Indianapolis kitchen project held up by missing trim

"I hired Indiana Carpet One Floor & Home in Anderson [Ind.] to replace some padding in our dining room, replace the carpet and padding in our basement, and install hardwood floors in our kitchen as part of an insurance claim.

"The salesperson was very friendly and helpful, and the basement carpet was professionally installed and much better than what was previously installed. However, the dining room's partial pad replacement was of a much lower quality; it sank within a few months.

"The product used on the kitchen floors was also very low quality and has started to warp and peel. They also didn't install trim boards as stated on their invoice to the insurance company. When I called about this, they said the product they intended to use wouldn't work, so they didn't install anything.

"They later came out and installed the trim in three-fourths of the kitchen. I called to ask why the rest wasn't done and they told me it was an oversight. They came a few weeks later and installed half of that missing trim. I called again and asked them to complete the work and they told me someone would be out in a few days.

"I signed off on the job so they could get paid by the insurance company. I've called five times about getting the last bit of trim installed. Every time, they tell me the person I need to speak with is out and they'll call me back when she gets in.

"No one has ever called or come out to install the last section of trim. I've even offered to install it myself if they drop it off."

DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want them to complete the work and fix the issues."
