"I won't be trading
for another mechanic any time soon. They diagnosed my transmission issue and brake issue quickly.
" worked with me on the price and had the work done when he said it would be finished. I was also surprised at how clean the shop was.
are professional people and clearly know the automotive repair business. I live a good 30 miles away from their shop, but consider the trip worth it.

"I took my motorhome to these guys because it was not shifting into 2nd gear. They had my motorhome sitting at their shop for over 2 weeks before they even got it in to look at it. After" they got it in, they called and told me it needed a new tranny. 3 weeks later it was done (this was over a month from when I dropped it off). I go to pick it up and paid them $2000 cash. I should have used a credit card so I could dispute it. When I went to drive it home it was doing the same thing as when I dropped it off. I went back and had a tech ride with me so he could see what it was doing. He said it wasn't the tranny, it was probably something electrical. I told the owner I wasn't happy and didn't want to pay for a rebuilt tranny that wasn't needed. He argued with me and said it was needed anyway. They are very dishonest. He wanted me to leave it with him to fix. 2 more weeks later he calls and said it's done, come and get it. It was the speedometer bouncing around confusing the tranny when to shift. When I went to pick it up I asked what are we gonna do about this bill. He told me don't worry about it, he would take care of the speedometer bill. I told him I didn't think it was cool that they misdiagnosed the problem and I have to pay for a complete rebuild. He got mad and started arguing with me again, saying that it needed to be rebuilt. When I got in it to go home this time the radio/cd player was broken; they broke it taking the dash apart to fix the speedometer. I showed it to him and he said he would get me a new radio and that he would call me when he got the radio. Of course, he never called and I had to fix it myself. This is the first review I've ever written. I'm not a review type of guy, but I think people need to know how crappy and dishonest of a shop this is. I would not recommend anybody to go there. Their corporate office is no better; I have called, and emailed several times to file a complaint, and nobody has called back.

"I found
in his shop working extra hours on a Saturday when my old motorhome would not shift into reverse. With it parked on the street, he worked for more than" an hour on a very inaccessible mechanical linkage involving the transmission and the "automatic" parking brake and got a temporary fix that restored reverse (so I could maneuver at the local RV park) but no "Park" or parking brake. As agreed, I came back on Monday and, in spite of the backlog of regular work, he spent several hours with his head and arms in the
of my rig working on that linkage. I'm enough of a mechanic that I know what he was up against. With no parts available, he managed to fix the linkage so that all systems are "Go". I could easily have been stranded in Ponderay, ID for several days, but thanks to
, I was on the road again Monday, at a cost that was much less than he could have charged. As one who is new to the RV'
lifestyle, I am very grateful for skilled and honest service professionals who willing to go the extra mile when I have an emergency.
was indeed one of these when I needed him.

Transmission Service reviews in Frankfort

Called the shop and the owner answered. Explained my situation over the phone and was advised to bring the vehicle in the following Monday - it would be checked out at no cost. Dropped off the vehicle after hours and received a phone call from the owner later on Monday explaining that they had found the problem, could fix it the next day. Later the next day received a phone call that repairs were done. Picked up the car and it drives well. Not sure I could ask for more.
So the rest of the story - prior to taking it to

I had taken the car to the dealer. They quoted a new transmission replacement for a range of $3300 to $5500.

troubleshot the car and determined the transmission was fine - the front wheel bearings were the issue. $550 later we are good to go.

We have a 93 VW Golf & something was obviously wrong with the 5-speed manual transmission. It was so bad we figured we wouldn't be able to afford to fix it & were seriously considering selling it as is. Then a friend of ours who is a retired auto mechanic suggested that we take it to

before we listed it for sale & we're SO glad he did. We dropped it off in the morning,
Frankfort Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
phoned us about an hour later with a diagnosis & repair price, and we picked it up that afternoon. Considering VW repairs are notoriously pricey, we thought $535 was not bad at all for a major transmission repair. AND we're happy to say that we're keeping our little pocket rocket - it's paid for & now runs better than a new one. Turns out that it's "

and Total Auto Care" - we thought they were only transmission specialists but they do it all from a

oil change to major repair/rebuild/replace. So now they are THE-Go-To guys for all our vehicles. They do great work at fair prices, AND they're honest. That alone is hard to find these days.

It went perfectly. This is by far one of the best auto repair shops I have been too. They communicated with me all day with updates and even texted me pictures of what they were doing when I asked. I have been using them for over a year now and they have gained my trust. I will always recommend them to anyone who asks. And the last time I went, they started selling and installing tires and rims at great prices. Haven't bought any yet but when the time comes, I will.

I had problems with the transmission. I was not sure if the transmission needed to be fixed replaced or not. After some trouble shooting I figured out there was not transmission fluid in the car. I called

and had the car towed to their shop. They quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed the problem by replacing a worn out transmission line.

My Jeep had been sitting for about 5 months. I finally got around to replacing the engine and after a lot of research, I decided to go with
Frankfort Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
. They were great to work with. Punctuality was great and they definitely went above and beyond what I had anticipated/expected. Not only did they do the work promised, but they also took the time to address a few small issues that I had not even told them about. They just saw a few things that weren't as good as they could be and fixed it! They didn't charge me anything extra for it either.

were extremely professional and very easy to talk to and work with. After I picked it up and took it out for a few hours, I stopped back by to inquire about something and they just took it into the shop on the spot to make sure that everything was perfect. Then

told me when I bring it back in for the (free) 500 mile oil change he would give me a free alignment just because I had to stop back by to have my question answered. I told him it wasn't necessary but he insisted.
This was my first experience with
Frankfort Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
and I have driven past the shop daily for over 10 years. I am greatly surprised by the quality of their work and their prices which are dead on with everyone else if not better.
They also gave me a 10% military discount. That was pretty big on a $5K job.
What it boils down to is that
Frankfort Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
is my new shop for all of my vehicles when they need ANYTHING!

I want to tell you how very satisfied I have been with the service that your shop provides. Each time I bring my Sprint 2500 in with a problem, you provide immediate service. I am always greeted in a positive manner and your staff is always ready to help. You have performed quality work and I leave your business knowing that I will not hesitate to return for future service.
Often in today’s world we give and receive more negative comments/complaints than we do the positive. That is why I felt it is important to send you this letter of appreciation. Thank you for making my service experiences positive. I will continue to bring all
of my vehicles to your repair shop. Also, I will recommend you to my family and friends.
