As the nationwide drought of 2012 has diminished or dried water many water wells, well owners are learning it may cost them hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars to restore flow.

Drought-prone regions look to drink seawater, wastewater

Water conservation efforts include recycling wastewater and taking salt out of seawater. Green living advocates praise efforts, but worry about effects on environment, marine life.
