Plumbing Reviews in Fishers

Asked for information if they would be willing to work with us, a property management company, on pricing and estimates. I guess the receptionist didn't understand what I meant when I said I needed estimates before the work could be approved and was trying to send emergency plumbing teams to do the work that day. She failed to mention that they had a person that would do the estimates for free until the end of our conversation. I told her that that is what we would want and that we would have approval for the work generally around an hour or two after we received the bid. She informed me that I would need to send our company's credit information and I provided her with my email address to send the forms we needed. It has been over a week and I have yet to hear from them.

I contacted
's plumbing inc. through my warranty company for a water stain on my kitchen ceiling they responded quickly and sent me a technician the same day. when the technician showed up he asked for the service at the door without even asking to look at the leak, asked me to sign the service work sheet
before even doing any work . he went up stairs without wearing any overshoes, he kept going in and out multiple times spending more time on the phone more than what he spent at my house and eventually he told me that he thinks that the leak is because of worn off a shower door gasket and left without even giving me my copy of the service work sheet. Now I still have the leak and he took a $100 dollars just to look and talk on the phone and I have to call another company to look at the leak.

I had an Angie's List "Big Deal" to have this company come out and inspect my sump pumps and install a new quiet check valve.
I have 2 main pumps in the pit and a back-up battery pump (total: 3 pumps). The technician told me I only had one main pump in the pit and it was burned out and only the battery back-up pump was working. He gave me an estimate of over $600.00 to put in a new main pump.
I called

on the Spot, an Angie's List provider) for a second opinion. We all went down and looked and there ARE 2 main pumps. One is working, one had a bad switch. The battery back-up pump is not working at all.
This is certainly not the information we got from Plumbing & Heating

, who told me I was lucky we had the battery back-up because that was the only thing working!

did not provide correct information, nor did they install any
new check valve, since they said the main pump was burned out, so I am
going to ask for a refund of my $99. I don't want them back, thank you.

They are excellent to work with, from the owner

to the guys in the field. They are friendly, work hard and seem to do excellent work. I have had no issues with any of the work they have performed for me. The quality and the little extra things they do make you want to have them back.

It went very well, these guys did a first class job, and I highly recommend them.
I won't hesitate to call them again.

The employee that came out for the installation was very nice, professional and prompt. However, approximately a week after installation, we went down into the basement and noted a big pool of water in our basement, and investigated that it appeared to be coming from the water softener, from a screw that did not appear to be tightened during the installation. My husband called and left a message, that was never returned. I called to follow-up, requesting that someone come out and take a look as it could be an issue with the installation. I was told it would be $89 to come out and that it was not an installation issue, but one with the water softener and that I would need to investigate it with the manufacturer. We purchased a year maintenance agreement for our back up sump pump, however will not be renewing, and will not be recommending this provider to any friends/neighbors as apparently they do not stand behind their work. Very disappointed.

The inspection was fine, and a bargain price. At the end, the tech told me that there was mold in the fan and at the bottom of the unit, and asked if the basement had been flooded. I was also told that the evaporator should be cleaned. On a scale of 1-5, it was noted to be a 3 in terms of need to clean. The last problem they noted was that the run capacitor for the blower was weak and needed to be replaced. Time needed to do this work was estimated at 2 hours.
I was pleased to get this information, as there was a musty smell in the ac, and previously having the air ducts cleaned did not solve the problem. The techs were polite, and nice. I asked them if they could clean the mold today, and they said yes. I asked how long it would take, and they said between an hour and 2 hours. So I asked for an estimate. Then came the shock.
Cost would be $822.99, $306.25 to clean the fan, $392 to clean the Evaporator, and $124.74 to replace the capacitor.
When I inquired as to why the capicitor needed to be replaced, they had no idea why, or what it did, they could only tell me that it was 10% low, and they suggested replacement at anything over 6%
I declined the service, based on the following reasons:
I didn't think it was reasonable to pay $400/hour for their labor.
Cost for the capacitor at online appliance parts store was $2.23
Can of chemical evaporator cleaner at Lowes/Home depot-$5.......

it $10 for 2 cans to be generous.
Cost to replace the fan blade with a brand new one if I was too lazy to clean it....$77

I realize that many folks would not be interested in doing the work themselves. I prefer not to do it myself, which I why I requested an estimate from

. I may get estimate from other service companies to save myself the hassle. However, there is no way I'm paying $400/hour to clean parts. Oh, and BTW, since the basement had not flooded, the most likely cause of the water/mold build up would be a plugged drain line from the unit to the drain. The $822 would not have taken care of that, and the problem would have resurfaced in a few years, for another $822.
The capacitor that they wanted $125 to replace was reading 10% low. Assuming that their meter was dead accurate (rare for capacitance), and they took the capacitor out of the circuit so the motor wasn't loading it down (unlikely), the difference in that 10% means that the motor would be seeing 3.07 amps instead of 3.3 amps, which is hardly a major issue for a 6 amp motor. New capacitors are rarely such tight tolerance outside of the electronics industry, and rarely in this size. 10% tolerance for parts in electronics is pretty normal for new parts. If anyone would like to do the math themselves, the formula is that Amperage =2*3.14*f*c*v which is 2 times

, times the voltage (120), times the frequency (60 cycles per second in USA) times the capacitance (0.0000068) instead of the rated (0.0000075).
I was shocked at their prices, to say the least. It seemed that the great offer for the system check up was just an excuse to try to upsell me on outrageous service. I agree with them, the mold should be removed, but not at $800.

They came out quickly and did a great job. The cost was a lot lower than larger companies and service was excellent.
