Veterinarian Reviews in Greenfield

It didn t go well. The girl at the front desk was nice and very sympathetic. She gave us a room and told us that someone would be right in. About 40 minutes later someone came in listened to his heartbeat and took his temperature. This person never identified herself so we don't know if she was a vet, tech or something else. About 20 minutes after she had left another woman came in, again she did not identify herself. She challenged me on whether or not my dog could see based on the fact that my dog was able to navigate around some fixed objects that were in the exam room. She did not take into account that we had been in that little room for over an hour by this point or try adding a different "obstacle" for him to avoid. She then announced that she would have to run a long list of tests. We asked if all of them were necessary and she said that if we cared about our dog they were. If not we could leave and our dog might die. We agreed to let her run the tests. Once the results came back she came to the conclusion that our dog was having vision difficulties because of cataracts. After paying almost $1500 and spending close to four hours at IVEC, we realized that our dog wasn't going to be helped here and left. As soon as our regular vet opened we took him in. Our vet disagreed with the diagnosis and referred us to a university vet clinic. There they ran a couple of tests and determined that our dog had very high blood pressure and as a result the retinas had detached. We then took him to an ophthalmologist who agreed with the university vet clinic's diagnosis and treatment plan. It cost us less to see two specialists and our regular vet combined, as it did for the one four hour visit to this facility. In the end we wasted a LOT of time and money using this facility.

We bought a dog from a humane society and she had a sinus problem that we didn't know about. He is very personable and doesn't advertise, he works all word of mouth. I am very glad because we probably would have had to put her down if Dr.
couldn't have helped us.

Lamb was admitted after two unsuccessful visits at a local vet, where he was treated symptomatically for diarrhea & low blood

Within 2 hours of discharge, he went completely comatose, and we took him to the emergency hospital on Bash St in Castleton. The next day we paid $1700, had no diagnosis, and was referred to

Terrific. I have followed Dr. Z from the beginning of her practice two years ago when she worked part time for other hospitals while waiting to open her own

I had a great experience with ivec. Our mastiff escaped from the yard and got his paw caught in an animal trap. We were unable to get the trap off of his paw ourselves and took him to ivec. I called them on our way up and gave them an estimated time of arrival. They were waiting for us when we arrived and they helped me get him inside to the waiting room. One of the men that works there got onto the floor with my baby and was able to get the trap off. As soon as they got his paw out of the trap a vet came out and examined the paw to make sure the blood flow was ok etc. They were busy that night and once the trap was off and his paw was not needing immediate care, we did have to wait a while to get x-rays and a few other tests run. This is an animal er and they do take the most urgent cases first. The price is also a little high, but again it is an animal er. I don't know what we would have done without them. They do great work and I would highly recommend.

This is a low cost/high volume spay and neuter clinic. Therefore, things here run a bit differently. You must call to set up a day in which you will bring your animal in. When that day arrives, you enter the clinic and wait until your name is called. Which can be quite awhile. The staff was incredibly professional and explained the entire procedure to me. The animal is then neutered/spayed over the course of a day; you pick up the animal after 5:00. My cat handled the neuter quite well! This not-for profit organization works to provide pet population control, thus decreasing the amount of animals euthanized each year. The price is beyond incredible!! I paid $25 for a service that cost me $220 (a week earlier) for my other male cat! Take neighborhood strays or your own animals to help control pet overpopulation!
