"They seem to be more interested in running more test than anything else. This appointment was after a prostate biopsy that after it I had to have a catheter in for" a week. She did not even examine me on my last appointment. All she wanted to do was run more test and even another biopsy after only 6 months after the last one that went south on me. Looking for another urologist.

Urology and urologists deal mainly with the bladder, urethra and kidney. However, the specialty ultimately involves the entire body because these organs affect many functions and cause serious quality of life issues when they don't work well.

While many surgeons sing the praises of robotic surgery, some say it’s no better than traditional surgical options, despite a higher price tag.

To varying degrees, experts say, prostate cancer treatment affects sexual function in most men, including inhibiting ejaculation, diminishing libido and causing erectile dysfunction.

Urology reviews in Fort Branch

I visited this practice a few times due to experiencing a burning issue after urination. I have several complaints.
First, it's apparently impossible to see one of the doctors for something like this. I kept getting passed off to the Nurse Practitioner. No offense to the NP's out there, but while their NP is professional and genuinely wants to help, all he kept doing was giving me more prescriptions. I was on two or three different antibiotics because the NP said my prostate was "wam and inflamed" and he wanted to try calming it down. The last straw for me was, after the antibiotics apparently "failed," when he put me on prescription-strength ibuprofen. I told him I have acid reflux and that the ibuprofen was going to aggravate it. Over-the-counter ibuprofen aggravates my acid reflux slightly whenever I use it for occasional aches & pains, so it was likely prescription strength was to aggravate it even more. The NP basically just told me to "stick it out." This is when I decided it was time for another opinion as I didn't want to give myself heartburn when my acid reflux is under control and potentially create a new problem as a result of the ibuprofen's side-effects.
I wanted to see a physician after nothing the NP had tried was working, and they said I'd have to wait weeks or months (same story as when I made the first appointment). So I called
Fort Branch Urologists Provider Name Locked
Urology and I got an appointment within 2 weeks. The urologist there sent me for diagnostic imaging to make sure everything was fine and gave me a script for something completely different (Uribel) that worked. Incidentally,
Fort Branch Urologists Provider Name Locked
's urologist also did a prostate exam and told me it was fine for a man my age (40). The CT scan and ultrasound he ordered confirmed this (the
Fort Branch Urologists Provider Name Locked
NP never ordered any kind of imaging - just urinalysis and bloodwork) and that my bladder and kidneys were fine except for some cysts on my kidneys that appear to be benign.
Go to
Fort Branch Urologists Provider Name Locked
Urology. It's worth the trip to Philly and the slightly longer wait in the doctor's waiting room. This practice's doctors apparently don't want to be bothered with you unless you have a major issue, and their NP is simply not effective.

I went to Dr.
Fort Branch Urologists Provider Name Locked
for a surgical procedure. Can't say enough good about him. Absolutely the best. Second to none in disposition, bedside manner and surgical skill. Even gave me his home phone number afterward if I had any questions. Best medical professional I've ever worked with. Can't recommend him highly enough.

I was very ill and needed emergency surgery and Dr.
Fort Branch Urologists Provider Name Locked
drove miles to the hospital and did the surgery around 11:00 pm. He saved my life as I had Septis. He is a doctor who will spend time talking and explaining things to you and your family. He is just the best. I see him for check ups now and will always see him, hope he never leaves his practice.

- Colleen L.

He is excellent. He's great, very thorough, very understanding, explains things carefully, gives you options, outstanding manners with his patient. I will absolutely use him again in the future.
- Kathleen H.

He spent less than five minutes with me and did not talk about the problem I was having at all. He did not do further tests to diagnose my problem based on the symptoms. The following day when the symptoms returned I sought care from another doctor who did the tests and diagnosed my issue and treated it successfully.
