"I came home from work today and there was a little sign in my yard which told me they'd been there. This is my second treatment and so far I am very pleased." My lawn is on the "Bridge" program which will control the weeds in my lawn as well as fertilize it. I saw a big improvement after the first treatment (no more clover) and expect to see even more improvement over the course of the next year. Then we switch over to an entirely organic program!

"We have an annual contract with
for trees and shrubs, for the entire yard. Tree and shrub serviceman came out to spray trees and shrubs" and was upset that I was only charged $49 per treatment. I had no idea how much I was paying, until he told me. He refused to spray my backyard. My five lelands in the back are dropping leaves and turning brown, so I asked him to at least spray them. He got very angry, stormed off to his truck, kicked the passenger door shut, got in and slammed his door, and sped down the street to the other end of my lot. He then got out, grabbed his hose, and stormed into my back yard. Was so unprofessional and irrational. Also, did not leave an invoice in my door describing the services he performed, as they normally do. That same day 8/18, I called
to complain, was put in a queue, left my number. The next day 8/19, they did not return call, I called back and explained to
what had happened and asked for a manager to call me. She was very apologetic, said my problem was high priority, and assured me a manager would call me. Also told me serviceman had delleted my service call from the system, so she did not know who it was, but asked me for a description. On Friday, 8/21, I still had not heard from
. i called back, talked to another
, she pulled up my account, read my complaint, and was very apologetic. She told me it had high priority status and a manger should call me by 3. She said if not, I should call back. Really??? That evening, still no call. I emailed the corporate headquaters stating my problem. I have never received a call from anyone. On Monday, 8/24, I called and canceled my aeration service. Today 8/25, I called and cancelled the rest of my services. Asked for a refund since I had prepaid for the year. Meantime, my cypress and lelands are full of spider mites and two ornamental trees have scale, even thiough i have paid
to treat my trees all year. Lawn service was fine, Very disappointed.

How to Get Rid of Springtails

One of the most effective ways to control springtails is to dry out the infested area. Springtails require a high-moisture environment to breed and thrive, living mostly off of algaes that grow in moist conditions. They will either leave the infested area or die out. If there is an infestation that cannot be controlled by drying out the infested area, use an appropriately labeled insecticide with a residual time These will typically be a liquid concentrate form, a wet-able powder form, or a dust product.  DO NOT APPLY UNTIL AREAS ARE DRY.  If area will not dry naturally, use Corn Starch to soak-up any lingering moisture and otherwise 'steer' any rain water or irrigation away from area.

Also, if there is a noticed springtail infestation around the perimeter of the structure, use the insecticide to do a barrier treatment and apply corn starch to reduce or eliminate moisture. Caulk and seal all cracks and crevices and inspect potted plants before they are brought into the house.

I would talk to your local lawn and garden supply store (or mill and feed) - NOT a box store or hardware store. There are also selective grass control chemicals. YOu can research this by Googling using search string      "Tall Fescue Control" - there are lots of articles by the USDA and individual state cooperative extension services.

There is a treatment called chlorsulfuron TFC (Tall Fescue Control) that will do this - it worked for me in western New York, but took 3 years to finish out all the tall fescue. It may now be limited to use by commercial applicators - pretty potent stuff. Can yellow bluegrass or make it phytosensitive, but our looked OK during treatment because the TFC was applied in the fall for best results, and our lawn was dormant till spring anyway.

Tall fescue can also be controlled by real short mowing, but only in areas where the bluegrass is dominant and really thrives so will eventually crowd out the trimmed fescue, but you may be too far north for that.

Lawn Treatment reviews in Mount Vernon

The most recent and final problem is that in March I ordered an a flea and tick application as part of my annual service. During the summer, we were having problems with ants. The technician said the lawn needed treatment and it was approved, but the technician did not adequately explain there would be an additional charge over the annual cost. We were billed for an add-on to the annual service, at a price far exceeding the price of the original service we ordered. When I contacted the office, my complaint was ignored and no offer was made even to investigate my complaint.
During this period, I found that mites were destroying a well established hedge. Either the spraying included in the annual charge was not done, or it was ineffective. It took numerous calls, at least one no-show by the technician, and not less than 10 days to get a technician out to spray, or re-spray if they ever did it in the first place. That was despite my plea for quick service due to the obvious damage to the hedge. After his visit, the technician left a note saying everything looks great, despite the obvious distress of the plants! That was six weeks ago and the plants have still not recovered.

This was the second treatment for the year. My first from The Lawn Guys /
Mount Vernon Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
Care was in May; prior to that I had a treatment in March from a former lawn service company. At best I have to say I am disappointed. I had to call to ask for my
Mount Vernon Lawn Treatment Services Provider Name Locked
treatment because my lawn had so many weeds (and a Grub treatment added that I did not order and didn't pay for). In mid August I called because of weeds again. It took seven days for someone to come and do spot treatments; only part of the weeds were sprayed.
Aside from my lawn not looking any better than what I had from my previous lawn care company, I was frustrated by the promise made to me in a phone solicitation in May about "how great my lawn would look". It didn't happen.
Frustrating to say the least. I have cancelled the service and gone with another company.

First I wasn't signed up after agreeing to the service and giving my credit card to prepay for a year. I had to call back 3 times before I was finally signed up. The weeds came back so I called for a retreat, I was told they would be out within 3 business days. 5 days later I called and was told a manager would call me back. 4 days later I still haven't received a call. 2 weeks later they finally came out to retreat. I will never again use

knows the area and how to grow grass using the correct chemicals and treatment, He is very knowledgeable with chemical treatment. Even he himself was impressed at how well the yard was doing in the time frame at the time of the year, He continued to show up every two weeks to evaluate progress see how yard is doing and making adjustments as needed with watering. currently we have some weeds coming up but have some very nice bermuda grass so now is the time to chemical treat yard to

are fantastic to work with, they always were in good communication with my husband and myself and they did great work! We highly recommend them!

They also offered a 1/2 price special on weed and feed for 2 months. After the 2nd application, I mailed in my payment and asked that they discontinue the service. They still sent someone out the next month to treat my lawn.
I have no problem with their service, but I feel their communication could have been much better with scheduling, and paying attention to service cancelations.
- Barbara A C.

We have really noticed a drop in the amount of insects and cobwebs since starting the pest control.
They also spray for mosquitoes on our property. We are now able to enjoy the outdoors even more.

- Tess S.

They are all nice enough, but I am super unhappy with the condition of my yard...I've said this to them before and they came out promptly, but I was charged for the visit and nothing really changed. My yard looked bad all of last year but started to look good this spring...now it is back to terrible. I have an irrigation system (not that I've had to use it much with all of the summer rain we've had), so I know it's not a lack of watering...and I know it's not too much watering because my neighbor's lawn looks fantastic and they get the same rain that I get...

has sparkling reviews other than mine so maybe I just slipped through the cracks, but I still pay them promptly and my yard still looks terrible.
