same day as stated in the quote.
Their work was very good, they took time to give me choices about leader placement in areas where I had concerns of Aesthetics.
The initial contact we had with them, as with the other companies who provided quotes, consisted of a home visit to assess the work. One of the other companies provided too little information about what they would do and their qualifications. The other, a national company that advertises widely, indulged in very unpleasant high-pressure sales techniques and deliberate misinformation.
We were impressed by the speed, neatness and tidiness of their workers.
The quality of the windows provided has fully met expectations.
When some small modifications needed to be made after the initial installation, the company cooperated fully and helpfully, and undertook the additional work at no extra charge.
Feb. 9 - We received a phone call letting us know work would be done that week.
Feb. 10 - Work began with the removal of the old roof.
Feb. 11 - I visited my mother to see how things went on Mon. When I walked on the back sidewalk, I felt something in my
boot. It was a rusty nail. I looked around the backyard and found several more nails, a few tools and other roofing debris.
Upset with the condition of my mother's yard, I called the company.
I was outspoken about my disappointment in their lack of clean up. They advertise on WRBS that they have a special tool for picking up nails. He said little children and dogs shouldn't be running around a work area & that I was taking it overboard.
Someone was home.
to check for mail and see how things were going. She even tried to have a conversation with one worker.
I felt someone should have knocked on the front door which is outside the fenced back yard to see if anyone could bring the dog in the house. After they "cleaned up", I went out and found other nails. Nails that could go into anyone's foot, our dog's paw (who likes to dig)
or flatten one of the new tires on my car.
Feb 12 - Work was not completed before I left so I gave the man in charge a $4000 check. They were scheduled to finish before this season's big snow fell. Between Mon & Wed I found 18 nails using a small magnetic tool from Harbor Freight. They did knock both Tues & Wed to be sure BeeJay was in the house when they wanted to clean up.
Feb 13 - Well...lots of snow did fall, 12+ inches. We were glad the roof was finished Wed. Due to bad weather, the store I work at

he would stay on it til it was. I should have held off paying in full until it was gone. It was finally taken away on Feb 18. after several calls to Humpty Dumpsters and
Feb 19 - I purchased a 12" magnetic tool from Lowe's for $15.88. Home Depot probably sells one like it too.
Once snow started to disappear I wanted to see if there were any more nails.
Feb 22 to Feb 23 - I used my tool and found 26 more nails Sat & 72 on Sun., the majority within 10 feet of the house.
I am on the safety committee where I work. My concern in still for the safety of anyone now or later coming in the yard, our dog &
other animals, as well as vehicles. This spring we will be having someone do yard work. They will need to be careful.
While roofing work may be terrific, clean up is terrible. If you choose to go with this company, make sure you clean up after them..
PS I did not know there would be a dumpster in the driveway until it showed up and asked if it was okay to park it where they did.
I also did not know upon completion of the job a sign would be posted on the property by the road. The sign advertising
accident from happening. We give thanks, no one was injured by these nails.
