Veterinarian Reviews in Kokomo

Our cat Pipsqueak had been mauled on his face, head, and both sides of his neck by another cat who invaded our yard, leaving his cheek and neck very bloody - bad enough that we were concerned the wounds were deep and would require flushing as well as stitches. I was able to get him in to see the vet within half an hour of calling. It was necessary to clip the fur on his neck/cheek to determine the damage done by the other cat, and he didn't like the sound or feel of the clipper, but the vet and his assistant help him securely but gently and they were shortly able to determine that his wounds were not nearly as serious as we feared.
No stitches were necessary, thankfully. The wounds were swabbed with hydrogen peroxide, and the vet gave him a shot of antibiotics as a prophylactic, and if I remember, a pain shot as well. Dr.
told us to keep him inside for at least a couple of days to let the injuries heal better, and to call if there were any problems.
Pip showed no interest in even venturing outside the house for 2 whole days after the incident, and he really likes to go out and explore his domain (fenced back yard) several times per day.
While some of their other services seem on the expensive side, the fact that the cats have their own waiting room as well as boarding room keeps me coming back to them when I need a vet. The entire hospital is very clean, comfortable, (we've been seen by a vet on both sides of the facility), and the cat clinic side caters to cats only; no dogs around to upset patients who have to remain there for a few hours or overnight. Dr.
the vet we've seen most often there, and he is very good with cats. Although the other vets are also good, Dr.
just seems to have a way with cats; not all of mine are friendly towards other people, but most of them accept his ministrations with minimal fuss.
