the transmission work was exceptional! I have been in sales and the service business all my life. This car repair experience was one of the best and most through efforts I have ever experienced... I would highly recommend this transmission shop to anyone .... 5/ Stars...Great work

"The transmission in my Infiniti G35 started to act up and I took it to Southwest Infiniti for a diagnosis and estimate. For $150, they gave me two poor options: 1) replace the transmission with a new one at a cost of nearly $10,000 or 2) install a rebuilt transmission for a few thousand less. They didn't seem willing or able to repair my transmission (which per the various codes was related to solenoid issues).
So I went to
and they are willing and able to repair tranmissions. I spent close to $3000 (expensive parts), but my car is now running fine. I don't plan to be going back to the Infiniti dealer any time soon, but won' hesitate to go back to

"When I first brought the car to
Great Bend Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
, he informed me that whoever had installed the axle on the driver's side of my car did not do so properly, and that the axle was not inserted all the way into the transmission. This was a potentially dangerous condition and could have resulted in
Great Bend Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
having to disassemble the transmission in order to remedy the problem of the gear teeth on the axle and the gear teeth in the transmission not meshing correctly. Fortunately, there are real mechanics at K&B, and they were able to finesse everything back together without having to take the transmission apart.
Great Bend Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
was patient and skillful when he hand-filed the gear on the axle to a perfect fit. He installed a new factory seal on the transmission where the shaft goes in and that problem was fixed.
The oil leak was originally diagnosed as an oil

gasket leak, but since there was so much oil on the engine, it was difficult to see if that might be the problem.
Great Bend Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
meticulously steam cleaned the engine and determined that the leak was actually from the oil pressure switch. This made the price of the repair significantly less.
All in all, the repairs were expertly done, and there have not been any other problems with leaks from the engine or the transmission. K&B is by far the best and most honest repair shop that I have found on Long Island. Just be patient with them and let them do their job!

"I left the car overnight and was assured the estimate would be free. I could then decide what I might wish to do and how much of it I wanted to do. Amazingly,
Great Bend Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
(I think that's his name), phoned me this morning to share the most BEAUTIFUL news I'd heard in a long time.

Transmissions mechanics had thoroughly examined the car and had taken the time to fully understand what had happened and why I was having it serviced in the first place. They cleared the 5 codes the cars system was showing. Then they test drove it. VOILA!!!! Problem solved! It was explained to me that the car's automatic sensors recognized there was a problem when the transmission fluid was mistakenly drained. As a result, the car went into "protective mode". So it shut itself down considerably in an attempt to force the driver to take it to a mechanic. When sensor was cleared....problems were cured. So the next things out of my mouth were "THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!" and "How much is this diagnosis and cure going to run me?" Imagine my surprise when
Great Bend Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
said "nothing". Since GBT offers free estimates, and there was nothing wrong after clearing codes...there is no charge.
I WILL NEVER USE ANYONE ELSE! IN THIS DAY AND AGE.....THE COMBINATION OF FAIRNESS, HONESTY, PROFESSIONALISM, REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND QUALITY WORK IS HARD TO FIND! THESE GUYS ARE THE REAL DEAL!!!!!!!!!!

IS A VERY STRAIGHT FOWARD AND FROM MY EXPERIENCE A HONEST INDIVIDUAL. I HAVE A LOT OF RESERVATIONS OF MECHANICS AND ESPECIALLY TRANSMISSION SHOPS FROM ALL THE BAD STORIES WE HAVE ALL HEARD OF IN THE PAST, BUT I HAVE TO SAY IF YOUR NEED TRANSMISSION WORK ON YOUR CAR MINOR OR MAJOR THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO TO. I HAD MY TRANSMISSION COMPLETLY REBUILT BY A MECHANIC NAMED ART 6000 MILES AGO AND EVERYTHING RUNS PERFECT. I WAS ABLE TO GO BACK IN THE SHOP AND TALK TO ART, AND MY IMPRESSION IS HE IS ONE OF THOSE RARE PERFECTIONIST A TRUE PROFESSIONAL OLD SCHOOL TRANSMISSION GUY WHO HAS BEEN DOING TRANSMISSIONS FOR A VERY LONG TIME AND KNOWS PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT TRANSMISSIONS. I CANNOT COMMENT ON ANY OTHER REPAIR SERVICES THEY PROVIDE BECAUSE I ONLY HAD TRANSMISSION WORK DONE, AND I CAN DEFINETLY RECCOMMEND THEM FOR THAT SERVICE.

"I just moved to
Great Bend Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
from Virginia and wanted to start the process of switching the registration of my 2003 Toyota Corolla, etc. to Arizona. I knew
Great Bend Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
has strict emissions requirements, and the check engine light had been on for several years. I knew it was related to emissions, but never got it fixed because I didn't need to to pass the yearly inspections in Virginia. I took it to another auto-repair facility who said they just needed to fix the O2 sensors. After spending $669 they realized that I actually needed a new catalytic converter. The quote was astronomical, and I decided to look into getting a new car.
Long story short, I decided to get the new catalytic converter. Was referred to Honest 1 Auto Care by a friend's niece. Dropped it off on Monday morning. They called me back to say they needed to order the part and it would take another day to come in and then be installed. They evidently had trouble finding the part. Ended up charging me for about an hour's worth of labor even though I'm sure it took longer to do all the research, etc. The part itself was outrageously expensive, and I'm thankful they gave me a break on the labor cost.
They were very friendly and professional, which eased the pain of the bill. I plan on bringing my car back again!!

"The last time I took my vehicle in it was for an issue that is ongoing. instead of telling me I need an $800 part to fix it, they are replacing the parts that are showing up as defective in the diagnostic information provided from the on board computer. I can say that they are frustrated trying to fix the issue once and for all. On their behalf, an electrical issue on today's modern vehicles is a nightmare!

"They have always been very knowledgeable, professional and very fair in regards to prices and repairs performed only when needed. They have always alerted me on potential future mechanical issues but have never performed work prior to actual need. When a job required potentially lengthy diagnosis on an intermittent problem, they told me to drive the car until the problem reoccurred, and then call them, rather than they running the car for many hours trying to recreate the problem and charging me for the time required to do so.
