All we are asking for is to refund us the $200, but they don't seem to care about our plight, or the quality of the work they did on our floor. Now, if they do the right and ethical thing and refund the $200, I will take this review down and we'll all move on.
Overall, this was very disappointing, I was polite with them the entire time, and they actions infer that they are the kind of people that will take advantage of that. Use another contractor, avoid the terrible experience we had with them.
"We had our bathroom floor grouted as an interim stopgap at
XXXXXXX in Carmel. We were the ones where the tiles were not properly attached to cement board.
While we were aware of the risk of the grout becoming loose again because the
old grout could not be removed (which it already has). We were not aware that
the new grout would not properly set, cure (whatever the term is). Now we
cannot even clean our bathroom floor, even with a light broom, because the new
grout acts as a dust and comes up all over the floor. In fact, if you light rub
a finger along the grout anywhere on the floor (even the spots where the
previous grout was not loose), it comes up off you finger as a fine dust. Our
floor is perpetually dusty now from this dust, and cannot clean it properly
because rubbing anything over the grout generates new grout dust. If we had
know this would be the condition, we never would have agreed to have this done.
It would have been better to just have the old cracked grout in place, rather
than this grout-dust problem which never goes away. Honestly, I need help. Is there anything we can do to
eliminate this grout issue? We are even considering having some cheap vinyl put
over the whole thing until a permanent solution can be identified. Please let me know what we can do
Installers were on time and very careful moving, dis assembling and reassembling furniture as needed.
Completed the job in one day and left everything clean and in its place.
