"After visiting this dentist, I would recommend going to another nearby dentist if your goal is simply a healthy mouth (vs. having cosmetic / vanity services performed" by a questionably ethical DDS). From the Invisiline promotional video in the lobby to the tactics used by the attending DDS Hatel
, this is an establishment looking to build a large invoice for the customer through "upselling." This dentist has no positive online reviews and no customer testimonials on his website. (Side note: after visiting this dentist I found 2 great dentists nearby with many positive testimonials--
Dental Center and
Dental.) Here is an account of my time being a customer at this business : 1.
and
, the dental assistants, were polite, humorous and good conversationalists. Setting up my appointment was
. They accommodated moving the appointment after ?ber failed to pick me up on time. 2. My primary dentist takes 40 minutes to clean and do X Rays. This dentist took 80 minutes. 3. After the x Rays and photos were taken of my mouth, Hetal
DDS viewed the images with me and an assistant. He sounded very concerned. He used pregnant pauses and under the breath "hmmmm" sounds as we all studied the x Rays and photos together. He asked me, "do you see the problems here." My answer was "no" because my primary dentist always has positive things to say about my teeth and
. I have been to dentists many times and I have never been asked to interpret an x-
or a dental photo-i view this as a way for a dentist to engage in the court equivalent of "witness tampering" to get the (non-discerning) client to affirm "I see a problem." 4. Dr.
said, "it is clear you do not floss frequently enough." Interestingly, I had already told his assistants before he came in that I have not missed a day of flossing in over 6 months, and I regularly flossed 3x a for years before that. He also said "it is clear you do not get teeth cleanings." This is also an example of Hatel
DDS not using impeccable words and truth-I checked my records after this visit and i last had my teeth cleaned 13 months ago and before that regularly every 8-12 months by a dentist who has been in business since 1975 5. At this point I explained to dentist Hatel
that I did not believe he used impeccable words and truth to run his practice. He yelled something about "get him to sign the extended liability release form before I clean his teeth." Having this angry dentist clean was my teeth was enough to give me terrifying flashbacks of a torture scene in the movie "Marathon Man" where holes are drilled in
's teeth by an evil villain. Overall Synopsis: "
is a firm specializing in using 'witness tampering' tactics, fear, obligation and guilt as tools to coerce clients in to becoming submissive, 'no questions asked', high dollar spenders for nourishment of Dr.
's ego and bank account."

"I have an appointment once every four months and have for about 15 years. You know that you're getting the best care possible. I don't think that there's" any one better in the area. He's always been available for me. The office environment is very pleasant.

Periodontists

People with sore or infected gums often see a periodontist, a dentist who specializes in gum diseases. The most serious gum condition, periodontitis, can cause the teeth to fall out if left untreated.

Gum disease affects many Americans, in particular those in their 30s and 40s. You have several different options available for treating gum disease, from simple at-home methods to professional dental care.

Proper flossing techniques will gently slip between the tooth and gum tissue and remove debris from the pockets, helping prevent gum disease, says Gausmann. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Tina K. of Houston)

Got gum disease? It's common but still not normal for your gums to bleed when you floss or brush your teeth. Your dentist can determine how advanced disease is.

I am familiar witht he ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers across the country, in particluar, the one in Overland Park, KS.  They are a "one stop" implant center.  The doctors there are at the top of their field, and an advantage is that you have all of the specialists that will be working with you in the same place.  That would have to make communication easier between doctors.  They usually offer seminars for patients and I think, offer free consultations, which is always worthwhile.

If you chose to go the other way, some Prosthodontists will place and restore the implants themselves. In other cases, an Oral Surgeon or Periodontist will place the implant and a Prosthodontist or General Dentist restores it.   Fees can vary quite a bit from office to office and with the different options for restorative materials.  Some offer free consultations, for others, they charge a fee that might be applied to any future treatment in some cases.

The first step is to schedule a few consultations with different providers, which it sounds like you've already done.

The most important factors when deciding which practitioner to work with:
:
.1.  You should feel comfortable asking your doctor any questions so that you have a good understanding of the procedure itself, healing time and long-terem outcome, and possible complications.  Write down a list of questions and take them with you to the consultation.

