I contacted
company and told them that I was handling the move for my daughter from her apartment in NYC to a storage locker in Glenside, PA. But they kept insisting that they talk to my daughter and I said that I had all the information they needed since my husband and I were guarantors on her apartment. They just kept up with this and then they called my daughter at her office asking all the questions that I could have answered. My daughter could not answer his questions since her employer DID NOT know that she was giving notice and moving.
was completely rude and would not stop talking so my daughter had to hang up on him. I called the next day and spoke with his supervisor and found out he was the one who instructed
to call my daughter. At that point I told them I was no longer intereseted in their services. Just a note that I found a wonderful mover in New
, Flatrate Movers and had the best experience. Guess what, they dealt with me and didn't bother my daughter a bit. So much for

Originally this was going to be a pretty positive review. However upon arrival at our new home on the west coast and seeing the packing job these guys did, our initial impression has gone down dramatically.
The initial impression was positive. They scheduled us right away on relatively short notice during the busy summer season, called to confirm the night before, and called to let us know they were on their way and were a bit late (20-30 mins, they said running late coming from another job in Englewood up to our house in Westminster and in mid-afternoon rush hour traffic).
The 3 gentlemen were polite and worked hard - there were 2 adults plus 1 teenager or college kid.
We had requested help to load heavy/bulky items onto an ABF UPack trailer we contracted with (which we highly recommend for anyone doing a large, long distance move). They instead loaded about 95% of our 4-bedroom house for us, which at first
was a huge help and we really appreciated it.
The grade we gave them is based on their hard work and going beyond what we asked for in loading the truck in Colorado, and the shocking and shoddy packing job we found when unloading our trailer when it arrived at our new home in
. Specifically, these are the things we are most displeased about:
1) They stacked boxes and heavy items on top of a flimsy office chair
2) We found numerous instances of heavy, bulky items stacked on top of small, fragile items, such as boxes marked as "fragile" and "do not stack heavy items on." This includes a very fragile box of artwork that we specifically asked for and wrote on the box to NOT stack anything heavy on - yet it was on the bottom of a large pile of very heavy boxes and items.
3) Similar cases of plastic storage bins where the lightest/most fragile was on the bottom of the trailer, and much heavier ones were piled on top, crushing the ones on the bottom.
4) We specifically requested they use plastic sofa and chair bags, and box spring bags, before loading them on the trailer - they did not, and those items had stains and dirt on them as a result.
5) Careless loading and packing of heavy sofas and reclining chairs - which ended up damaging, and destroying, 2 bookcases, an end table, and a vintage hope chest.
Really, we were just shocked as the trailer was unloaded. We can only surmise they either really weren't experienced movers, were just too tired from the previous job earlier in the day and just didn't give a d*** about our things, and overall would send a strong word of caution to anybody using this company in the future. We didn't watch them as they packed the truck - we assumed they were professional movers who knew what they were doing, and importantly, would take care of our items. We were sadly mistaken.
In the overall scheme of things, the damaged items noted weren't that huge of a deal considering the amount of items being moved, fortunately. Most of our things were just fine. But see the photos attached and judge for yourself before hiring this company.

I have to put my condo on the

to sell it before I can buy a house. I needed everything out of the house so I could put in new flooring. With a broken foot, two young boys and a flight of stairs, I needed someone else to do everything.
Fort Scott Movers Provider Name Locked
came to my rescue. They packed my entire condo (except beds and clothing) quickly and efficiently. They were careful with everything, whether it was fragile or not. They packed it all in one day, thoughtfully leaving the TV and couch for the next morning. The next day they were so fast loading and unloading the truck, I think they even surprised themselves. The whole experience was great - so much less stressful and expensive than I ever thought. I will never do it any other way now. I am calling them again when it's time to move from storage to the new house!

As far as my husband and I are concerned,
Fort Scott Movers Provider Name Locked
went above and beyond. I called him a few days before to schedule the move, but the delivery of the safe to our home was extremely late and therefore, the actual installation had to be postponed from the Friday installation.
Fort Scott Movers Provider Name Locked
knew our car was displaced from its spot in the garage so even though he doesn't usually move safes on Saturday, he came and moved it to its space on the lower level. The yard was wet from a fresh shower, so they brought in covers for the floor to keep things clean. They also let us use the Angie's List discount! They did a super job and we would use their services again.

