House Painting Reviews in Greenwood

The painters arrive and powerwashed the area to be painted. They then began a painstaking process of scraping and preparing the wood for the paint. The did an exceptional job in this area. They also replaced some wood beneath the gutters that had rotted. Again, they did an excellent job and appeared to really care about protecting our home from further damage. At the first sign of good weather, they started the painting. They primed the bare spots thoroughly and applied a second coat. Outstanding job!

The bid arrive Monday morning at 7 am by email. It was not itemized to include a breakdown of what I was paying for or if it included my Angie's list discount, I wanted to see his time and labor estimate and supplies that he was planning on. I asked
to please itemize and indicate my discount off of the $1,500 bid. He declined the request and said that it included my Angie's List member discount. I thought his bid was unreasonably high. This wasn't our first interior remodel of this 31-year old home. Another independent painter and crew removed heavy sawgrass wall paper and painted a room three times that size for $1400 in 2010.
now has a $199 Big Deal for 8 hours if wallpaper removal repair and painting on Angie's list. Was he trying to tell us our job was a 10 day job? I got the impression that
just didn't want the job, so bidded himself out of it instead of just being honest. Unprofessional and disappointing. we've moved on to other projects with other A.L. Super Award
. Sorry,
, you're going to need to improve your professionalism and bidding/pricing before I ever consider you again.

Add painting to the ever growing list of home maintenance jobs I thought I did well until I observed a professional perform the job.

came to me from Angies List. They responded very quickly to my request for an estimate on the work I was requesting be done. The sales associate was very knowledgeable and made suggestions for products that I was not familiar with. Our deck was in poor condition. He educated me on different products and told me why one might work better for our home than another.

is a very popular's tough to get on their schedule. Our initial appointment was in March. We paid our deposit to get on their list. Our work was not completed until October. The next time I use them I will keep that in mind for the timing of the work I want completed. Their carpenter made repairs to areas of the exterior that had rotted or needed other attention. Their painters were very pleasant and courteous. The work took about two weeks to complete. We could not be more pleased....especially with the deck. Their sales associated suggested a darker color than I would have ever chosen...and I love it...looks like a brand new deck. I will never buy a paint brush again!

My home is 5 years old and the original exterior paint job was minimalistic and poorly done. I don't think the builder primed any of the wood trim and only sprayed paint on heavily enough to meet the eyeball expectations of the original (inexperienced) homeowner (I am 2nd owner). The paint was starting to age and crack in places and actually flaked off in others. All the other houses in the neighborhood of similar age and materials are showing the same aging.
I took the time this summer to paint all of the 1st story trim and soffit areas, but did not want to be up on a ladder painting the 2nd story trim and soffit. Falling hurts and I am not practiced at being on the top of a ladder. :)
I asked for estimates from 5 companies. One would not use my paint because they warrantied the work and only used this one expensive brand. One was booked through mid-November, which would have been too cold. Three gave me actual estimates: $960, $600, and $375 (

Painting was the best price by far... The company does not have brand new work-vans with their names and logos printed on it or agents with company logo golf shirts, or fancy tablet computers to input your estimate information... They have the necessary equipment and staff with the skills to do the job. Period. That's all I needed. If that's all you need, call

Our Condos were painted by

in June and

. Their employees were very professional to our owners. Several unit owners stated that they had hired painters for over 30 yrs. and this company was the best. They came in, painted the units without causing any damages to landscaping. There was not one drop of paint anywhere. All the landscaping was covered up prior to washing the exterior of the units. The owner

I used this company at the suggestion of my friend. I have never been more impressed with anyone more than this company.

, the owner was very responsive, quick and performed the installation of my hardwood floors in my kitchen and dining room. These floors look amazing and I would 100% recommend this guy to anyone I know.

Bill did an outstanding job staining my porch. He and one other person worked non-stop and the porch looks great. They were very careful to not drip and used tarps. I could not be happier with the job and would highly recommend Bill (just be patient when trying to contact him, it may take a couple day for him to get back to you, but it is worth the wait!)

The roof replacement went well. The foreman was professional and inteligent and advised me that a couple deck boards were needing replaced which we did. The roof was completed in one day which included removal of the old roof. The problems started after that with the gutters and communication. The day the gutters were supposed to be installed, the tech called and said that he might be able to make it to the house by that afternoon that he just needed to wrap up a couple things at his last job site. It rained later that day and the tech did not show up. The next time the weather was good the tech came out to install gutters and completed. After inspection, the gutters were installed over rotten wood in a couple different areas that I specifically asked to have replaced and the rest checked. The leaf guards that went in top of the gutters were not installed properly and were uneven and poking out of the top. At that point I called my main contact and let him know that this was not acceptable and that it needed to be fixed. I also let him know that while I was inspecting the completed job, I found cigarette butts through the yard (not a smoker, very irritating), peices of cut gutter in the yard, and sheet metal screws in the driveway and in the yard. Didn't look like the crew did much cleaning if any at all. While talking to my main contact person I let him know that the painting had started but was not finished yet and that he could tell him to hold off until the new wood was replaced so they could prime and paint the new wood then finish up. At that time he mentioned that he would contact the gutter division manager and have him call me (was a new manager that week). That week the painting crew finished up painting even though the new wood was not installed yet. After talking with the gutter division manager he reassured me that the gutters and the wood were going to get taken care of and that they would paint the new wood as well. It took several phone calls over a period of several days in order to get the gutters taken care of and on top of that I got asked what paint color I had picked out because they had misplaced it. I drove to the house which was over 20 miles away (one way trip) just to get the paint color so they could mix more paint for the new wood. The following week the gutter crew showed up to remove the gutters and install the new wood facia and soffit. I went that night to check the job and noticed that there wasnt any primer or paint under the gutters to protect the wood. I called the gutter manager the next day to let him know what I seen and asked if the gutter was going to loosened from the wood in order to prime and paint behind it and I was insured that it was going to be done correctly. After going back a couple days later I noticed the paint was complete and the gutter shields looked better. I can tell where they painted around the gutter and not underneath it. There is paint on the new gutters now since the job was not done right. After going through the hassle of trying to commicate and make sure everything got done properly, in the end the job is still not done properly. The paint crew missed spots and it makes the paint look blotchy in areas and on top of that I have paint on a couple windows that I had to go back and remove. The gutters leak at almost every single seam, but I do not feel confident that when I call to notify them of a problem that I will get the service that I want and the only service that I want is a GOOD QUALITY JOB!! I could have paid less and had somebody hack it out if I had known what I was going to get. I would not recommend this company to anybody. If anybody asked me how

did for me I will let them know that the roof turned out great but would tell them to stay away from any other service they offer.

was punctual and extremely friendly. I talked with him and showed him the rooms. I had to leave my house three times while he was there and never worried at all. Very friendly and trustworthy. Completed job in less than 7 hours allotted and asked if he could do more since he had the time. He even helped me put my furniture back. Planning on using him again.