2.  Ask about the experience of the practitioner. How many similiar procedures have they completed?  Have they had any major complications with any cases?  Ask to see photos if possible.

3..Figure out if it works out better for your schedule, to go to a "one stop" provider or to separate providers for the placement and the restoration of the implants.

4. Follow your instincts.  If you feel rushed, didn't get direct answers to your questions, didn't communicate well or had any other negative feelings, this probably isn't the doctor for you.

5. Consider insurance coverage and financing options.  If your dental plan covers implants and it is important to you to use a preferred provider, you will want to check your list.  Many times, insurance does not cover implants, or at least not all of the steps.  You may want to inquire about payment and financing options.

I hope this at least helps you feel a little less confused and a little more directed. Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can be of further help.
Sincerely,

As a  Dentist, I am sorry to hear about your denture nightmare and I know how frustrating that can be.  I am surprised that your doctor wasn't willing to work with you on some type of solution.  A few options would be either remaking the dentures once more,  or offering to return some of the money and have you return the dentures.   Unfortunately, the doctor has put in a lot of their time and lab expenses, but the patient also  has time and money invested.  You might try sending a letter re-explaining the problems you hand and offering an acceptible and fair solution.  Be sure to keep a copy of it and any correspondence you receive from the Dental Office.  In the event that you don't get anywhere, you have documentation of the problem.

At any point in the process, did they have you sign something saying you were happy with the denture set up?  Some practitioners will document the patient's acceptance at the try-in appointment, before the denture is processed.  At that time, changes in tooth arrangement, size and color can be made with minimal lab expense.

If the letter doesn't get you anywhere, you might try going to the governing body of the dental profession in your area.  I am a dentist in Blue Springs, Missouri, USA.  Here, we have the Missouri Dental Board  (or the Dental Division of the Missouri Department of Professional Registration.)  This is the entity that licenses us to perform our professional duties in our state.  They often have a process to file complaints against a provider if you were unable to resolve the problem yourself.   After your complaint is received, they will contact the doctor to get their side of the story, then try to mediate a solution between the two parties.

As far as a new set of dentures, you might seek out the services of a Prosthodontist (specializes in dentures and removable appliances - extra training and certification beyond general dentistry) or go to a local dental school.  The students are supervised and checked off at each step by professionals.  Most dental schools also treat patients through their faculty practices, and you can often get the services of a specialist at a lower price.

I hope this information is helpful to your situation, and I wish you well.

My experience was wonderful and it could not have been better. He’s very educated and knowledgeable in his field. It was just wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a better dentist. I’ve never been to anyone like him. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable also. I would recommend him to whoever needs dentures or just a dentist. I will by all means use him again in the future.

She is super. There is not a number high enough for me to rate her. I have been a patient with her for about 2 years now. She was willing to come in and see me on her day off when I broke my tooth. She is very available and will leave you her cell number is you have any problems so you can get in touch with her.

I have used Dr.
Warsaw Periodontists Provider Name Locked
for 4-5 years now. He has actually completely restored my smile. It's because of him that I can smile today without gaps and yellow teeth showing. Today he removed a tooth. The procedure was not painful at all. The doctor frequently makes sure that you are not in pain and if you need a break, he gives you a break. I have always been able to tell that he and his staff are attuned to my needs as a patient.
I can tell you the reason I chose him years ago to restore my teeth. After talking to a few Dentists, and having bad past experiences with some, he made me feel comfortable. And he communicates with you! He wrote a plan sitting next to me and told me how hew was going to address each problem tooth I had. As things turned out, I needed several root canals and lots of fillings. i have had all that work done at his office. Some dentists send out root canals and other procedures to Endodontists etc.. Dr.
Warsaw Periodontists Provider Name Locked
is qualified and does those procedures all at his office. This eliminates finding a problem, getting a referral, calling a strange doctors office. Then you sit on their waiting list for a initial exam, and 6 weeks after the problem was found something gets done. He once did a emergency root canal within 24 hours of seeing it was needed for me.
I actually have a check up appointment tomorrow at his office. I am sure I can expect the same quality service and dental work when I go. I am grateful he and his staff have restored my smile.
