"A week after the service, my lawn was getting yellow spots, like the leave or roots were burned. I called the service and ask them to come by and take a look.
" looked at my lawn around 6/18/15, and called me. He reported he saw signs of at least two lawn diseases; leaf spot disease red thread disease He couldn't be for sure, but he thought there might be some other stuff going on there. He did suggest I take advantage of their lawn aeration service. He said he also noticed I had bent grass - polla annua growing in my lawn. I asked him why did he think it showed up right after his treatment, and did he think it had anything to do with it. He said there could be several factors as to why it happened at just that time, and all were circumstantial. In no way could any treatment they did have anything to do with it. OK. I thanked him and concluded the coversation. I Googled the above lawn diseases, and reviewed the images. There are hundreds of images showing these diseases presenting in slightly different appearance. None of these were a close match to my lawn. I took pictures of my lawn, but at the moment I am not taking the time to locate them. I also looked up "polla anua". Apparently it is a strain of grass used in some golf courses. I am not sure why this came up in a discussion about my lawn problems. I called the company back on 6/22/15 and cancelled my service. They asked why, and I told them that I cannot do business with a company I don't trust. I explained (see above), and the phone associate was about to offer another disease possibility, but I thanked her and ended the conversation. About three to four weeks later the yellow went away in my front lawn. In my back yard, there were some spots that actually died off. There is a different (shady) seed that is in these areas. That are starting to come back. I have not had a lawn service all summer, save for
, and have not applied any treatments myself. This is more due to procrastination, but it works out pretty nice for this narrative. I can put up with a lot of things from suppliers, but lying is not one that I tolerate.

How to Get Rid of Springtails

One of the most effective ways to control springtails is to dry out the infested area. Springtails require a high-moisture environment to breed and thrive, living mostly off of algaes that grow in moist conditions. They will either leave the infested area or die out. If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product.  DO NOT APPLY UNTIL AREAS ARE DRY.  If area will not dry naturally, use Corn Starch to soak-up any lingering moisture and otherwise 'steer' any rain water or irrigation away from area.

Also, if there is a noticed springtail infestation around the perimeter of the structure, use the insecticide to do a barrier treatment and apply corn starch to reduce or eliminate moisture. Caulk and seal all cracks and crevices and inspect potted plants before they are brought into the house.

I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) - NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string      "Tall Fescue Control" - there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services.

There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this - it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators - pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway.

Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that.

I am a little bit disappointed as the soil sample was done and billed for but I have not received a result of the testing. Hopefully I will have the results soon of the bad area of the lawn that we have had no luck with turf growth. The initial fertilizer, fungus, and insecticide treatment had significant positive results already.

They are a turf management system and they never let me know when they are coming to treat my lawn. Communication is non-existent because they never answer their phone. All I have been able to do is email them. I asked for an invoice and it took 2 months for me to get the invoice. When I got it, the amount due was very different from the amount originally quoted. When I asked why the price was different, they told me that they will sometimes do 2 separate services when they come out, i.e. fertilization and weed control. However, this is not something that they tell you. They only left notification that they came once and they came 3 times. I didn't like the way they handled their business, so I decided to cancel the service because my lawn didn't look any different than when they started. When I canceled, through email, I never received a response. I assumed that we were ok and I was going to pay my bill. This week, after cancellation, I woke up and saw them on my lawn and when I went outside they ran off and I didn't get to talk with them. When I called to ask why they came after I canceled services, they threatened to take me to court for the bill that I had just received 30 days prior and he threatened to ruin my yard with weed

They were punctual and responsive. They did the job and at a great price. We asked them to be careful when weeding as we had some fairly newly planted ground cover... there were a few plants pulled by mistake but overall they were careful. To their defense, we had a lot of weeds mixed in with plants. We would use them again.

They are a good services provider I have hired them to fertilize my lawn. Their service quality is excellent I see a significant improvement in growth and thickness of grass. I will not say they got rid of all the weed but a significant portion. They use a slow weed

that takes some time to get rid of dandelions but once gone they do not return. I had to call them to reapply weed

in early summer when their initial spring applications did not get rid of dandelions completely. They promptly did the additional application. There is a tendency to upsell other services like shrub tree fertilization etc. Their sales people would call in annoying frequency. Overall, I would recommend their services.

I bought a coupon off of Angies List for the lawn aeration service which was apparently a means for them to schedule a full work up of a client's yard. When I let them know I would only like the lawn aeration as purchased it seemed a bit more difficult to schedule the provider especially since they wanted me to only talk to the sales person that came out to my house. When they did come out, they did not tell me to prep my lawn w/ watering the night before like others have done. They also did a fairly shotty job overall. Normally I see the cores all over the place but I had to dig in the grass and really look for them. I don't think they did a good job and all.
