My husband and I were in the
for a new car for me to drive to work. I informed my husband that I had narrowed my decision down to 3 different vehicles:
Liberty, Ridgeline or Charger. He liked my selections, but we started talking about a style that we both seemed to like more, the
Wrangler Unlimited. Once my husband and I started the process of test driving different vehicles, we began to get confused with all our options. We needed something for children, pets and still wanted something fun for us to enjoy together. Still concerned about budget we proceeded to the office to talk about our overall budget with
, our saleman. As soon as we reached the showroom, my eye was drawned to the showroom floor and the red colored
wrangler unlimited on display with leather interior, heated seats. My husband and I agreed and it was a waiting process on budget.
reassured us with a price we could deal with and the purchase was made. I couldn't be more happy with their help and friendly staff. They even went a step further and made a call for us to my insurance company to help give the new vin number for the transition process. Thank you!

Our 1st day of owning our new 2008
Highlander was not pleasant. Road noise was so loud inside the vehicle that we couldn't even talk on a cell phone without the person on the other end saying "is your window down?" We took it back to the dealer at 0930 and when I came back at 1330 all they had done is "test driven" it. They told me "they could hear nothing." Then it was my turn to drive so they (Service Manager and Salesman) could ride along. After driving and being treated like I was crazy and nuts, the service manager said "
maybe I should check the air pressure." He got out and I heard Shhhhhhhhh - he was letting lots of air out in every tire, and finally he got back in. He said "every tire had about 47 psi of air in them. Then everyone started talking about the road noise and how much better it was inside the car. Amazingly they both said that sounds so much better, but keep in mind they never heard nothing to begin with. Our Highlander does ride, handle and have less inside cabin road noise now that it has the correct 33 psi of air. We are happy with most features, including the DVD in rear seat for kids although it does block the rearview mirror when it's down - this seems like a true safety issue! We also like the back up
feature and the stylish "Limited" design. One thing we don't like is how the NAV requires you to be stopped to enter in a Point of Interest. It was told to me "that is for safety." Problem is when your on a trip and the passenger wants to play with the NAV - they can't! Recommendations for future buyers: do not buy the NAV - install your own German, it's a heck of a lot cheaper! Do purchase the sound
undercounts and undercarriage/rust protection? Do not purchase satellite radio, your better off purchasing it after
so you can take it out and move it around from car to car or even inside your home. Do buy the rubber floor mats - amazing how much sand, dirt etc. Gets in your floor board. Be leery of paying more for a HYBRID for 3k-4k more. Do the math, will you actually save money? Keep in mind at some point batteries do go bad. I don't know too many used car buyers that want to buy a car knowing the batteries may need replaced. We hope the 2008 Highlander will turn out to be a good purchase - only time will tell, and just worry about how the
service center will handle any service!

"Inexperience is not an excuse for incompetence."
From the get-go, Ed was trying to sell me a car, but not the one I wanted to purchase. I made it clear several times that I wanted to buy out the lease, that I needed to know the interest rates available for financing, and he kept saying things like "I can get your payment lower...have you seen the 2013s?" I spent an hour and a half trying to get this deal done and he kept making promises like "We can beat the bank..we're

, come on!" and " I think we can do 1.9% financing, let me check." From this point on, I realized he had no idea what he was doing.
I started to fill out the paperwork and told him that I would take it home to have my wife sign it and would return later that night. He said I could not take the paperwork home. Several years ago, I did just that. At that point, I told him I had to leave and would possibly return the next day. I emailed him the following day and told him that I could not make it in and that I wanted to purchase our van and wanted to pick up the paperwork to have my wife sign it. I said I would continue with the deal if those conditions were met.
The next day I got a phone call saying "When can you get your wife in?" It dawned on me that he wanted my wife to come in so he could sell us a new car. I told him to read the email and that I would be in later to pick up the paperwork if he agreed. He emailed me back later that day and said he would get it done.
Later that evening, I went in to pick up the paperwork and he said "when can your wife come in?" At that point, I almost lost my mind because he had not even had the paperwork drawn up yet. I told him she wouldn't be in at all. He suggested to me that he couldn't do the deal without her in and I told him that it had been done in the past. He finally went back to ask his manager (which should have been done before I arrived, along with the paperwork being drawn up), and came back to say that they were busy and that they'd draw up the paperwork.An hour and a half later, I was in the finance office, fuming. I spoke with Cliff, the finance manager, telling him about my experience. He apologized and told me that Ed was new. I proceeded to sign paperwork and asked about the interest rate. He ended up telling me 2.99% and that was the best

could do. Abruptly, I stopped and mentioned that Ed said that

could beat 2.34% and even had mentioned something about 1.9%. Cliff looked at me like i had three heads. He told me that at no point did Ed ever talk to him about this deal and that this was the first he was hearing about it. After a tense exchange (and a very annoyed look from Cliff), he ran us through a few banks and got a better interest rate at 2.24%. I took the paperwork home to sign.
I called and complained to Tamerra, the customer relations manager. She was extremely helpful and investigated what had happened. It was clear to her that there was a problem and she offered to make it right. I am happy with how transparent she was and her willingness to admit that they had screwed up. I not only felt valued as a customer, but confident that my experience was an anomaly. They have new systems in place to ensure that this will not happen in the future.
I ended up purchasing the van with
