installed a 55" flat screen and did a terrific job. His attention to detail is very good and is open with suggestions, without trying" to figure out a way to get more money out of you. Additionally, he connected all audio and video components we have.... receiver, CD player, tape player (who uses those), cable box, DVD and yes, a VCR. For optimal compatibility purposes he also moved a DVD player we had in the basement to our great room and took the DVD in the great room to the basement . When complete we had a beautifully installed
and no cords showing.
also took time to instruct us on how different components were connected and what we would need to do to access each one. I would gladly use
again and would recommend him to friends.

"Second time I've used
. As always very professional group of folks. The technician,
was polite and professional.

Stereo and home theater systems

The ideal stereo or home theater setup will depend on your needs and budget. On your own, or with help from a professional installer, you can put the pieces together to channel multiple entertainment options.

It appears something is wrong with your model number - I find a BDP-BX110 and a BDP-S1100, but no bd-110.

If one of those is right, try googling this type of phrase, with the correct model number - Sony bd-110 audio output ports

and you will find both the owners manual and operators instruction manual online. They say these units are primarily made for computer, not home theater connection, as they come with USB and HDMI ports for primary output, to connect to a computer or laptop device.

It appears there is a coax connection on the back that says DIGITAL OUT, that would be your audio connection to the home theater, but your home theater needs to be digital ready in one of the formats this player passes the data in. If computer formatted home theater system, then use the USB or HDMI connection (HDMI passes better quality).

if your home theater is set up for analog (red and black paired RCA jacks), then you are going to need a digital to analog converter, which is way beyond this forum because there are too many data formats and device connector types and sizes. Google for a convertor for your model device, or maybe Sony has one at their online store.

Home Theater And Stereo Installation reviews in Lafayette

Overall I had a great experience with
Lafayette Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
. I purchased the Big Deal of 3 hours of work with a consultation. I first scheduled the consultation to discuss the work I wanted done.
Lafayette Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
came to my home and we discussed options. He had a quote to me by the end of the day, which I accepted.
I scheduled the work for a couple of weeks later and
Lafayette Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
came to my house to complete the work.
Lafayette Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
was incredibly professional and dedicated staying most of Friday afternoon to complete the work. Everything he did turned out great.
If I had to do it again the only think I would change is that I would probably not have hired them to program my remote (and I only did it as there was no additional cost with the Big Deal I purchased). While
Lafayette Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
did program my TV perfectly, I ended programming all of the other components I needed after he left, which resulted in me needing to reprogram the TV. So
Lafayette Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
did nothing wrong, it is more that the cost/benefit wasn't there for me if I would have had to pay extra for it.

Lafayette Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
was referred to us by a friend, so we called them to set up an appointment. They came out and took a look at our house and what we needed done. We talked though our budget and options. Later that night they sent us an estimate for the work. We approved the bid and later that week they started the work. They were very punctual, polite and professional. Throughout the job, they kept their work environment neat and clean. After finishing all the work on the bid, they convinced us to calibrate the audio. I never thought there would be such a difference in calibrating your speakers! My living room sounds amazing and my touch screen remote is super easy to use!
- Nikki L.

The important things: One time, good customer relations/customer focus, talked through options of speaker installation locations and performed scope of work without any issues.
I already had wiring and components required for the job but they did recommend a few things which I agreed to as far as options. (wall mount styles, plates, cat 6 cable........)
I did prep the job well in order to reduce the time. Removed celling tile for wire routing, placed all items on on table to easy access, helped pull wire when it was quicker for two people to manage vs. 1 which helped on the total hr's on the job.
There were two offers on line for two different services provided by this Co. I purchased the security install vs. the stereo install but the office was great to work with. They kept my same apt. and asked me to go on line, return the security offer and purchase the stereo install which only tool ~10 min.
Overall great team/Co. to provide services. Easy to work with and quality was good.

It went very well. Provider had the best estimate and the quality of the products and service was top notch.

They were the most knowledgeable of all that I interviewed. They give you all of the information needed to make a decision without trying to up sell. Very friendly and easy to work with. Took the extra time to address all of our concerns and questions. They even knocked off $500 from the original quote because they finished early. Very clean and tidy, I didn't see any dust from the speaker holes they had to cut out. Very trustworthy. I recommend them to anyone needing Audio/Visual work done.

Initial response and promises were all pretty good and the installation began pretty quickly and smoothly. After that is when it all fell apart. During the installation I have an iPod dock that was set up to play through in ceiling speakers in the house. When I requested that it also be available on my patio, the installer started to say "that would be easy, no prob at all...." when the owner jumped in and essentially said, "well, we can do that, but it's an additional charge". I had 2 pairs of speakers moved from two ceiling locations to two others. I asked that they just get 2 pairs of "dummy" covers to block the holes left in the ceiling, but they claimed it was an odd size and never did it, leaving 4 holes in my ceiling. I recently had a different company come in to essentially redo my entire system and they put "dummy" covers in immediately like it was no problem. After a massive installation like that, there are always going to be "tweaks" that need to take place to get the sound correct, but within about 2 weeks after the install, the subwoofer wasn't responding at all...period. I called to let them know, but they wanted to charge me a service call fee to even come look at it and even argued about it. Customer service is abysmal, at best. All my devices were placed in a rack mount due to the volume of items necessary. As you could imagine, there are tons of wires involved in such an installation. behind the rack, the wires were going everywhere...there was nothing orderly, neat, nor tidy about it. It literally looked like one of my children hooked it all up themselves. My system supposedly needed to have 2 controllers (I later discovered that 1 would have sufficed.), and one of them went bad within the warranty period. I called and they came out and said that since it's under warranty, it wouldn't cost anything and replaced it. Almost a year later, I had a bluray player go out that needed to be replaced and I texted the owner to see what it would take to switch it out. He told me that when I paid my overdue invoice that they would come take a look. I NEVER received an invoice from them for anything, yet he claimed that they sent it twice (not to mention I was told it wouldn't cost anything. They were literally there maybe 30 minutes). I literally live 2 blocks from their store and there's no possible way that they don't have my correct address. I told him that if I owed any money (I didn't), that I'd be more than happy to pay it, but that if paying up front was intended to be punitive, then I wasn't interested. That was 7 months ago and I've yet to hear from them at all. They are a classic example of overpromise and underperform in every sense of the expression. I know of at least 2-3 others who previously used
Lafayette Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
who will never use them again either. I'd steer clear at all costs. (In my case, that was about $5,000)

We had a rather challenging request in regard to having our flat-screen TV wall mounted. I called at least 4 different companies for estimates, and quite honestly,
Lafayette Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
was the only one who really understood what we wanted to do and felt capable of doing it. He was able to give me a detailed estimate of every aspect of the install over the phone, and he completely adhered to the estimate when he arrived to do the install. His work was detailed and professional--he did not rush the project at all. The end result looks and works great.
Lafayette Home Theater Installers Provider Name Locked
has made himself quite a niche business. I would highly recommend him.

It went great, and we will definitely use them for future projects. For the price, they did a ton of work. They were up in the attic running internet and cable lines, dropping everything down through the ceiling, mounting our projector and screen, running all of our surround sound, setting up all of our devices including all the software programming. It turned our great, and we couldn't be happier. The only negative thing I have to say is that it did take all day (10 hours), so if you are doing a whole room, be prepared to stay home. That's not really something that is their fault though because we had a lot of work done, and it does take a long time. You have to do it right, not quick.
