"Once the work was done they did a great job. It was VERY difficult getting the service repair scheduled. They have one person that takes the initial call. Then I" had to wait for the estimator to call. That took over a week. Then after the estimator I had to wait for the scheduler. That took another week. Overall it took a month to get this repair done. Everyone I spoke with was very nice. It was just very difficult to get anyone to follow up and call me back. I rated a C in professionalism because I feel follow through has everything to do with displaying professionalism. I shouldn't have to continually be tracking down someone to contact me.

-Laura H.

returned my call quickly and came out the same day to give me an estimate. He helped me select the color that best matched the trim on my" house and said he could arrange the installation within 2 weeks. Within just a few days I received a call that if it was convenient for me, his crew could come out the next day as he had a cancellation. I was given a time and the guys arrived right on time. They were courteous and professional and quickly went to work after confirming the gutters they brought matched the color I had selected. Once they completed the work, they cleaned up the area and I was impressed that not only were none of my plants disturbed or damaged, I did not find any debris from the installation. A couple of days after this job was done,
called to be sure I was satisfied with the work. I highly recommend

Two notes #1 20 feet is going to cost you more per foot that 100 feet.  #2 All prices are relative to Your market ie Omaha is less expensive than St Lious.  Here expect to pay on the 100 foot job $5 to $6 per foot of gutter (5" aluminum) plus the $4 to $5 a foot for the downspouts and $15 to $20 for soffit and facsia covering ie vinyl soffit panels and painted or vinyl clad aluminum covering the fascia.  In the trade a soffit & fascia job.

Unless you are constructing a French Drain (dry well filled with rock or debris and no exit) style system you use a non perforated system.  Cut the plastic flush on the angle where it daylights if the slope is great enough,  If you need it river rock can be used to construct a dry riverbed type drainage ditch out from the daylighted drain.

Short answer: It's up to you. Many home remodeling contractors, including exterior remodelers, don't expect a tip since they've already provided a set price within the contract, but if you really feel that they've gone above and beyond, you may feel obliged to tip them. Angie herself answered a very simliar question in a recent column: Should I tip my remodeling contractor?

Not knowing what type of eaves (the lower edge of the roof) you had before the new soffits were intalled I have to guess what might have happened. If you had closed eves (no soffits, just rafter tails with blocking between) before as was done on some older homes it is possible they removed or drilled holes through to the attic. When this was done there should have been a baffle installed to direct the air flow up and over the insulation. This would only be possible for the soffit installer to do if the wood blocking was removed and not just had holes drilled in it. If the insulation contractor did not go all the way to the exterior wall that could very well be the cause or it he did not make sure the insulation was pushed down to make contact with the ceiling material. If the house was never cold before I would bet the problem is at the eaves. You should call the insulation company for an answer.

The ice build-up in the gutter should not, provided they are properly attached and solid, rip out the gutter.

When you get snow slides and large chunks of frozen precip that let go and slide down the roof with velocity, those are what tear off the gutters and create damage.

If you are concerned about the snow load, a snow rake and/or a proper roofer can remove some of the accumulated snow.

Some ice damming is unavoidable in the correct conditions but I would urge you to look into proper ventilation of the roof and air sealing and insulation.  This will reduce your home's inclination to form these ice dams in the future.

Gutter Installation reviews in Springville

They were prompt and very courteous. Their work was exceptional despite the fact that our roof pitch is scary high. I would highly recommend them.

From my initial telephone call, I was able to get an on-site estimate within 2 days. Price was reasonable and references were given for several gutter installations they had recently performed in my neighborhood. When I stressed that I needed the installation scheduled ASAP (location of new downspouts needed for a large pending landscape project), the Technician assured me he would do his best to coordinate my job with other scheduled work. Luck was on my side, American had a crew in my development that same day with enough material to complete my installation. New gutters/downspouts look great, connections to my existing system blend perfectly.

I am so pleased with my experience. From the initial phone call to job completion, everything went smoothly. I called because rain was pouring off the roof and hitting the ground within inches from the house. After a few minutes on the phone with
Springville Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
, he identified the problem and had a plan to fix it. The next day, I received a text (according to our arrangement and my preference) that they would be out the following day. Sure enough, they arrived right on time and got to work. The job took exactly the amount of time they estimated. The bill was exactly what I was quoted. I then received a phone call to make sure I was happy with the job. They are extremely professional and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend them!

Quick response thru Angies List after inquiry, honest - does not lure you in with a low price and then the 'Got ya!' price raised as more work needed as I have experienced with another similar company in
Springville Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
, and his product works like no other. It has been 6 months and usually by now, I have the 'green glaze' and aroma of mildew starting on my roof even after treating with the moss treatments you buy in the big box stores. I have purchased and tried every moss treatment available and nothing compares to the product this company uses.
Also with this company's product, my roof looks great, my landscape was not affected, the pets did not get sick and an area where a downspout empties over concrete did not get discolored.
Looking back, I probably would have saved money had I used this company rather than buying all the the products that did not work 100%.

Called to arrange gutter cleaning. Receptionist stated that we would receive notice of their arrival a day in advance. In addition, when asked the receptionist said that it was $75 an hour and that it would take approximately an hour given the size of our house. We knew it was late in the season but assumed the job would be done in appropriate weather and might take a little time. We were willing to wait.
Arriving home one day from work on a very snowy day I saw footsteps and leaves scattered all around the house. I learned from my husband that they had called him to say they were on their way earlier in the day. I had intended on being home when they arrived as it seems convenient to charge hourly for a service that no one is around to actually observe. We then received a bill about a month later that noted that due to build up of ice in the gutter the worker was unable to complete the job in one corner of the house. In addition the job took 2 1/4 hours, considerably over the approximate hour we had been told and long considering when the job hadn't even been completed. I questioned whether the extra time was due to the level of snow and ice in the gutters.
We called to question a.) why the job was done when clearly there would be ice and snow, b.) why we didn't receive the days notice as we had been told and c.) question the length of time that it had taken. After a number of phone calls over a couple of months ranging from "The usual receptionist is out so I can't help you" to "I'll have the manager call you" we were told by a receptionist that $75 had been taken off the bill and a new bill had been sent.
Upon receiving that bill via email we realized that no money had been taken off and the $75 she had spoken of was the deposit we had to put down just for the them to even come out. It wasn't money taken off, it was money we'd already paid! I emailed back and again brought up our concerns. I received a response from the president of the company asking us "what did we expect" and stating that they would NEVER say how long a job was (though they did!) and that they say they will call the day before OR day of (which they never said). Maybe that is standard procedure but unfortunately the receptionist we spoke to did not relay the correct information.
He also made some odd mention that usually 2 guys, not 1, come out and it takes two of them them 1 hour therefore it is actually two hours of work. So I'm still not sure whether they charge $75 per hour or $75 per hour per man. However, if it is PER MAN they're not clear in their description to customers and if it's not per man and they typically use 2 men per job then we were charged double by only having one employee work on our house.
Unfortunately, this company is unable to accept when their employees give customers incorrect information and have confusing charging policies (One man? Two men? Per hour? Per man?). The owner attempted to rectify the situation by offering us money off IF we bought product from them and had them do more work on our house. That clearly isn't happening, and we chose to just pay the bill and move on knowing that we will not be using this company again.

Oversold and under-delivered. Screens for gutters were at 5' at places and sometimes screening did not match the mounts. Waited 3 weeks plus for job to be finished.