was very friendly, polite; a bit of a chatterbox-- talked about his wife and family. He came and surveyed the house and boxes for a quote. He said he had moved from my condo area before and was acquainted with stairs etc. He said he would move us with two other helpers, and gave an extremely reasonable quote for entire move. Friendly and efficient movers, though tended to show off and be a bit careless with my possessions. He decided that a bigger van was needed in addition to what he had, so I rented and payed for another truck.
I had to go ahead and meet with the new landlord, and since he was still packing the trucks when we were supposed to leave, I went ahead to my new residence with a friend. He said he would take pictures of everything when he left and send them to my via his phone. Bad weather and traffic caused delays, but it became very clear that he needed more people to help move in the time he allotted--they were exhausted.
What was quoted as a 4 hour move became an 11 hour move. When he arrived he said that he had left somethings on the deck, and so would go back and pick them up and bring them the next day. I said that was ok, I would get them. I and another person also helped to unload the trucks, when they finally arrived. At the end, he tried to extract more payment than the original fee, I though this was ridiculous because it was his poor planning! I did think that he worked very hard, and I gave him all that I had, which was still less than he said he should get, but more than we agreed upon originally. As part of the agreement, he said he would return to the uhaul I rented and fill up the tank. When he returned the truck, he did not fill it up, so I was charged an extra 120.00. He also broke a mirror, but had volunteered to take it back to Bloomington and get it repaired free of charge.
When I returned to the condo, I realized he had left A LOT of things on the deck, and inside the house as well-- two large rugs, and a shelving unit on another deck. I took pictures of all that he had left behind. The mirror

had was part of my grandmother's vanity/dresser, and I was hesitant to have him take it but he reassured me that he would take it straight to a glass repair shop in Bloomington and then contact me. I called every glass repair shops in Bloomington, but no-one had my vanity mirror. That is the last I have ever heard from him. There is no contact address on the website. I have emailed through the website and called him at both numbers provided and I have had no answer so far. Though seemingly kind, this man and his business is highly unprofessional and refuses to honor his agreement with me. I can't even get hold of him just to get the mirror back, even if it isn't repaired.

Move went smooth. Movers were late but they did call prior to their arrival time to let us know of delay and they were one mover short loading truck but quick to unload and the loading went quickly for only two people.

The 5 person team showed up right on time and, after a half hour tour and discussion, went right to work blanketing doorway entries and banisters, papering hallways and carpeting. They were quick and efficient and carefully broke down and moved stuff with no damage. They identified a headboard (made of particleboard and veneer) which was structurally damaged and notified us to that effect, then shrink wrapped the whole unit and carefully moved it on to the truck. We were able to get most of our belongings into two 26' trucks and completed move out and move in within the promised time (<8 hours).
Only negative was we had asked them to remove and donate several large pieces of furniture and a TV to Goodwill, which they said they would do and then realized there was not enough room on the truck for these items. So we told them that we would handle them the next day ourselves. That was the only minor issue that we had asked for that they did not complete, but for us this was not a big deal given the level of effort and professionalism of their crew--even the 16 year old "youngster". Except for a lunch break, they all worked continuously from the time they got there to the time they finished at the new house. It was a life saver for us!

A team of three worked 8 hours loading my household possessions on a 26 ft truck. They worked very hard, staying on task through a brutally hot Florida day. They were friendly, polite and professional. They forgot on e package but firtunately I could fit it in my car and it was not a problem. Watching them work was like watching an artist since there is so much skill and visualization involved in their work.

I purchased on eBay a used dining set that contained one china cabinet, 1 table, and 8 chairs. Mr

, gently packed the items into their HUUUUGGGGEEEE truck, transported them to my house in Miami, and set them up upon arrival. I was amazed by how strong, skilled, and gentle these young men were: I took multiple fotos of the items several days before the move, then scrutinized them after

They even helped me move a large appliance within my house that was not part of the job: they just did it to be nice and because I asked them. For this, I am very grateful. I highly recommend

I don't typically write reviews but I felt like I needed to write one for this company as I was soooooo happy with them. I called five days prior for a Labor Day weekend move and even though they were booked, they agreed to "work me in". I called the home office number and '
Fort Scott Movers Provider Name Locked
' went room by room with me over the phone to determine how many men and trucks we would need. I think he underestimated the size of the truck as it took two trips but it was still completed within budget.

arrived on time and loaded up the first truck, delivered to the new house, returned to load up a second (1/2) truck and returned to the new house to unload. It took a little longer than estimated but because they estimated high, it was still below what I had anticipated and well below two other estimates I had received. They moved some really large furniture without batting an eye and both houses were two stories with a significant amount of furniture on the second floor of each house. They didn't damage a single piece of my furniture or anything in either of my houses and took great care to make sure everything arrived in the original condition they found it. I just can't even praise these guys enough. They worked like crazy and even though exhausted by the last truck load, never slowed down a bit. The only thing I would suggest is that they make sure they tell people when booking that they do not accept checks. Fortunately I had a debit/credit card but some people may be caught off guard. I would also suggest that if you are making a long distance move, that a more exact determination of truck size and guys needed may be helpful. For me it was no issue as I was only moving a few miles away.
