I expect a full refund ($99, I believe) and regret that our experience with Angie's list will reflect today's inconvenience. We will find another contractor ourselves.
This was a complete and total nightmare. He was supposed to come back and finish the job but has not returned multiple calls and messages. So I had to hire someone to come out and fix the drywall mess he left. And tomorrow another electrician is coming to fix the light fixtures and ceiling fan. I paid $1175 and was left with a huge mess that I have had to pay others to come in and fix and clean up."
The work was not completed at that time and we agreed on a follow-up date; he scheduled someone else and didn't show. We tried a number of times to re-schedule at times he offered; he didn't show up, nor did he call. He stopped responding altogether: his voice mail box was full and he responded neither to text messages or e-mail. We got fed up with changing our schedules to accommodate him and have brought someone else in to finish the jobs: the dimmer switch, intercom, and photo sensors on the porch lights. The new electrician, well recommended by a friend, has questioned some of the work Ed "completed".
